- How to root samsung s7 and s7 edge from at&t!!
This method is quite long but it is the only workable method available for rooting s7 and s7 edge phones with the Qualcomm chip. This should work for AT&T as well as Verizon variants.

Very amazing video. At first i was a little bit iffy about rooting my galaxy s7 since i just got it and i'm kinda new to the whole rooting deal but it ended up working fine and i didn't have to factory reset at all. All i need to figure out is what I can do now that I have phone rooted. Keep up the good work.

I was messing around on my phone for a bit and I was trying to get xposed and then I did all the procedures and stuff and now my phone says something like I have to turn off my phone and take it to a store to get help and it says that att detected software that's not allowed. is there a way that I can fix this?

ok, my model is SM-G935A on Android 7.0 and after following this youtube for two days I was stuck in bootloop. But not anymore. Two links I'll paste for whoever is stuck on this issue. First download the firmware from this thread and unzip: forum.xda-developers.com/att-s7-edge/how-to/sm-t3802411. Second, get this ODIN. I tried a bunch of ODIN's and none worked. Be sure to run odin as admin: odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.12.3.zip. Put phone in download, flash and get phone out of bootloop.
Hi, I rooted my galaxy s7 from att using this method
It worked perfectly and I had my new rooted phone! So a couple of days after the root one of my apps stop working and I cannot get it to start working, it was a pushup workout app, so I restart my phone and it gets into a boot loop stuck on the at&t logo. I was very sad as I did not back anything up so I wiped my phone using the recovery boot and signed in and re-flashed the root rom through odin and re-installed supersu and it worked perfectly again. The next day I have the same problem but this time with snapchat and instagram so I knew what was going to happen and I restarted and it did the same thing. This time when I went into recovery boot I noticed "dm-verity verification failed" in red at the bottom. As of now I am just going to do what I did last time and wipe and re-flash as I made a backup this time and just restore my phone and hope it doesn't happen again. If someone could please explain why this is happening and maybe help me fix it I would be so happy thank you!

Hi Sam, for some reason, it says root not verified for me. I tried the factory reset and still it doesn't work. Can someone help me? I am not sure if it is because of the root file which I used on Odin initially.

There is a newish root that worked for me on the latest firmware. I followed your tutorial and had to reflash to stock because of boot loop, but if people do their research, they will find it.

NOTE: Does NOT work for oreo(android 8.0). on this model. trying to flash the rooted version of the firmware will make this model stuck in a bootloop, only way to fix is to re-flash with stock oreo firmware for your particular model phone
Hey! Just a quick question. I followed all the steps and everything went fine up until I tried to download the Root Checker. It would not let me download it, or any other app for that matter. Also, my SuperSU Binary won't update. It keeps giving me an error. Can you help?
Question, the file that you gave us says G935X and not G935A. The one you used in your video is the G935A and that's also the one I need. Please reply as soon as possible, thanks.

0my phone started life as a g930a, but when i bought it it was unlocked for any carrier and on start up i do see the unlocked icon, but the phone is not rooted. this method should still be the correct process for me though... right?

I need to do data recovery on my S7 att. But in order to do that, the recovery software requires root access. All root procedures seem to erase the local data. Is there a solution to this?

the odin is an iso file? how should i use it when it is only 1mb/?
I got mine with an Android 8.0 system. If I try to root with this method, will it preserve the operation system's version or will it revert it back to 7.0?
