My husband is disabled and he’s been in a wheelchair since the age of 16. I knew he was in a wheelchair and I thought, this guy makes me laugh, we have fun together and I can just be myself around him. I didn’t think too much about sex. Well, as it turned out, he was a firecracker. Just because a person is in a wheelchair doesn’t mean they can’t have sex, maybe not the traditional way, but they can. People ask us, how do y’all do it and I say to them, the same way you do but better. We get a little more creative.
I'm the non-disabled partner in my relationship. My boyfriend has mobility issues and sometimes uses a wheelchair. Intimacy was awkward in the beginning and neither of us knew what we were doing since we were each other's first everything. However, after being together for a year and a half, we know each other's bodies well and he takes care of all my needs. Sex is always fun for the both of us and he's just as adventurous as I am! I use to date a women I met in the Internet she did not tell me at first she had muscular dystrophy & was in a wheelchair or on a portable ventilator because she wanted me to get to know her for her & I did then right before she decided to meet me she had a caretaker call me & explain to me how she was & when she did I was surprised but I said I don't care I still want to meet her she had been married before & had 3 daughters I also had 3 daughters from a former relationship both of us had a daughter name Tabitha just one spelt with a A & one with A I so that was a little weird to at first so she came to meet me & I went home with her & her daughters well we were together for 10 years no not married but together for 10 years if course at first I slept on the couch & was a little afraid she actually did want me beside her but it took a little bit for me to open up in that way & I was also unsure in how to do things like that with her well get ready to laugh once we did it wasn't a problem cause she was a freak lol ha ha really in bed she was just so freaky & awesome I really had no clue lol u know people think cause someone has a disability dint have a mind or a brain or feelings & cant do those things & that is so far from the truth i mean even before me she was married & had 3 daughters in her 40s & course had muscular dystrophy when she was born in a chair since 12 we are not together no more but it was a mutual breakup we had a good 10 years together

Love you 2 so much. I was born with a very crippling arthritis and now I’m in a wheelchair. I’ve had 4 surgeries on my left hip and my right hip is inoperable. Can you address this issue for people like me who become disabled during their marriage. The partner may have a hard time trying to adjust to their mates new situation. I can no longer walk. My husband has to empty my bedside potty. He has to do EVERYTHING like cooking , washing, house cleaning, shopping ! Fortunately for me I have a great husband who relies on God for help. Thank you. And your baby girl is now in toddler stage where she wants to do her own thing. She’s so smart. I just want to hug and squeeze her .

I use to date a women I met in the Internet she did not tell me at first she had muscular dystrophy & was in a wheelchair or on a portable ventilator because she wanted me to get to know her for her & I did then right before she decided to meet me she had a caretaker call me & explain to me how she was & when she did I was surprised but I said I don't care I still want to meet her she had been married before & had 3 daughters I also had 3 daughters from a former relationship both of us had a daughter name Tabitha just one spelt with a A & one with A I so that was a little weird to at first so she came to meet me & I went home with her & her daughters well we were together for 10 years no not married but together for 10 years if course at first I slept on the couch & was a little afraid she actually did want me beside her but it took a little bit for me to open up in that way & I was also unsure in how to do things like that with her well get ready to laugh once we did it wasn't a problem cause she was a freak lol ha ha really in bed she was just so freaky & awesome I really had no clue lol u know people think cause someone has a disability dint have a mind or a brain or feelings & cant do those things & that is so far from the truth i mean even before me she was married & had 3 daughters in her 40s & course had muscular dystrophy when she was born in a chair since 12 we are not together no more but it was a mutual breakup we had a good 10 years together

This was wonderful, you know people can be curious about how disabled people do certain things. What I got from this is that your sex life is the same as any other couple, what works, works. What doesn’t means you have to correct it. Exactly like any other couple, nothing out of the ordinary. This was great.

Love you 2 so much. I was born with a very crippling arthritis and now I’m in a wheelchair. I’ve had 4 surgeries on my left hip and my right hip is inoperable. Can you address this issue for people like me who become disabled during their marriage. The partner may have a hard time trying to adjust to their mates new situation. I can no longer walk. My husband has to empty my bedside potty. He has to do EVERYTHING like cooking , washing, house cleaning, shopping ! Fortunately for me I have a great husband who relies on God for help. Thank you. And your baby girl is now in toddler stage where she wants to do her own thing. She’s so smart. I just want to hug and squeeze her .

People are looking to hear you say, I like when we use hand cuffs and feathers or blindfolds but if they really take insight into what you said about open communication, putting yourself in the other persons shoes , tackling certain tough or steamily tough topics from early especially for interabled couples so as to have realistic expections and understanding of what intimacy will look like, then they will see the usefulness in the discussion. Intimacy , sex etc. looks and feels different for all couples whether interabled or abled but the inherent principles will be the same , openness, keeping the mystery alive, good communication etc. 👌
