    Nicely Done! Great Lighting and Narrative! Mobile Camera angles and sizes of fasteners are extremely helpful in tight conditions and tool selection.. Great Job to you and camera crew.

    Everyone makes it seem like a massive huge crazy job but u made a 5 minute video n did it just fine. Everyone says I gotta pull my motor out and all this

    Well you made that look easy this is something I'm in the process of tackling. And seeing you not pull the motor put a smile on my face.
    I'm just hopful this is my issue. Been chasing a gremlin for 2 years.
    Just won't charge.

      @@bobbyrebussini1466 04 rev sdi 600.
      Won't charge. Can have the battery at 13v fire up the sled it drop to 11.5
      Ride for an hour and it beeps at me.
      So tried the relays. No change
      Checked grounds . Look good.
      Tested stator seems ok. Going to re check.
      Replaced regulator. No change.
      So it seems its come down to a stator just from others issues.

    Wow thanks man wish you had posted this a few years ago when I needed to change my first stator lmao. Going to do one a 07 800 today but all of it is the same for all the rev models

    Excellent job. Have a 06 500ss that I just welded my Y pipe in a video last week. Was always thinking the engine had to come out for a stator, but I could probably do that if I had to. Super helpful video.

    Very useful. Just did a 96 Yamaha Venture and it was as awkward with space and tools as yours.

    How did you get the bolt off without the crankshaft spinning on you? Did you lock it on the PTO side?

    Can you get to the crank bearing to service it with the stator off?

      Nope! You’re looking at just the side of the case if you take the stator off

    How did the puller fit in? Did you have to cut the tools main shaft shorter?

    Watched your vids. Excellent. Short and to the point. If you come across 550F sleds with intermittent spark issues, dash cluster lights fading away- would love to see diagnosing and fixes.

      @@RYANHODGE100 what I would do is monitor voltage at the battery while its running. you will probably see it drop out or be sporatic. you should see 13-14 they only run like 12.5 at idle. Go around and clean all the fuses, relays and connectors to be sure. Di electric grease is your best friend. Let me know what you get for voltage

      check bottom of housing if theres oil leaking at the bottom then it could be grounding out the stator. need new seals

    What are the symptoms of a bad stator on these sleds? Is it possible for them to run on a full battery and then run crappy as it starts to get drained? I have some weird stuff happening to my 2007 mxz 800 renegade.

      It’s possible. But doubt it. Sometimes the stator ends up cranky when it gets hot. Ohm it out hot but I’d be looking into crank seals otherwise

    Need some help please, I have a 98 skidoo mxz 500. I changed the ignition coil and the cdi box. Still not getting spark, is there a why to test the stator? Thats what I was thinking it might be but not sure. Thanks hope you guys could help.

      Yes. Test the stator and I’m pretty sure there’s a pickup coil should be a diagram with just resistance across all the yellows to ground

      Nope, hand held torch, made a homemade puller from a 2" steel pice. Hit it with a hammer but didn't want to come off till i used heat and a bigger hammer (on the steel pice).👌

    I just got a new stator and am gonna install. I have tail light and dash but no handwarmers or headlight. do you think the stator is my issues? already tried replacing voltage regulator and handwarmers

      as long as you checked all the grounds and relays. They can be tricky like that. Is it charging?

      @@bobbyrebussini1466 I tried 2 different oem relays, also replaced wiring harness to handlebars. It's a no battery model but they also do have a lil ground strap (not sure if its the same location as yours) but I did make sure that was tight too

    I have a 03 skidoo rev 800 no spark I thought It was MPEM got new one and still nothing no spark no lights no nothin I believe it’s going to be a stator if I am correct… and I’d need to do this and order a stator

      Ohm out the 6 big wires on the stator and ohm out the pickup coil. There’s diagrams all over google

      I have a 08 rev skidoo mxz and I cleaned the carbs and valves, new spark plugs. And whenever I ride it, I’ll stop and let it idle and it’ll idle high around 3500rpm

      @@elchapachapa798 is it an etec? Could be a lot of things. A lot of times it’s worn out carb slides or throttle free play. Does it “load up” after idling for a little?

      @@elchapachapa798 is that the only issue? Bc that’s normal just runs a little rich at idle and needs a blip of the throttle heat and there.

      @@bobbyrebussini1466 it’ll load up and then it I’ll bump the throttle and it won’t go down, and it would take a few or more to start and would have to use the throttle a bit to start it
