I removed the flywheel and filed/shimmed the notch to bring the ignition closer to top dead center. The centrifugal springs were changed so the clutch engaged at slow speed. Now it trolls, but will still sprint fast. The factory ignition is way advanced. The aluminum propeller can use a hand finish and go much faster. It has an aluminum bore but should still way outlive a 2 cycle. I use thick 20W50 oil and the thickest 85w140 for the bottom gears. A Swiffer broom handle extends the steering to the middle of the boat. I like your boat. It's a keeper
It's a TK144FC. 23 LBS. Metal prop. So smooth. Don't forget the gear oil 85W140. Oil the throttle cable. 20 W50 for hot weather or 10W40 for chilly. It's 750 Watts = 2 HP. Go Max ind Fort Lauderdale. List 299. He gave me a discount. I don't leave gas in motors. Sweet boat.
Thanks for the review, I’ve been considering buying one of these Chinese outboards. It didn’t seem too loud. How many hours have you put on it since this video? You should do a follow up video. Tight lines 👍
I just purchased that motor. I fulled crankcase with oil and lower gearbox with 90 lube. Ran it 10hrs at half or lower speed. Then changed oil and gear lube. Breakin is needed to seat the valves. Just sayin'...
Chinglish, eh? Centrifugal clutch that will wear out and have to be replaced regularly (probably each season). Have to cover the powerhead when not in use or air filter will get mouldy. Plastic, zinc alloy, or aluminum prop? Doesn't seem like it has much power or high end torque. Not a purchase possible to me.
I filed a hand finish on the aluminum propeller. The centrifugal clutch shouldn't need changing soon if you don't run it at sliding speeds. I put lighter springs on mine. Trolling. With the ignition set back, a popular change, it won't strain at trolling speed.
gave up early because i couldnt stand listening to the ...umm ... constantly....trry to have a clue as to what your talking about would be helpful and spare is the ...ummm
Wow dude. You suck. I'd like to thank this young man for all the info, Im gunna buy one of these little guys for my 12' sundolphin Jon boat for myself and the kids.

It's a saying kids use. Don't panic. This isn't a stolen valor situation. 😅
What was the speed?
About 6 to 8 mph sorry that took so long
@@mattyice0923 thank you
@@mattyice0923 that's plenty fast for 53 CC's. The prop would love a hand finish.
@@mattyice09236_8 mph was good. ! What kind of boat was that on. ?
