    As a Guardians fan I pray that they don’t go under slot and just take Bazzana. His work ethic and how he approaches the game he’s the perfect guy to take the reins from José in the coming years and keep the same culture José has created there.

      @@bradyerker this is a common non ball knowing take. The Guardians, and every other team, will spend 100% of their pool money. The only question is whether they want to spread it out between the first couple rounds or just burn a lot of it with the first pick. There is no “saving money” here. Every team spends all of their pool money.

    Can we get a video from Aram/Jack detailing how they keep up with minor/major leaguer performances and how they analyze them in regards to how good of a prospect certain players are? I've always wondered how these guys (and scouts) determine what makes a prospect good and how they can grade the 5 tools of any given prospect.

    You can't really compare the Chiefs spending and success to the Royals. The NFL has a much better revenue sharing system along with a hard salary cap and floor so every team has the same ability to spend. Hopefully, one day MLB will operate the same way. It would make the sport so much more fun to watch.

    • @samuelsandate9804
      @samuelsandate9804 2 месяца назад

      What? How is the Chiefs dynasty and what the Patriots did, parity in the NFL? The salary cap is a complete joke and the reason why dynasties happened. Baseball is way more competitive than the NFL, but blind people like you can't understand that.

    • @user-cl7cm8jy6w
      @user-cl7cm8jy6w 2 месяца назад

      Agreed. Teams like the Royals don't have a very long window to win championships and half to rely on short spurts of success followed by losing their best players because of their lack of money and half to rip the organization apart and start over.

Are you aware that during the lockout the players tried to sue the Orioles, Royals and other small market team owners because they refuse to spend the money they get in revenue sharing? The Mariners won't take a college outfielder unless they plan on moving them to first base or make a trade. In high A next year you most likely will have Aiden Smith, Jonny Farmelo and good chance Tai Peete moves to outfield with Colt Emerson and Michael Arroyo on the infield. They also want to have some room for Celesten to move up from low A. This pick wouldn't make sense unless they make a trade. We also don't know if Montes will start at AA or high A. Too much of a log jam. My guess we pick Brody Brecht or one of the high school pitchers.

    • @JustBaseballFans
      @JustBaseballFans  2 месяца назад +2

      They're likely going to make trades to add to this group and teams mostly draft on best player available rather than looking the org depth chart. Hit rate is too low in baseball to approach it that way.

    • @bricehileman8122
      @bricehileman8122 2 месяца назад

      I agree with your analysis. However I hope they don't trade any of the prospects I mentioned. Best way to build this offense maybe the Baltimore Orioles approach. I'm beginning to think adding a bat or two won't be enough to prevent a complete 2nd half collapse the way the current offense is under performing. It may take years to re build this offense unfortunately.

  • @DanielDowling

    Great video as always. Here is why I personally don't think STL will go with a HS prep pick. John Mozeliak in an interview a few months ago was asked about the draft pick and he basically said "We never draft this high so we can't miss" and then said the director of scouting has had some good but also not so good drafts. So I think they will go with a more proven college bat (or arm) bc they can't afford for a HS prep pick to not contribute

      @@brandondillman5841Are you really that clueless? The team owners don't give a crap about parity and none of that. The whole point of the salary cap is to limit players contracts, which helps the owners deep pockets. All these owners care about is money, 💰💰, and making themselves more rich. There's no such thing as parity under the salary cap when you just witness a Patriots dynasty and now the Chiefs team trying to do the same. You really need to educate yourself more. Sports around the world are about business and making money. Now with all these gambling apps and betting companies, there's a belief that games will start to get rigged for 💰💰. The Chiefs literally get helped from the refs all the time, especially now with Taylor Swift watching them. Come on dude use your head.

      @@samuelsandate9804 you must either be 5 years old or incredibly dull. The QB is the most important position in all of sports. If you have a generational QB, you win championships. Simple as that. There's no 1 player in baseball that can impact a teams chance to win as much as a QB does in football. Thinking being able to outspend everybody isn't a massive competitive advantage is a moronic stance to take.

      @@brandondillman5841 You just said the NFL wants to make sure every team has a same chance to compete. The salary cap doesn't make anything easier to compete. Exactly, if you don't have a QB, particularly the best one, you ain't winning. The problem here is most of the QBs want to get paid and aren't willing to take pay cuts to help build a better team around them. The fraud salary cap only benefits the team with the best QB or if your QB is willing to take less, which not everyone does. Again, tell me how the Patriots dynasty and the Chiefs is helping everyone compete?
