In this market I guess I understand but Willy Adames is not a 170 million player. This is a guy that is a .760 career ops hitter, never made an all star team, never won any awards. I’m sorry he’s a good player but even Dansby, Baez, and Story all had accolades and higher war seasons under their belt. What was the Brewers rotation in 2018 when they went to game 7 of the NLCS? What have the Brewers done in the playoffs since with Burnes, Woody, and Peralta. I'm not saying their rotation right now is ideal, but anything can happen in the playoffs, and they'll be competitive for the next five + years.

The Orioles will fix Rodgers. He's been injury prone, so let's see what happens. As an O's fan I'll miss Norby & Stowers, but Rodgers isn't old and has shown he has skills. It's up to the pitching lab to unlock it again.

I love the Flaherty deal on both sides for the Dodgers they get the pitcher they desperately need for this rotation this year. For the Tigers they look at the Dodgers and they see that they're deep at catcher they already have Cartaya and Rushing plus Will Smith so they're dealing from a position of depth where they don't feel it and so it's probably a slight overpay on the Dodgers part but if you're smart enough to go after a team where they already have depth of the position you want you can probably get a little more than he's worth which is what I think happened here

It made me so fucking mad when I watched the Loperfido interview after he was traded. The dude legitimately liked being in Houston, he said it felt like home as he was holding back tears. I am hoping this gets Dana Brown fired because this was a ridiculous trade to pull off. We would have been happier if we had done nothing at all at the deadline. I get that the Astros have immense outfield depth but if they dont resign Tucker then Loperfido would have been that guy

On Lesko, as a Padres fan I was and still am a big fan of his, but on the other hand we're 27 months out from the TJ, not 12. He's showing no signs of improved command when most are already back by 18 months, it's very concerning and he was a risky pick from day one. Sometimes we get attached to the idea of prospects instead of what they actually are, and it's really fricking hard for any pitcher to live up to first round status. Lesko has one thing on his side and that's he's still 20 so I'll be rooting for him. He just didn't fit the Padres timeline anymore. If he becomes a lights out ace with the Rays, then I'll totally lay the blame at the Padres doorstep, but people had similar outrage about Patino and Rays couldn't fix him.
