- C-3PO's basic shape was inspired by Maria, the robot in Metropolis. Sculptor Liz Moore gave C-3PO more specific characterizations under the direction of Production Designer John Barry.

they really should have kept that scene in the movie.
Yeah they should've
They should have kept 1:58 in the movie!
Nice to see we saw the cut scene where Padme finishes off c3p0s plating, while Anakins finding the Tuskan Raiders
This is the first time I've heard anybody call Anthony Daniels Tony.
Same
It's too bad Liz Moore never lived to see her creation in Star Wars. She died in a car accident in August of 1976.
buzz lightyear Super late on the reply game, but thank you for bringing this up. It’s nice to see someone talk about Liz Moore, and your comment should definitely get more attention that just some guy who really enjoyed the filmmaking process of the films.
I never knew C-3PO was made like that XD
You know even though episode II wasn't good. It was good to see Anthony Daniels as C3po again.
Jiggerman 22 It was good for me... I mean part III was better
@@macdonald715 I agree. Episode 2 was good but 3 was better
How does he see??
I think they're clear or they operate like one way mirrors
So the unfinished C-3PO is a puppet In Star Wars: The Phantom menace
"The suit was actually an Empire Strikes Back suit that we painted." And just like that he turned a collector's piece worth a couple million into one worth virtually nothing.
I mean, it's definitely still worth a lot, but I can't believe that in 2000 they thought it was alright to completely destroy the original paint job. They certainly could have had made a replica, as many fans would have already done at that point (and I'm sure many would have been more than happy to have their suits repainted so that they can be in the movie). It's pretty unforgivable.
if you ask me now it's worth more, used both in Empire Strikes Back and attack of the clones.
If someone asked you and you answered that, you'd be wrong.
how so
Quarax i think they were implying they had multiple empire strikes back suits
Such a shame these films sucked when you had such talents like Daniels bring C3P0 back.
The Prequels are great. You suck for not liking them.
It just wouldn't be a comment section without someone insulting someone else for their subjective opinion.
@@mkaursandhu6243 no its not
@@DamienDrake No... episode 2 is objectively bad. You and I can like it subjectively as much we want, but the story and dialogue have some issues...
At least they're better than the sequels... Can't believe we live in the timeline where the prequels were topped....Oi
