Btw the sound from your speakers is a ground loop issue. Especially if it is changing with RPM. Check the ground loop for your head unit, speakers, and amp. Your welcome!
@@ethan4.0 doubt it. I’m an electrical engineer job wise if they’re shielded it should be an issue. The mag flux from such low amperage and Voltage I wouldn’t think would have such a big effect. But I could be wrong I’ve just seen the same spikes occur in my job and it’s always been an improper ground or difference in ground potential.
@@roeldeleon8025 back in the day it was an issue because the voltage output of the HU was low like sub 1v versus modern electronics. That higher voltage (4v+) puts any noise way-way down compared to the signal passing thru. Even when you don’t cross the power at 90°. Literally ran power and an RCA in line with each other before and it wasn’t an issue with the increase in HU voltage. Typical RCA's back then were of the lamp cord variety - twisted pairs, balanced differential inputs, were new. I have not seen this be an issue RCA cable wise in a long long time. Just my $.02
My 2000 Silverado also has that noise! I think it’s alternator whine and it only comes from my 2 front speakers which go through a amp, when amp is off no more noise
Yank the doors, they SHOULDNT break here in minnesota our vehicles get way colder and frozen, ive yanked on handles of my cateye everytime and have yet to break one
Hey buddy for the high pitch sound coming from your speakers, you will need to run your rca connections to the opposite side of how you have it ran and it's picking up interference. Relatively a simple fix, I would keep the power wire in the door channel then run the rcas under the center console should be a good factory hole for going through the carpet.
Ive had 4 of these gmt800s with the 03-06 center console and they all do that weird noise as rpms go up. Try smacking the back of the center console. It will normally stop for a bit.
I’m pretty sure you need a noise blocker for your headunit then it shouldn’t make noise I’m not sure tho and make sure your rca wires aren’t near the power wire
Noise is because rca wire and power wire are suppose to be on opposite sides of the vehicle if there ran together or close to each other it’ll sound like a turbo whine through your speakers 😂
Hey you live down by Childersburg, right? 9° here in Moody right now. Had 15 mph wind to go with it earlier. It’s been fn brutal all over the south lately. I heard TN and Arkansas are especially bad.
I have 35in grapps on my leveled cateye and I can only get one full turn before I hit a bolt on my passenger side frame. I know all those trucks are the same so how do you get full turning radius??
Hey LMFS just wanting to get your opinion because you have had older gen - newer gen, but I am currently saving up to get a new (new to me) truck, and was wondering if I should stay with the 99-06 gen (I have on 06 Sierra extended cab) or if I should just save up and get a 14-18 gen . I personally don’t have a preference guess just wanting to know reliability wise. I’d keep the 06 Sierra I have now but I am needing a full size truck. Thanks! Let me know!
Side note - Tennessee got about 2-5 inches in my town. Missed it because I am in Hawaii right now but had to sneak in some of your vids while on vacation 🤙🏼😎
I just got rid of my 15 high country after I had a lifter issue. I bought an 05 extended cab, the 99-06 in my opinion are WAYY better, especially for the money.
I love chomper and I got 8 inches of snow in Arkansas! It was also -20F with wind chill!🥶
We had -43 up here in Montana

Or could be rca near power wire

@@ethan4.0 not to mention most if any RF picked up should be out of the audible range
it’s your rca there too close to your power cable

Could also be the factory amp you have to put a ground to it had same problem in my 05 crew cab
I’m in upstate ny we got about 10 inches lol come up and play in it brotha
Chomped definitely needs a cowl hood!
The noise is probably the remote wire. Especially if it’s ran near the power wire
That was a solid 8.5 for me definitely got some scratches from that lol
In Saskatchewan it was -50 Celsius for a week straight the pain sometimes never ends
Yeah that sounds miserable lol
Come to Huntsville, you can have our snow and ice lol

In Wisconsin we got 13 inches of snow. And getting more
that noise you here is either your speakers that arnt factory coming from your head unit or your factory amp if you have one
_All the bread & milk is gone in my local Krogers yesterday as if it's -11 degrees with 2 feet of snow lmao... Georgia people._
w putting daequan i didn’t expect that from you
You gotta take your radio out of Demo mode. I’ve been riding around with mine on until I noticed it in the settings!

I’m just a country kid out here in Alabama
Love the vids keep up the good work
That truck is a beast
CHOMPER!!🔥🔥
My 05 Silverado did the same thing it something with the aftermarket head units

wrap wire around rca and go to the other rca at the amp
I have 35in grapps on my leveled cateye and I can only get one full turn before I hit a bolt on my passenger side frame. I know all those trucks are the same so how do you get full turning radius??
Keep up the good work 👍.
Bad ground making speakers make the noise can I ask where that place u rode on this video
Put the thornbirds on chomper😁
Yeah, but what you doing with that red ford in the field?
Would you try denims setup on chompper
I tapped a curb in my f150 like a year ago and just now noticing my back wheel is slightly slanted in 😂
My first truck was a 2wd, i'll never go back.

Does it have back seat radio because my Gm had to tap the back radio and it would stop
Did you make it on the news?
Hey Jw… any update about baby squat??? Thanks bud.
Alabama is freezing
Interference from the alternator?
Wd-40 or any lube if you spray it in the key will open the lock up!
I unplugged the rear headphone jack it my truck to stop the rear speaker squeal. Hope this helps
Thats a good way to explode your glass
