I have a state trooper who lives in the addition behind me.He pulled me over for running a non baffled header on my Kawasaki H2 sx se +,gave me a ticket for running a non baffled muffler.This officer owns a Harley with straight pipes no baffles and screams by my house almost every day.I would here him coming through the addition,so I started video taping him going buy accelerating from 2 blocks away going buy my house then filming him until he was out of sight.Court day came around,I pleaded guilty but wanted to show the judge all the videos I had of this officer riding his straight piped Harley by my house as too how loud it was compared to my motorcycle.I had over 30 videos of this officer doing this not to mention he was obviously speeding seeing as the speed limit is only 30mph and he was acceding that no problem.The judge sided in my favor as that the officers Harley was a lot louder than my bike.I road my bike to court just to prove that I had put the baffle back in.The judge gave the officer thirty days to show that he had put mufflers on his bike and threatened to take his motorcycle endorsement for the repeatedly speeding he was doing in the videos.This officer gives me the finger every time he sees me now which I have also recorded.I talked to his supervisor about it, but he still does it.He has also pulled me over 6 times in 3 weeks in my truck for not wearing my seatbelt which I am medically exempt and goes through the DMV so when my plates are run they get notified of the exemption.But he still comes up and asked me for license,registration and proof of insurance.I have an appointment with his post commander and talked to a civil rights attorney.Can’t wait to see how this goes.
I had dual Cherry bonbs on a 79 F150 and loved them ! Loud enough outside but quiet in the cab. I like the way your truck sounds,loud but not too loud. Great video , keep them coming.

Had a Reg Cab Short bed 85 GMC back in the day. Built 383 stroker, American racing headers from a corvette, Cherry Bombs - Then side dump in front of the rear 38’s. At the time, I think that the exhaust and tires were worth more than the truck. Awesome! Your videos bring me back to my younger days!
I have the carven tr’s on my cammed 5.3 with true duals and I love it. Takes away obnoxious noise but still keeps it loud with a nice tone especially at higher throttle
I still own my 02 Silverado I bought new,it now has 119,000 miles,,the interior is like brand new still, I’ve never parked next to anyone ,,EVER ,,it’s black, the body lines are perfect,, I put a Valont cold air intake, and flowmasters on it before it had 100 miles,, two weeks ago I finally bought a 2023 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss cause it’s the best looking Colorado ever! I live in Arizona, their zero rust on my Silverado ,the stickers are still on frame,,,and still has original alternator, belts and hoses,,check engine light has never come on!
Flow master super 10's have an aggressive straight pipe sound to them, i did a muffler delete on a didge 4.7, it sounded good, wasnt to loud, never got pulled over for no muffler, i am not really into extemly loud trucks anymore, i was when i was younger, glass oacks do sound good on chevy 5.7's and 5.3's had a flow master super 40 on my s-15 gmc jimmy 4x4, sounded like a v8, but it was just an old 2.8, the block was from a 2001 v6 chevy camero, miss that okd truck, it was a beast
Try a cutout you can open it with a remote and it’ll come straight out the cutout from the headers and you can close it when you want your normal exhaust system
I have a 04 Avalanche with the 12 inch CB’s, a 73 Monte Carlo with 23 inch CB’s and a 86 Cutlass with 26 inch CB’s and love them. The shorter the Cherry Bomb the louder it is and as the glasspacking burns out it will get a little louder and get a deeper throaty sound. Loo ok be them. Yours sounds awesome and you have a nice looking truck!!!

Love this truck .. sound awesome either way I ended up putting the same cam in my 08 5.3 .. I have the speed engineering long tubes as well in to a X pipe then y pipe , cutout- stock muffler.. would be awesome to hear yours with a black widow venom race 250 series!
I have a flow master super 10 on my Chevy 350 and it gives it a deep tone and sounds like it had a aftermarket cam just from that, I would love to hear how it sounds on chomper with a aftermarket cam

I had the same 23 in 2/25 cherry bombs on my crown vic police interceptor and they sounded awesome once they warm up the sound gets 100% even better after like 2 days they broke in a little and had nice crispy sound without the drone
I have a 2009 2500hd with 6.0l with 3" xpipe, flowmaster super 10s with dumps before the axles, it sounds mean and loud with no clap. On your truck it would sound like a freaking nascar!
Ive got a '12 f150 with the cyclone v6 solely on propane (120 octane) with two inline cherry bombs (one standard one M80), surprisingly sounds really good.
ngl, the glass packs makes it have that nascar type sound, while being straight piped, makes it sounds like a clapped out obs chevy with the cats cut off, which im a fan of in some applications, but most of the time im not a fan of. would like to see what a magnaflow muffler would sound like
Idk if you’re taking other muffler suggestions but my buddy had a cateye with a cam and ran catless duals to an x pipe then to 2 black widow race venoms and she sounded amazing
Cherry bomb are good for toning it down. Five always like flowtech. There is so many different styles of glass pack. And a bunch break it and sound good and loud. I also like the thrush welded chamber muffler. Loud and cracking

I mean you can always have an E cut out installed and have it be loud and choppy on demand and quieter when the popo is around. Them cherries sound really good though.
That sucks. My last experience with state trooper was in West Virginia. He clocked me going 135 in a 55... he marked out 135 with 2 lines (you could still see it) and wrote 69 in a 55. Then he had me rev up my 5.0 mustang several times and proceeded to ask me what exhaust I had. I told him 3" exhaust, no cats, xpipe, into no mufflers with 3" tips. He said it sounds nasty... I said thanks, he stood by interstate for about 45 minutes talking about cars with me then he told me have a nice day and get on it a little when I pulled out.

Black Widow makes great sounding mufflers and high quality. They sound great on cammed applications

I prefer it with the glasspacks. Shear volume sacrificed for a more pleasant tone is a very worthy tradeoff in my book.

Maybe a cutout exhaust could help, just switch it to the muffler when there is a cop around
