Jess, I have the dotted pieces all cut out, but the black I have a question on. The printed piece had the right side out, the black piece is shinny side out, matte side in…which is the “right/pretty” side, or is it just personal preference for the solid color fabrics? Thanks!

Hi, I printed my pattern at 100% cut my pattern pieces out but I’m still just a little short on the actual measuring sizes of them 🤦♀️ is this ok, also I’m using directional fabric so on A3 where I need 5 pieces do I cut them all the same direction? Any help greatfully appreciated 👍 yours turned out amazing 👍
I made the bag, and although it doesn't look nearly as good as yours does, I am proud of myself. I am so new at bag making. Gabi thought this would be a good first challenge bag for me. She was right about that, but it was definitely a challenge due to the fact of using materials I've never sewn before. I was fun. I had the most difficulty time sewing on the binding! I ended up using the method I use for quilt binding. It looks pretty good. At least my bag is a strong one.

1). Bravo on your music selection. I could listen to that relaxing music all day. 2). Wooo Hoooo! My bag is finished!!! It would’ve been done hours earlier, but my loved ones kept “NEEDING” me. 😂🤣😂 🥰 3). This was perfect timing since Whimsy and I head out on a little adventure tomorrow and I’m sure we’ll need a bag to bring home extra goodies!
I made this and use it for my bag to take to exercise. Big enough to use for short trips ect. So fun to make. I did use waterproof canvas. It was more difficult but it was what i had. But what a great job instructing, Jess

I always love bags that pack down! I never leave the county without one and rarely leave home without one hanging out in the car for easy access. As far as getting it to pack down with the corners more cornery, fold the left and right "wings" and then fold the top down as you flip &stuff.
Where do you order all your fabric? I don’t know those cute fabric aren’t in Joanns. I appreciate it if you have any advice where to buy fabrics like for kids.

If you don’t want to use it as a luggage slip and want it to be another slip pocket would it work to sew the bottom down and still be able to flip it into itself?!?! Hope that made sense.

Well, as long as it’s not too thick, you might be able to get away with it. Definitely would need binding, since canvas frays. I would like to give this a try though!
I am having problems cutting the pattern pieces to 100%. I've made the adjustments in my computer and printer and they still don't print the correct size. Can anyone provide any additional tips please?
I cheated and bought a cricut. Even though the pattern was printing to size in adobe im terrible at cutting/tracing. I missed it in kindergarten I guess. So my top tip is get a cricut! 😂

Why do you use a different bobbin thread from your top thread?
The top thread is too thick for my bobbin, it will quickly unravel and jam. But it looks very nice for top stitching.

Are you using Adobe to print?
