    So nice! I really like the soft hatching you use for dimension. I think your portraits retain the character of the subjects.

    I would measure distances between eye to ear etc...for proportions...wow..you did without any measurement...well done

      Haha yeah these are just sketches, I'm not too worried about likeness or proportions - although I do want it to look natural and human. But most of the time I get lucky and can just eye it up but sometimes I mess up and erase a lot haha.

    That's the Loomis method? I do my portraits copying b&w pictures from my phone. I try to just draw what I see but my perspective is really off

      Yes pretty much. I understand, I'm still not the best too and struggle sometimes. Keep going and learning :)

    Even watching you draw this, I have no idea how you did it. I see that woman's face and I don't know where to start. I know you start with the circle and guide lines but I have no clue where to place them to even get started.
