- I needed a new watch for work. I saw this one on Amazon and bought it as a bit of joke. Then I started reading the user's guide and delved in a little further. Even went fishing during the high level activity period. Guess what happened. Watch and find out.

As consumers, we're basically using upgraded 90s' tech, but with paywalls and datamining.
This is why digital/electromechanical stuff _from_ the 90s feels so refreshing and snappy to use. Their processors are slow and weak compared to today's (judging by paper specifications), but feels perfectly fine because it's not wasting processing power on _spying on you._

Casio is a great brand of watches. For many years it incorporates many useful applications for specific tasks. It takes no necessary to carry on an smartwatch with too much applications. And the price of this watches are so cheap too. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱

Thanks for the review. I've got an AQW-101 and i noticed that the program in these watches corresponds to the Department of Natural Resources website fishing times major and minor. I've never worn the watch but have pulled it out of my collection and will be using it on my next outing. I think this information will give you the edge on knowing the best feeding times as a reference. Again thanks!

I had a Pathfinder fish timer that vibrated for fish alerts for $30. My favorite watch. I used it to alert me when crazy people were outside. I wear a moon and tide Frogman now. Happy fishing! You are OK.

I have found the solunar tables to be consistent with fishing activity. I just bought this watch and am looking forward to some of my own observations.

Well, of course anytime is the best time for fishing. For the most part it is pretty consistent with fish activity. I have seen the activity fall off consistent with the screen, but of course you can’t rely entirely on the watch. I like the watch. It keeps good time and it reminds me about my favorite activity.
Very true. Lately the watch has not been consistent with the activity. So far is has been a lousy year for fishing in my neighborhood.
Casio is the best when it comes to fishing. They nailed it didn't they.

Moon and tides. But there are no tides in a river or lake where I fish. So the moon phase would be more prevalent.

You could use for both, but it doesn't the tides.

No, unfortunately I have not been out too much. But the last time it seemed fairly accurate with the actual activity.
