my local walmart has these in black, green and dark blue for 19 bucks, I just picked one up today.
How did you set it up I have no instructions
mine is 33 bucks, I am rich
@@yunghanhuang8188 is it worth it
That's an interesting watch I never knew existed.
Also casio loves to put of text on watches because because jusr as we consider Japanese, Chinese and some other languages and scripts to be aesthetic, the Japanese consider English to be aesthetic, that's that's why so many Japanese companies have logos in plain text. Suzuki, yamaha, honda, seiko, Sony, Panasonic, you name it.
Interesting! That makes sense when you think about it. And yeah this watch was just released a few weeks ago. Thought I'd check it out.
@@WatchingCasio a new casio getting much deserved love. That's rare since everyone keeps hanging on to old ones. They're great without a doubt but some of the new ones are very good too. Do some edifice sometime.
@@badabingbadaboom9251 I've been trying to find a decent Edifice that won't look ridiculous on my 6.75 inch wrist. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
@@WatchingCasio I'm looking for the same man
@@WatchingCasio I'd agree. The decent edifice are ridiculous in size.
Those texts add to the 80's aesthetic in my opinion!
I loved it. The fishes on the upper screen.
One thing that i do not like about this watch is the LED light, & i really wish for Casio to make the very same watch with a blue-green electro lunimescence backlight, which i like, instead of the LED light, which i hate LED lights on digiwatches.
Please share this proposal all over the web, until it gets the attention of Casio.
Thank you very much.
Thank you! This video helps a lot
The Goo Gone mod was priceless. You have a new subscriber. I like the moon phase aspect. Think how rare a feature a moon dial is on an analog watch. It's definitely a no brainer at $20.
Thanks man!
Does Casio make a Wife Finder watch? Asking for a friend.
They do actually, but it only works in the kitchen LOL
LOL!
@@WatchingCasio but what if your wife doesn't know the first thing about running a kitchen?? 😏
The GPS one works well for finding ur wife
great comment lol need 1 for my friend too :-)
Nice watch. Despite having a very complete module and being on sale at a very good price, it lacks that vintage touch that Casio watches from the 80's have (For example, the FT-100W, which you mention). Greetings from Spain
This is the best channel about uncommon Casio watches! Love your content ❤️ Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much!!
the unit i got makes button tone sound when pressing search in time keeping mode, kinda strange other casio watches dont do that. at least there's button tone on/off option
I just got mine in the mail; it’s AWESOME!
Nice!
I don’t even fish but I love Casio/gadget watches!!!😍👍🏻😎 Another great review!👍🏻Cheers from Down Under🍻
Haha same here. Thanks mate!
Try it out its good
Me too hahahahahaha
I love it...another gadget for you and your friends.
the fishin time was the first before this watch it has the same feature it read the moon phases and the tides of the ocean and the amount of fish in the water I have one currently under restoration
Thanks going to strip all the white lettering on my G-squares !!! 😁👍🏼
subbed and like just cuz of the channel name. plus i love casio's so...
Great video!
I use to have a Zeon Moon graph back in 1992
That intro! Soooo amazing, good job once again
Thanks man!
@@WatchingCasio whats the name of the guitar music in the beginning?
awesome watch hope to get 1250 soon too
For the avid fishing enthusiast, this is amazing. Can't believe the price/valuje. Great video!
Thank you!
these watches are very popular with fish, so they know when its safe ;)
Ha never thought about it that way lol
what is the bar in the middle of the watch face for?
It'd be perfect if they add tide graph on this watch. Perfect fishing gear it is.
i have the blue version. looks bit purplish. cool watch! love the animated fishes
Right on! It's a fun watch.
How do I set it up I have no idea or no instructions lll
This and a a g shock will serve me well
How is it
I personally don't mind all that text. If Casio placed it there I have no business meddling with it.
The moon indicator is not correct on the watch, even when you set the coordinates. A different phase shows on the watch than is in the sky. I wonder if this effects the accuracy of the fish timer??
If I liked to fish this would be awesome. Is there one that lets me know when the perfect time to ask for extra credit or a promotion would be?
One question:
How does the fish thing work??
So is this watch geared towards salt water fishing or freshwater. You mentioned that it keeps track of the tides.
I bought the green version of this after seeing your video.
I love it!!
Good choice!
There cool watches
Is this for ocean fishing or can you use it with freshwater lake fishing
How reliable is the fish reading
can you provide the lug width at the springbar to see if different staps can be used (ie: nato etc.)?
It's 18mm. You can probably fit a nato in there but they are usually kind of tight with Casios, I've noticed.
Just got this watch as a gift. Thanks for the review! You helped me big time. One question. I seem to have to times. One with the daylight savings info and one with date and time. Any idea why?
Maybe you're looking at the dual time mode?
Is this meant for fresh or saltwater?
I already collect casios and I've been thinking about getting into fishing... at least its an inexpensive watch.
Fishing is life.
Just remember that different fish are best caught at different times of day, depending on season, water conditions, and what type of body of water you’re fishing out of.
This watch kind of makes me want to take up fishing.
Erase WR? Good job 👍.
You forgot to mention that it has a 10 years battery.
Great watch,nice intro 👍🤣
I knew I forgot something. Thanks for watching!
I don't fish, but this reminds me a lot of my Casio AW-82 which kinda looks like the little brother/predecessor of this, might consider getting it when the battery dies, had it working for me for maybe 12 years and is showing signs of it dying, all scratched and paint stripped, so this might be a good upgrade to my fishing watch haha
I've got the Casio AW-82. I bought the black one, gave it to my dad and 3 years later I bought it again, the silver one this time. I'm wearing it now and for me it's quite a special watch.
Trying to figure out what the narrow horizontal strip in the middle of the display is for. Is it the state of the tide perhaps (I.e. How high or low?) I get almost all of the rest of the features but cannot figure that one out
I believe that's the seconds counting up then down.
Got one yesterday for Xmas. Waching this video to learn how to use it because I have no idea how to 😂
Check out the manual in the description!
Will do thanks
What about this watch? Casio Men's Sports Gear Analog & Digital Chronograph Fishing Watch - AQW101-1A. Your thoughts? And why not do a bubble oil watch mod with it?
That watch is actually super cool. I've been meaning to check it out. Not a huge fan of the bezel style but the functionality is awesome. I've never done an oil mod before!
I wanted to see what this watch is about
Can't seem to get this to link up with my plenty of fish app. I keep dropping lines and no bites.
Whomp whomp :)
Great channel. I M also CASIO FAN
Welcome! 👍
Anyone know what the bar in the certain is for? I know that it counts down in a 10 minute cycle, but for what benefit?
That's it. Just a visual counter haha.
I just got this watch and like it a lot but can't find any explanation about the function of the LCD bar across the center that ends on the moon indicator. You mention something about tides, I think. Can you say more about this?
That's just a simple minute indicator. Every minute one bar will show up. I think it's a ten minute indicator.
@@WatchingCasio Thanks. After studying it a bit more I thought that might be the case. Sort of a useless feature in an otherwise pretty great watch. I still like it.
Is this watch worth buyin
What is the pourpose of the bar in the middle? The one that fills every minute
Just to track the minutes LOL
@@WatchingCasio 🤦🏻♂️
What’s the purpose of the bar to the left of the moon phase?
Which bar do you mean?
Is rubbing alcohol safe in the surface material instead of googone?
Not sure actually
seriously tho why do they always have that wr text and 10 year battery life on the watch
So its not a high tide/ low tide watch. Good review!
Nice job removing the extra lettering on the bezel .You can even make it even better looking with this suggestion : paint black the 4 ugly silver screws on the front .Black nail polish works great (done it on a few watches already.Go easy on the polish and no need to remove the screws.Better if you do a 2nd coat the next day ) Keep the good work !
Awesome tip! I'll have to give that a try. Did you use matte or glossy?
@@WatchingCasio used glossy but matte should work fine too.Black nail polish is sold at dollar stores for $2- $3 & a little more at walmart and a single bottle will be enough for dozens of watches !
Great advice.
im a fisher man....i need one of these. gonna see who wants to get me this for Christmas.
They are on sale right now @ Macy's.com only $17.50
Oh, I recognize that F-12 on the top-right corner :)
Haha there it is!
I like it, because of the fishes on the upper dial.
One thing that i do not like is the LED light.
I wish for Casio to make this with a blue-green electro luminescense backlight which i like, instead of the LED light, which i hate.
I agree.
Is this for fishing on sea or lake or river or for all 3?
Not really sure - I assume pretty much any body of water that is affected by the moon.
i don’t even do fishing but i want it
I just bought one but I don’t know how to set it up
The manual is linked in the description. Not too hard but definitely give it a look.
What if my longitude is negative then what do I do?
It can do negative numbers.
Is that a TS-1000 on the left?
It's the TS-1200. Review coming soon hopefully!
@@WatchingCasio Waiting for it! Good job my friend.Greetings from Greece!
pleaaaaase tell me the sweet music at the beginning ! :)
Ah jeez, I don't know, I'll have to check!
@@WatchingCasio that woud be so nice! Sounds god for Meditation !
I still don’t get how to program this
Did you check the manual linked in the description?
Why are there more fish with a full moon? I kind of get it but would love if somebody explained how the tides tie into the fishing aspect
One reason: food. Check this out: www.homeruncharters.com/how-do-tides-affect-fishing/
You can be a great Casio marketing guy.
PS: Is that a TS-1000 in the background?
It is! Really good condition too. Hope to do a video on it soon.
@@WatchingCasio looking forward to it mate. Hope that video is next.
Considering this or the 1250H. Are they virtually the same watch?
Essentially the same watch except the 1250H has analog hands, too. Pretty cool.
Watching Casio I happened to see both of these at Wal Mart. Great value for a “beater” watch. I wanted to get my Dad a new watch that he can wear doing yardwork, etc. I opted for the 1200 due to the easier to read digital display. I got it in green and the 1200 green is a bit darker than the 1250 green. The 1250 green actually looked more brown. Nice review. Thanks!
@@stevedoyel Yeah the 1250 looks almost a little bit too busy with the analog hands, though I usually like an analog/digital combo. It's a great watch for the price!
Watching Casio I ended up buying the 1250 in black for myself. I love it. I also got the 1200 in green for my Dad as a Father’s Day gift. Both outstanding value.
Hello. Is it possible to turn on time exmp 15:43, and is it posibble to display time and moon phase and fish on same time? Thank you
Yes, there is military time. You can't do moon phase with time and fish. It is on its own mode setting.
My only gripe with digital watches from Casio is that they look big (no problem) but the digits are small to read. Some models have larger numbers but not in the G Shock, Tough Solar, or those Fish Gear models.
I thought you would point at the water and the sensor will tell if there is fish.
So this probably can be achieved np by an app.
I would live to go back to Casio one day if they have some model with GPS for bikers, Heart rate, and also Tough Solar
Hello!! What is the middle bar next to the moon phase for??
i´d buy it just for the cool factor, and i have no idea on how to fish!!
Ha, same 🙂
Dear friends which country market available now. That watch shop address give me.
Not sure but you can find it in many places online.

That’s a pretty cool watch, just a bit disappointed, that you can’t set an alarm automatically by a single press of a button when you found the appropriate time.
Yeah I agree.
Great mod. "Fishing Gear" is a bit odd. Like writing truck on your vehicle.
Ha my thoughts exactly.
Well no one (most people anyway) expects a watch to have anything to do with fishing, so having FISH there would be interesting for most folks, making your watch a conversation piece.
What I find odd is how some cheap watches have 'Smart watch' or something similar written on them. That's more along the lines of having Truck written on a truck.
I press A, then I press it again and then… nothing happens
IS IT TRUE THAT THE BATTERY LASTS 10 YEARS???
And the moon phases????
What do you mean?
@@WatchingCasio Ohh, I just wanted to see the moon phase setting but you skipped past that feature from what I could tell.
สวยรอราคาในประเทศไทย
I believe the other colors are blue and green. Maybe I'm the one that's color blind.
Ha you might be right :)
I think i will buy this for my friend whos crazy about fishing?
Sounds like a nice gift! Not too expensive either.
@@WatchingCasio Truee the only gripe is that theres no tide graph on this.
Yep, but the fishing times correlate with the tides. I see what you mean though.
ฟังไม่ออก 😢😢😢😢😢
Don't use goo gone guys. I know it sounds dumb but before you use goo gone use an eraser. Works faster, better and doesn't leave any marks like goo gone does....and everyone has an eraser....
Watch in 1.5x speed 😉
FT-100 in 1989? Amazing...
funny guy this one..
Man this watch is so confusing. I looked up my coordinates for my town and only get West and North. The Watch wants you to put in West and East so what do you do? Really confusing. I noticed you only speak about the West Longitude and you speak about the UTC differential but nothing about the East? I looked in the back of the manual and I don't see anything about a -4.0 UTC in the United States but I see a -5 which would be what I'm under and the eastern part of the United states according to my manual. I am really confused with this watch.
So UTC differential should be -5 for US Northeast. I'm near Boston so it's -5 during daylight savings. You also need longitude which is either West or East. Not both. In Boston, it's 71 degrees West. I think when setting the watch you press D to switch between East or West. You only need UTC and longitude (either E or W). Hope that helps!
Yes it helped out so much and Thank You. I used to have one of the older Casio Fishing Watches and it let me put in North and West so this one had me confused a bit. Thanks again and great video.
Wait, the lake? - there is no tidal action on a lake...
Good catch hahahah 😅😅😂😂
All 10 year old fishermen use this :D
