That was fun. Mad should do an annual Halloween theme special like this. Every October 31 have a watch to survive another zombie apocalypse, an alien abduction, a Bigfoot encounter in the forest, an escape from Dracula’s castle in the mountains, an Egyptian mummy excavation in the desert, etc.

I just got the upgraded version of the watch with the model# GW-M5610U-1, it comes with 3 seconds LED lights (which some people consider the LED as a downgrade i find it’s awesome and more durable for zombie apocalypse), in addition now with this upgrade you can still have the time on the top right corner while in other modes such as the stopwatch or the timer, and lastly they improved the side buttons. The Perfect watch just became more perfect (I’m not sure if that’s a correct sentence cause I’m arabic casio lover)

Just got mine and you can change the lume from 1.5sec to 3sec, which I find is perfect. Love my one, and got it with the blue band around the face instead of red.
Sorry for my English I really enjoyed the episode I am a square g collector and I was thinking this watch is the most practical square g of all time but after buying the b 5600 I found it more practical than 5610 for two reason 1. When put the 5610 on stop watch or count down timer mode you can't appear the time at all while on the other square g the time will appear on date window. 2.the bracelet in the b 5600 is more comfortable than the normal squre g resin band. Thank one's again for episode and keep going brother
I have to agree with this one and it is really light. If your willing to spend a little bit more and don’t want to go all metal but maybe want the module itself to be metallic another good one would be a Black Watch GMWB5000G-1. Awesome video as always!! Keep it up!!
with your g shock... - Have a bag packed with provisions, medicines, etc. (anything you need) at the ready. - Movement is life, always have clear escape routes mapped out in case of emergencies - If you can source a generator, great. - Have short, easy-to-carry stabbing and/or bludgeoning weapons. When it happens (if you have to stay): - Lock all doors - Close all windows and draw curtains - Avoid at ALL costs hospitals, police stations, churches, airports, etc. - Run a bath as water supplies will go off quickly - Write an inventory of supplies - Once you can / need to move on ideally get out of highly populated areas, aim for the country, islands, etc.
I have this watch, and I like it a lot. The only real negative I have is that the atomic time signal is unreliable for me. I live in New Jersey in the US, and the only signal comes from Colorado. That makes getting a signal very hit or miss.
Haha. Wearing mine right now. My Jays and Kays lug adapters came through the post this morning. Fitted it with a Bond elastic strap. I must admit it doesn’t look better than the OG strap but it’s definitely more comfortable.
Hey man, love your videos. Can you make a video on how to care for our Casio Watches? As in how often should we be changing the batteries, servicing them, etc. The 10 year battery ones are fine, but what about the normal ones like F 91W.
Another really great video. It's been decades since I first noticed that you Brits pronounce z "zed" instead of "zee" the way we bloomin Yanks do. The Clash were very helpful with this, with Joe saying "Jay-ay-zed-zed" on their song "Johnny Jazz." And it's been years since I noticed that you insert an extra syllable into "aluminum." But only very recently did I notice that you blokes pronounce h "haitch" instead of "aitch." WHERE DOES IT END?!!

But I do NOT like it when British intellectuals on "In Our Time" and elsewhere say "sort of" or "kind of" every 3rd sentence for no good reason! No, I don't care for THAT at ALL! Most solar watches have a solar cell the solar keeps the battery charged but after a while the battery will die can last up to 12 years though. I would check the manual see what it says
I always thought G-shocks are a joke. They reminde me to the watch I wanted when I was a small kid; it could store small gums inside.. Now I want one sooo bad! I don’t get myself nowadays 🤷♂️

O.K. Russ, my preferred Zombie beater would be the Seiko SRPE67K1, because it comes with all the features you and I ´ll need + it provides much more wham for the buck than your plastic casio does.

Im a Casio lover aswell and its great to find someone whos on the same page hahaha Do you know if the multi band feature works all over the world? I've had my G- Shock Tough Solar GW - M5600 for about 10 years now and it's still the best of my collection lovely and lightweight and completely reliable. I just bought a Steeldive Captain Willard 1970 and ruddy hell what a culture shock going from the G-Shock to the Steeldive, it weighs a ton, like waking around with a lead weight on your arm (still love it though)👍

Hi Russ, nice video! What the bullbars will definitely do is shield the solar power cells from the sun light. 😢 If you really want to use your watch to smash in some zombie heads, better take the U50. It's solid as a rock, doesn't need a battery AT ALL and because of german over-engineering it will probably last longer than anyone of us in a zombie apocalypse, telling the time even when there's no one left to read it.
All due respect to sinn. A brand I greatly admire,but there is simply NO universe in which the u50 is even remotely as tough as the 5610....it's not even in the same ball park,sorry but no.

Yeah you grammar is correct and I just got mine. I love that you can show the date as dd/mm/yy as most countries use this.
I SCUBA dived more than 100 times to depths up to 40 meters with a G Shock 5610. I want this watch because of the solar power and Multi Band 6.

Have you done a Casio GD 350 Review such a overlooked watch I think it could better then it's replacement the GD 400 which does Not have the vibe alarm mode

Hi Russ, nice video! What the bullbars will definitely do is shield the solar power cells from the sun light. 😢 If you really want to use your watch to smash in some zombie heads, better take the U50. It's solid as a rock, doesn't need a battery AT ALL and because of german over-engineering it will probably last longer than anyone of us in a zombie apocalypse, telling the time even when there's no one left to read it.

All due respect to sinn. A brand I greatly admire,but there is simply NO universe in which the u50 is even remotely as tough as the 5610....it's not even in the same ball park,sorry but no.
