  • Justin Eiseman, service manager at Glenwood Springs Subaru in Colorado, shares his hiring philosophy: "We're always looking for the right person. We can always teach someone the technical skills, but they've got to bring the drive, the enthusiasm and the desire to learn." Other Glenwood Springs techs talk about what they enjoy about the job and the challenges of staying current in a constantly changing industry.

This dude drank the kool-aid, I was a Subaru technician for 15 years. You are nothing but a cog in the machine. Work increases are pay decreases. I walked away and best decision I have ever made.

What did you do after quitting? I’m trying to become a tech without having to go to technical school

depends where you're at. Some dealerships operate differently. the USA has a lot of Subaru dealerships... Someone with 15 years under their belt, I'm sure any Subaru would take you.

Look at all the problems and recalls Subaru is having. Worst car record of all the manufacturers. Quality has gone down the drain. Never buy a Subaru again.
