Nice list... can you do top 10 players?
Already made...ruclips.net/video/sQvdbpxmZW4/видео.html
Thanks for the sub!
Everybody knows Drew Brees would be number 1
1. Drew Brees
2. Ricky Jackson
3. Willy Roaf
4. Pat Swilling
5. Deuce Mccallister
6. Marques Colston
7. Morten Anderson
8. La Roi Glover
9. Jonathan Vilma
10. Sam Mills
@@inevitableexpertise1016 how can you not have Archie Manning or Joe Horn? And I'd definitely have Will Smith over La'Roi Glover as well. That's just my opinion. Glover wouldn't even be in my top 15. If you are basing him on NFL career stats alone then maybe.
Other than those 2 or 3 I'd agree with your list
Sorry, but Tracy Porter's pick six of Manning in the Superbowl was by far the greatest play in the Saints history. Without a doubt!!!
Mickey Loomis disagrees with you immensely. Lol
#Tracy Pick Six should have been #1
shaolin1200 I’ll give you 2 or 3 but our first Super Bowl that’s number 1
Agreed it’s too low
Definitely!!!
I feel like Porter's pick-6 should ALWAYS be number 1
Absolutely!!! That play solidified our First Title!
I love Porters pick dont get me wrong. But after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Superdome and the Saints and all us fans were homeless. That game vs Atlanta our bitter rival was soooooo needed and that crowd has never been as loud as when that play happened. So many emotions in that game!
Dave M I agree. That game was an emotional game and had one of the greatest plays in Saints history in that game, but Porter’s pick 6 in the super bowl was the play that brought the Lombardi trophy to New Orleans
Gavin Mosley Productions While good, Hartley got them there in the first place. Who Dat!
If Porter's pick isn't number 1, then the rest of the list is absolutely meaningless!!!
1.Tracy Porter SB Pick 6
2. Steve Gleason Punt Block
3.Garret Hartley Field Goal
The correct answer
Wrong if steve Gleason blocked punt is always number one
Switch #2 & also #3, then u good!! 👍🏽👌🏽🙌🏽⚜️🎩⚠️🖤💛
I’m sorry but how do you put the cooks play and the river city miracle ahead of porters int and Hartley’s FG. Saints lost both those games. I can agree with Gleason being number 1. But you have 2 plays, one that got them to the Super Bowl and another that clinched the Super Bowl ranked below 2 moments in regular season games that the Saints lost. Also, where is “Hakim dropped the ball”??!!?? That should be on this list for sure
I agree 100%! How does 'Hakim dropped the ball!' not make the list?
Honorable mention to Kyle Turley ripping the Jets player's helmet off.
Jason Stewart hell yea!
So a team doesn't have a winning season for over twenty years ..finally gets to the Superbowl and ices it away with a Pick 6 and Tracy Porter's play is not number 1?? How long were you a Saints fan 5 seasons? THAT PICK 6 LEAD TO A CELEBRATION ENEMA that even today when I think of it it gives me goose bumps....F#ckin' Yeah WHO DAT!!!
s0undchaser1 the blocked punt by Gleason happened the first game back in the dome since Katrina. The saints almost left the city prior to that season. Porters pick should have been number 2 but nothing tops that blocked punt and never will because of the symbolism that it has for the city and the state of Louisiana after Katrina. That play made a statement that the saints were back along with New Orleans, which was the catalyst for all the success the saints have had over the years.
bpt249 I agree I’ll never forget that blocked punt. That was by far the best play in saints history. It meant a lot
Who would've thought a top 10 saints play would include a Brees INT. Thank you Meachem!
It also had a game we lost on a John Carney missed extra point 😂
I drove from Atlanta to Church Point to watch the game with my dad. He was in the restroom when Porter picked the pass. I yelled interception pick 6. I never seen him come out of the restroom so fast.
Thank You Saints!
RIP DAD!
This list needs "Hakim drops the ball!". Also, Tracy Porter pick 6 at #6? C'mon man!
No, it's a memorable moment bit not a top play. It was just bad luck on Hakim and the Rams.
#6 is too low.
#4 should have been Porter intercepting Favre
Otherwise great list.
Good list but Porter INT in the SB will always be #1 in my book.
Tracy Porter should be the #2 best Saints of all time. Without him we woudl have no SB win. Without him we never get to the SB. Drew is #1, but gotta make a case for Tracy for #2.
I thought Porter should have been SB MVP that year.
You might be right
Pahahah you are kidding! right
I thought everyone was in agreement that Porter's INT in SB44 was hands down the #1 greatest play in Saints history?
And some of the plays that are ahead in this list...Cooks? I mean yeah it's a great play but it has no importance at all really. We ended up losing that game. And the river city miracle too, although I do think it should be on the list, it definitely shouldn't be at #3. Really weird list tbh
Oznerol did you just say we lost the super bowl🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Maybe the greatest play, but Gleason's is the most important to Louisiana as a whole.
Only thing for mine is cooks 98 yard doesn't deserve to be there. No significance and no freakishness like the others.
and we lost that game.
I believe it was the longest pass in Saints history, but I agree since we lost the game it shouldn't have made the list.
All great plays in Saints history. But the Tracy Porter pick, should have been #1.
that Steve Gleason punt block ❤️
Week 3, 2006 was the only professional football game I ever attended. And when Gliesen blocked that pint, during the 10 minute celebration, it dawned on me that from this moment forward the Saints franchise FINALLY turned the corner. And I'll be damned if I wasn't right. One of the best moments of my life.
Nice video it was fun watching this because I’m a Saints fan.
1. Porter's SB pick ( It secured the SB)
2. ATL block (Symbolized the city's return)
3. Hartley's kick (Sent us to first SB)
This is the top 3 by far.
Switch #2 & also #3, then u good!! 👍🏽👌🏽🙌🏽⚜️🎩⚠️🖤💛
Tracy Porter interception should be and always be number 1
Top 10 times Drew Brees sat on the sideline looking at his tablet while the defense was in. The fans are deserving of such a great list.
Watching #4 making me wish we had Cooks and Mike Thomas at receiver.
llonden Thomas running slays and Cooks running Go’s with Brees tossing the ball? That’s just unfair bro. I love it
Great choices... I would take out Cooks TD, and replace it with the Dome Patrol goal line stand vs. Pittsburgh in 87 that gave us our 1st winning season. nothing against Cooks TD... i was there.
Goosebumps,
Lots of tears of happiness
I love this so much!! ⚜️
i do believe porters pick 6 was the greatest, But steve gleasons block brought tears to my eyes after katrina. js
I think the Hartley kick should be #4 & Porter #2
fieldguy316 I tried to balance significance and how great the actual play was. While extremely significant, the Hartley kick itself wasn't such a great play, hence the lower rating. You have a point on Porter, but I feel the onside kick was more important to turning the Super Bowl around.
i mean i understand what i said is just my opinion and yeah the onside kick was very important indeed for the most part i do agree with your list and order was just stating what i would put it as if i had a list
The two point conversion by Lance Moore changed the Super Bowl significantly, also.
Love the list with 1 exception - see below
1. Gleason block - I'm sorry, but I don't see this as debatable
2. Hartley FG - if you were in that Dome when his foot connected, you get it
3. Porter SB Pick 6 - huge play and arguably #2, but getting to the SB was the mountain
4. Hakim drops the ball if for nothing else than Jim Henderson's call, but also Playoff seal broken
5. The rest without Cooks busted coverage TD
5:10 we shanked the extra point and lost by one point
W2 still a great play
I came here for a good time and you ruined it
Play was still amazing tho
Yea I remember seeing it like 👏🏽👏🏽😄😄.....😱😱🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I couldn't believe that shit. I remember breaking my remote.
In football when a tackler grabs one leg and does the alligator twist, which usually ends in a injury, it should be a automatic disqualification like intentional targeting.
You can tackle one leg without twisting very easily and bring the runner down.
saints fan but this list sucks bro
Glad to see Meachem's theft on the list. I'll never forget that play. I'm ok with The Block at Number 1 but you have to put the Porter pick at 2 and the on-side at 3.
9 out of 10 right with a little reshuffling. But, replace the Cooks' TD in 2016 season opener with the Saints' goal line stand vs the Steelers in 1987 to clinch the Saints' first winning season.
Tracey porter int Minnesota #1
Hartley field goal Minnesota #2
Onside kick SUPER BOWL #3
Tracey Porter int SUPERBOWL #4
Reopening of the SUPERDOME #5 BUT IN OUR HEARTS #1!!!!!!!!!!!
1.) Tracy Proter SB interception
2.) Steve Gleason Punt Block
3.) Garett Harley NFCC Field Goal
4.) Breese TD Pass breaks records
5.) First ever Saints play
6.) Joe Horns makes phone call
7.) SB Halftime Onside Kick
8.) Micheal Thomas calls Joe Horn
9.) Pat Demsey sets FG record
10.) Reggie hurtles a nigga
11.) Meachem goes #TakeBackGang
Robert Meachem's play has always been my favorite. That was midseason of the Superbowl year. and I think the game could have went either way before that play. That hustle cemented the type of tenacious attitude that the Saints would maintain for the rest of the year.
Been a fan from new Orleans since they were founded in 1966. The Dempsey kick should be there but not top 5. The miracle shouldn't be in at all. Cooks shouldn't be in top five.
My top 5
5. The Meachem takeaway
4. Tracy Porter int. Against Farve in championship
3. Onside kick and recovery in super bowl
2. Tracy Porter Pick 6 in superbowl
1. Gleason block against Falcons.
It was the most important because it meant that New Orleans was Back after Katrina. You would have to have gone through it and know the positive impact this team had on all of southeast Louisiana.
Jim Henderson has to be the best Saints announcer ever. I love his enthusiasm.
Gleason's kickblock, for what it did for the city of New Orleans, will always be Number One in my book.
A lot of good ones here. I’m going to pick #7 as my favourite as I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a play like that before…ever!!
Galbreaths TD against the Jets in NY in 80'... how does that not make the list
In my humble opinion, *7 is within my top 3. I know its crazy, but I just love that play and the resiliency it shows from the Saints. Kinda like our town. Struggling to survive, desperation throw, catastrophic consequence, yet, NOLA continues to persevere, make the best of the situation, and at the end of it all, come out on top! Plus, I love Henderson's call.
Great video omg..lol I love hearing Jim Henderson call the game for the lateral play...did y'all see deuce with the throw while being taken down. Great video #whodat
Let’s go saints baby 2018 is our year #whodatnation
I'd put Tracy Porter atleast at 3 since that was to practically seal the Super Bowl win. As for 3, great play but Dan Carney screwed that up and made all those laterals all for none. Otherwise that would've been more well known and re-shown than probably "The Music City Miracle".
i would have placed the pick 6 tracy porter 1st since that was our first sb win
BTW The kick off one was their first play
Overall a pretty good list but maybe put porters pick six in the top 5 but I agree with #1, nevertheless great video
He missed Sam Mills he stole 6 points took the ball right out of QBs hand
This list sucks. Why is Brandin Cooks touchdown and Reggie Bush dive on here, they shouldn't even make this list. I don't even see the goal line stand against the Steelers in 1987 which secured their first winning season ever! Where is the 2000 playoff game against the Rams, their first playoff win ever? Horribly done.
Great list but could use some context to each game situation, otherwise great job.
As a Colts fan I'm surprised the Tracy Porter pick 6 isn't higher. That play should be #2, I definitely agree with #1 though, that punt block by Steve Gleason gives me chills every single time.
Dats wild how this was 5 years ago but na I need a updated one 👀 WHODAT
I have a feeling before i watch this Gleason's punt block will be number one.... I wonder how Brees' statue will look Next to Steve's out front of the superdome.
Not the same listening to the Saints on the radio without Jim Henderson and Hokie Gajan.
Bruh I refuse to read any comments. The only comment can be: WTF! Tracy Porter will forever be in Saints history. His interception in that win is hands down the best play in history. THE ONLY SUPER BOWL IN FRANCHISE HISTORY! Come on. It's THE play.
Okay, immediately eating my words. It's Gleason. STEVE GLEASON. oh man. Tracy is 2nd. And the inside is 3.
I’ve never ever seen a football team so happy after making a Field goal
Hakim drops the ball (first playoff victory) the goal line stand against Pittsburgh (secured the first winning season) and Porter's interception on Favre should have been on the list (take off Reggie's double reverse, Meachem's take away, and Cooks's 98 yard TD). Those were great plays, but didn't have the impact of the three I listed. Porter's interception in the Super Bowl should be number 1.
5:01 good thing you didn’t put that missed extra point to lose the game
He needs a BLOCK!!! Lmao😂
that was the block heard round the world!! Yea!!!!!!!!!!!😂🤣💖💖
I don't care what anyone says New Orleans Saints are one of the best teams
Ok. I agree with #1. That defined the rebirth but how is Tracy Porters interception in the Super Bowl not #2
Awesome 💯☝🏼☝🏼👍👍🧨🧨🧨games
How is the porter pick 6 not AT LEAST Top 3?
Bush touchdown on #9 is pure magic
Hartley's field goal should be top 5. It sent us to the Super Bowl. Tracy Porter should be number 1 IMO. Between #7 & #3 the Saints have had some really unusual moments in their games.
Best part about #3 is that they missed the extra point to tie. Lost on an extra point after all that
Adam Kotar But they still wouldn’t have made the playoffs with a win because the Green Bay Packers won their game later that day.
How is that the best part? Thats the worst part.
@@BPC1980 Well, it does show how good the play was for itself to be worth it of being on the list even if it didn't had a good impact.
Does anyone know where the Meachem takeaway clip is from. It's so much better with the music

Forgot Tracy porter clutch pick of Brett Favre in NFC championship game
Brandon Cooks doesn't belong on list and above Porter interceptions...please.
I was thinking it should include "Hakim Drops the Ball" and the game vs the Jets that secured the Saints first winning season. The pass to Cook is barely memorable.
Tracy porter was lit.like if you agree
I started to cry at #1
Take off Cooks 98 yard touch and replace it with Drew breaking the all time passing record. Tracy Porter's interception should be number 1. The onside kick and Gleason are 2 and 3.
You forgot the pick by Porter in the NFC championship game. That's number one in my book
These are fine if presented in no particular order. Here is how I would rank them:
10 - Cooks TD (low bc it was a loss)
9 - Bush's leap (started the season of destiny feeling)
8 - Gilliam KR (cool bit of trivia)
7 - Meach-Around (had Saints fans feeling unstoppable)
6 - River City Relay (so absurdly unlikely)
5 - Dempsey FG (record stood for decades)
4 - Hartley FG (sent Saints to the SB)
3 - Ambush (jumpstarted the SB comeback)
2 - Porter Pick 6 (clinched the SB)
1 - Gleason Block (the return was an emotional moment)
Honorable Mention
Drew Brees spin move vs Atlanta
Alvin Kamara juggling catch vs Washington
Drew Brees TD pass in OT vs Dallas
All of Drew Brees record setting throws
Will Lutz game winning FG vs Texans MNF
The Fans chanting those famous words “WHO DAT”
Where my saints fans at here
6:05 "To this day, I have never heard the superdome louder than that moment" -Drew Brees
Hartley’s kick at #8??? And Porter pick in Super Bowl at #6??? Seriously??? Both of those should be in the top 3 with Gleason’s blocked punt.
1. Porter pick 6 in Super Bowl
2. Gleason blocked punt
3. Hartley kicks Saints into Super Bowl
4. Dempsey’ kick
5. Gilliam’s return
6. Onsides kick in Super Bowl
7. Hakeem drops the ball for first ever playoff victory
8. Multiple lateral play vs. Jaguars
9. Goal line stop vs. Steelers to secure first ever winning season
10. Brees pass to Sproles to break Marino season passing yards record
1. Steve Gleason Block
2. Garrett Hartley FG
3. Ambush
4. River City Relay
5. Tracy Porter Interception
6. Drew Brees Passes Marino
7. Robert Meachum Strip
8. Deuce Push 06 Playoffs
9. Lance Moore Baltimore Catch
10. Tom Dempsey Kick
Dempsey’s kick is deserving to be on the list, as is Gleason’s blocked punt; But, NO WAY either of those plays (or any others, for that matter) has the of Tracy Porter’s interception to clinch the Super Bowl Win! But, WHY isn’t Malcolm Jenkins’s “Turkey Day Take Away”, included, here?
Hartley's kick, IMO, should be #1. Before then, I'm telling you, there would have been a penalty or something to bring it back. To Old School fans like me just making it to the Super Bowl was a miracle. Hakim Drops the Ball and Deuce's touchdown run where he carried half the Eagles defense into the endzone during the 2006 playoff game should be on the list.
Anyway, do you mind if I post this video to my site - www.nosaintshistory.com?
As a Detroit Lions fan who saw Dempsey’s kick in real time in Nov 1970, it’s clear young folks don’t see the impact of that one play that was the Saints biggest moment for over 30 years. Goodness, it even had a song written for it. I just have a few things for you guys. Your order of Steve Gleason at #1 was good, but Dempsey should be #1 and Gleason #2. Dempsey’s 63-yard kick actually won a game and will live for 500 years in Saints and NFL lore. After that, you can order as you wish. But this list also begs the question: You had Archie Manning as QB on your team for years and not one play from his era on the list? He was a great player on a horrible team but surely there was something from his era that stood out. I think the list, from and independent perspective, needs a little work. Yeah, still crying after 40 years on that Dempsey kick! But it was very sad to hear of his passing. No single play in Saints history comes close to what Dempsey did.
Play#3 Saints were a lock in the playoffs that year if they won that particular game and the next against Dallas which they did! If only Dan Carney made the PAT following that TD the game would've went to OT! And not even a PAT of today's distance, 33yds. That was a classic chip shot 20yd PAT!!! I've never seen my Dad so upset..
The Tracy Porter Interception in the Super Bowl THE biggest play in Franchise history! #6???? NO! Number 3? He missed the extra point. No way is that bigger than the Porter Interception. Just no! Hartley's Kick should be ahead of that too!
Im from Atlanta born and raised and i have to tell everyone that blocked punt by Steve Gleason broke the heart of an entire city we were silent for days... We hate the Saints i dont think other people understand the distaste we have for eachother IT'S BITTER HATRED ... we could go 2-14 as long as the 2 wins are against the SAINTS we will be ok
I remember every one of them, was there for many,,,where is “Hakim Drops The Ball”? Was living in Birmingham Al and at the precise moment the pizza guy was at the door, and my wife answered, I scared the shit out of him with my scream! (I scream well, I was stationed there as a Marine recruiter, we Marines scream well🤣)
Thanks for compiling this great list. I agree with just about all of it. Everyplay that I thought should be there was!! Gleason's blocked punt is my #1 as well.
My top 3 are the Porter Pick 6, Hartley hitting that Fleur de F*****g Lis, and the River City Miracle (before the botched extra point)...
My personal top 3 would be Steve Gleason blocked punt because that showed WE WERE BACK Tracy Porter pick six it shows we belong and Hartley field goal
And then we miss the XP vs jags
Yup, Hokie went nuts!
I understand fully why no. 1 was what it was, but Porters pick six should be no lower than no.2.
Did these guys forget about Ricky Jackson Sam Mills Patrick's Wheeling they didn't make the top 15 player really
How can you honestly rank that jags game top 10? We lost right after that play. It true NOLA fashion. Saints have to have some of the biggest heart breaks in the NFL.
How is Tracy Porter's Picks in the NFC Championship game and the SuperBowl NOT in like the top 4 plays ? just sayin'
The FG that sent this franchise to its first and only Super Bowl at #8??? Are you kidding me?? And Porter’s pick 6 at #6???
