I had the 1000 but found it to be difficult to place the bullet because of the upright. Yes I made a lot of modifications but it was worth it. I now have 2 pro 6000, one setup for 9 and one for 45acp. You can buy the lee bullet feeder for it the only thing is I think it's a pain to load it that's why I made the feeders.
That alarm sounding on every single stroke of the ram would drive me absolutely insane (and every one else in the vicinity). But if it works for you, more power to ya. The only alarm that sounds on mine is when the powder charge isn’t correct, which is pretty much never.
@@DanClark-r7e On mine I cut about a 1/2 inch out of the spring near the bottom and screwed in a 6-32 screw that I cut the top off. This gives me the ability to adjust the length to get the correct travel. I then took a bic pen and removed the refill and cut it about 1 inch shorter than the spring and slid it over the spring to keep it from flexing. I used a small wire tie to keep it up near the top.
How is that extended primer chute working for you? I read on one forum they tend to let primers sneak out or something not good like that. Seems a simple correction to the design with 3D printing. That long chute seems like it could help keep from having to reload primer trays as often. Ive not had any priming issues short of just running out fairly frequently.
@@danya822 the one that I'm using does not leak primers it's made up of several parts you can find them on thingiverse and it works very well it agitates the primers very well because it moves back and forth as you push the ram up and down
@hotrod3737 Thanks for the response! I have a 6000 but I'm not able to reload for awhile, so was doing some digging into current mods, and hadn't seen that one before. Some really cool stuff out there, seems to me the 6000 is a pretty good base to start with now. Automatic bullet and case feed, improved case feed setup, extended primer feed, low primer warning, raised autodrum, that about covers it I think! I saw the offset spent primer chute as well that is a bit intriguing. I haven't had issues with the stock tube but I figured over time, it's going to pop off and make a mess.
@@danya822 I don't think they spent primer tube is going to come off but it could get a little bit heavy I just didn't like it with the red cap and it was a pain in the neck so I just took an old soda bottle drilled a hole in the top of it put the tube through it put some tape around the cap and screw it back on and then I just unscrew the bottle and empty it out every once in a while I like the fact that I can hear the primers fall down into the bottle when it deprimes. The one in that video is now set up exclusively for 9 mm I added another $6,000 and that one is set up for 45 both are set up with 3D printed case and bullet feeders I expect to do another video and then not too distant future of the second setup
You take 6000 to the next level, thinking of getting one but man all the modifications make me lee nervous, I'm a pro 1000 man

You are obviously a smart person, i dont have the time or brain to rig mine like yours. Please sell me yours!

Would like to know about the primer return spring you have on your machine. Mine went south during setup. Thanks, Dan C, SoCal.

Yes that primer return spring is a pain.
There are a few things you can do to help
