THE REVIEW
I watch each episode with my own commentary, often pausing the scenes to get my words out without having to talk over the episode, and also to point out and analyze the show's art and animation. I have seen each episode already growing up, so these reviews are to compare and contrast the five categories listed below.
PLOT (Scaled from 1 to 5 Points)
The foundation of the episode. Uniqueness and overused tropes are taken into account, but it is also judged on how well it tells the story of the episode. An episode can score a 5 even with a basic/ cliche plotline as long as it has good pacing, worthy use of its tropes, and feels well-polished. An episode can lose points due to plotholes, uneven storytelling, and relying too heavily on cliches to do the work for it.
CHARACTERIZATION (Scaled from 1 to 5 Points)
How well the characters are written. Do they feel like themselves compared to the grand narrative of the franchise? Are the supporting or one-off characters interesting, or pure plot devices? Did the humor land? Did the actions and character motivations make sense?
VISUALS (Scaled from 1 to 5 Points)
Basically, everything that happens on-screen. Character Design. Animation. Backgrounds. Creative mechanics and solutions. If there is CGI or digital effects added, how well do they blend into the show, and were they used as an enhancement, or a crutch?
IMPORTANCE (Scaled from 1 to 5 Points)
This includes, but is not strictly based on, how important the episodes are to the current story arc (if there is one) or the general narrative of the Ben 10 Franchise. Points can also be awarded for how impactful the episode was, or how favored/ important it is to the general Ben 10 fanbase. I ask myself, "If I skipped this, would I be missing out on the 'Ben 10 Experience?' "
ENTERTAINMENT (Scaled from 1 to 5)
Pretty much the most important part of developing a tv show. You can be perfect in all four of the previous categories, but the episode can still be boring. On the flip side, the episode can be absolute garbage, but still an enjoyable watch. How likely would you be to put this episode on if you were in the mood to watch Ben 10?

Can Alien x Beat Anti Spiral 🤔🤔?
I honestly appreciate how Ben goes out of his way to use GreyMatter to save the day in the climax, rather than get him accidentally like usual. It's a small thing, but something I much appreciate and think goes overlooked in this episode.
Definitely something to appreciate, given how the OG show so often used him as a joke to make solving a problem more difficult.

its so cool cuz now Ben has much more experience with his old aliens, and seeing him use Grey Matter in the right way its so awesome, it passes the old gag from Classic
Omniverse would have been so great if they just consistently made it so that Ben purposefully turned the randomizer on the new Omnitrix from episode one (maybe after Kevin and Gwen left) to keep him on his toes and skilled when he has so many aliens and experience. Then had him turn it off when things got serious and choose the alien he knew was best.
I love when Ben acknowledges aliens that he hasn't used in a while, tho it kinda makes you wonder if he used some of the others offscreen before Omniverse like Wildvine and Frankenstrike.
I'm actually surprised we didn't see Ben use Frankenstrike more, but seeing him acknowledge his lack of use of some aliens does make for some cool and easy characterization to do when you can know he has been using some aliens off-screen bc he doesn't say he hasn't used them
Probably.Ben is Not only a Plumber so he probably has Patrils and shit but i think that he genuinely just goes out on his own
I think Pax is meant to represent those animal rights activists that just go way too far, trying to "save" animals who either aren't being hurt in any form...or animals who are locked up because its too dangerous for them to roam around, which the later makes a lot of sense when it comes to alien animals who could genuinely be very dangerous

I get that but the problem with characters like Pax is that they're never contrasted with what the writer thinks is activism done correctly. If Pax is the wrong way, we should see someone trying a safer way to do it. But without such a foil, it just seems like the writers are taking a dig at all animal rights' groups.
He was just ahead of this time. these days he would be consider a mild one.

To be fair, as annoying as Pax can be, we not always get to see characters that are able to actually get Rook angry. Rook is usually a very calm person even when facing actually evil characters, so seeing him acting so annoyed towards someone like him (or the Vreedle brothers) is pretty interesting in my opinion. The fact that Rook can't stand stupid people at all to the point of wanting to get violent is kinda funny and adds more to his personality.
Not gonna lie, I was really surprised they didn't throw in a reference to Darkwing Duck's catchphrase in this episode. It wouldn't even be out of character for Rad to say "Let's get dangerous".
I think this episode is Pax's last major appearance in OV. After that, he's just a background character.

Personally, I think the Skreegit (or however you spell it) looked pretty neat. But this episode's monster is indeed rubbish.
Pax was fine for his first 5 seconds. Then, ironically, every action he takes to preserve his pacifistic nature is actively endangering the lives of everyone around him by helping out a blood thirsty creature, conviently because he himself can regenerate from most injuries. I don't know if his species is as feral as they were with Azmuth in SOTO, but either way I feel that one of them would be more useful than Pax.
He probably doesn’t know that not every species regenerate like floraunas

Not gonna lie, I'm actually surprised Rob's opinions on Rad had changed.
I had watched the character ranking videos over and over, and back then, Rob disliked Rad.
Granted, that video was 2 years ago, so I guess something was bound to change opinions sooner or later. Still comes as surprising to me.
But anywho, I'm definitely looking forward to the next Drawing Matrix video this new upcoming Saturday!! 👏
Sometimes you rewatch a show and find yourself enjoying characters and ideas a lot more than you did before, sometimes because you change, and others because you've just accepted the character exist and can enjoy them for what they are, while the first time you were mad they even existed

I haven't seen this guy since I was trapped in that green void with weird theme music with most of my alien playlist.
The fact that this episode aired out of order, airing right after The Frogs of War, made me so confused on how the Incurseans somehow returned despite them being arrested prior.

That's more of a fault of the franchise in general. They always waste pretty much every opportunity of having Tetrax show up.

I think you're being too harsh on the plot. Pax is an annoying character, but what he represents is a group of people that go way too far with a good cause that they ruin it. Like there are people who seriously think that we should never eat meat or have pets or Zoo's ect.... Especially with a lot of cartoons having plots about animal rights that are straight up wrong. Like acting like zoo keepers are evil or that you shouldn't kill a rat in your house that could be carrying illness. It's good to see a show that encourages thinking about these ideas a little deeper.
I’d argue this episode should be a 2 or 3 in importance because of Rad’s role in Galactic Monsters.

Never seen this Episode, and when Rad Showed up in Galactic Monsters, It was Kinda Hilarious without the context, but I also didnt really feel like I was Missing anything.

1:59 I can't be the only one who would have loved Omniverse so much more if it just started with an experienced Ben putting the new Omnitrix on randomization mode from the start to keep him on his toes and then making a point to turn it off when things got serious. It was genuinely fun when he got a random Alien he hadn't used in the longest and at this point he had enough aliens unlocked it'd make sense.
Rad is definition of badass in ben 10 universe.

Feral floraunas we seen lived on Xenon. Very dangerous planet that is hidden from outer space that has no civilization on it. And Xenon is not their home planet (it's Flors Verdance).
I think those floraunas are just like cavemen for modern humans. Or after few generations they gone feral to survive on alien planet with hard conditions.

Rad dudesman is one of the best gimmick characters of Ben 10 imo. I wish we saw him more, he gets the anur arc but he deserves more. Why did we get more hobble than rad

I personally do not dislike Rad Dudesman, but I found him underwhelming. With all the hype they built before his reveal, I was actually curious and was hoping for something like a guy from the same species than one of Ben's aliens, or a really badass character. Instead.... we get a joke about how he's a duck. And while they clearly try to portray him as a badass, he... I don't know he doesn't strike me as such. He's not bad but he feels not that spectacular.
Not much else to say about the rest, you covered it up well.
Rad is a cool character but I'd like to have seen Ben get a "Rad" transformation. I know why he wouldn't, CN thought Ben had enough aliens. But if Ben did scan the DNA of Rad's race, Ben as a duck alien may be fun.
I do like Rad I know in your character tier list your not the biggest fan of him since he just one character trait crank up to eleven. But he still pretty cool in my opinion and fits the world of Omniverse like I could totally see a alien big gun holding duck in the world of Ben 10. Also yeah I agree with not the biggest fan of Pax either I'm usually not the biggest fan of those hippie characters in cartoons cause they really push the whole "love peace and chicken grease" to the extreme that I know people in real life that are pacifists even say that even they wouldn't go that far and would fight to defend themselves and others not make it worse by doing this crap Pax was doing.
