The fact that she took this to trial with all the evidence against her just sums up how truly STUPID this evil step monster is. And the fact she's even trying to claim guilty by insanity, makes me want to slap the shit out of her. Along with what she did to a poor, innocent, caring young child. That detective sure has a lot of patience. I would've grilled her more harshly as a detective without pushing too far to where she shut down completely. I think he goes a little light on her...yet again with as much evidence as they were gathering on her, he prolly knew they didn't need a straight up confession. She is a child killer and this case is known nation wide with a televised trial..so she will get what she deserves if she's ever put in population. Ppl in prison will beat her just as hard as she beat poor Gannon.

Special Agent Jonathan Grusing intentionally asked questions in a soft voice without attack. He testified at trial this was done in order to keep her talking as she let some truths slip during her interviews. His only goal was to find Gannon. Per her profile/personality, any verbal altercations/ perceived attacks and/or accusations would've ended the interview. Agent Grusings' CV is 24 pages long...and knew exactly what he was doing.

‼️ what's scary if this case had happened in the 80s or 90s she probably would have gotten away with it. If there hadn't been cameras and tech to prove she was lying, Gannon would have just been one more kid who the parents said left to go to the store or left to go to a friend's house and never came back. One more unsolved case. I wonder how many of those unsolved missing kids cases from the mid-90s and earlier were actually the parent/guardian who harmed them. How many of those kids were never really missing at all?

@@jessicanolan7408 exactly what I was thinking! And Tecia's a teacher, she has no criminal record, from the outside looking in she *looks* like a great mother. She never would have been suspected in the 80s! IF his body was ever found everyone would have assumed he was kidnapped and ended by a stranger. I just have a feeling a lot of those cold case child "abductions" weren't abductions at all. ESPECIALLY because people were calling in tips claiming to have seen Gannon long after he was in a suitcase. They claimed they saw him with a man at a gas station and all sorts of things. But the police were able to disprove all of the sightings. So in the cold cases even if they claim a witness saw the kid walking to the grocery store or getting into a strange car it's probable the witness is wrong. And is either remembering a different day or saw a totally different kid! Even thinking about this is giving me chills.

I love that she's so bad at this lying thing (even though she's had lots of practice, but lying to law enforcement and lying over a murder of a child is a completely different thing, miss T...not gonna work the same as it always has!) and that she lacks such control with displaying her narcissism, and we love to see her digging her own grave for hours upon hours. There was one point in one of the phone calls with Al, Gannon's father, where Latecia tells him something like "you're still running your yap, you're still running your YAP!!", after he doesn't show 100% faith in her 37th story of events. But Latecia is actually the one, the only one in this case, who keeps running her YAP....and good for us all!!! I'm so thankful that one major symptom of her narcissism is that she didn't get an attorney who would just tell her to STFU from jump, she believed she was smarter than everyone else in the room and could easily fool them. She made her attorneys job so much harder. Impossible, really. That's why they ultimately went with the "insane" excuse, because there was no way around all her lies. The thing about lying and covering things up and constantly spinning things is that it displays consciousness of guilt-- something that legitimately insane people don't have or display.

After listening to her talk of it with the FBI agent.after she was arrested it makes me think.she started the fire intentionally but either the alarm did go off alerting to a fire or Gannon or his sister woke up (most likely Gannon) and she got caught.and it scared her so she freaked out she blamed Gannon but she had already caused him injuries by starting the fire. So she freaked out and had to cover up her actions and blamed Gannon and then had to shut him up and that along with her hate towards Gannon the fact that he defended his biological mom and the mosters need to have Al all to herself is her motive.
