I really don’t understand why we can’t have the Komplete Kollection on modern gaming systems. Maybe Neatherrealm Studios realize that people would stop playing MK1 in favor of the Klassics.

Same here. Love the scenes, the music. Everything! There’s a lot of little details that made it a true gem, like the lightning traveling around Raiden, or when you hear Goro roaring and smashing before you fight him.
@fernandeaux1631 Most definitely. Enter the Dragon comes to mind; both the game and the movie have the protagonist enter a martial arts tournament on a remote island. Bruce defeats Han. Liu Kang (a Bruce Lee clone) defeats Shang Tsung. You gotta love it!
Each game has that ONE character you hate to play and know when the difficulty takes a turn. For me: MK1 - Raiden MKII - Kung Lao UMK3 - Jade MKT - MK1 Kano
At the time I was very happy to get that PS2 version of Mortal Kombat 1 it was the closest version to the arcade you could find but it had problems with the background music on. Stage 2. I'm not sure It had reptile either.I still have this copy.
@@apap1586 they just never bothered to fix it. The other arcade games that were released for PlayStation/GameCube/Xbox also have sound glitches and slow down. The consoles can handle the games just fine, I just think none of the staff actually bothered to go through and fix those glitches.
Great Playthrough. It also took me 30 min to beat this on my channel. This is what I was saying in past comments that this game is too hard. I'm sure if I played the 1-up version of this I can put the difficulty to very easy.
Someone else mentioned that also, it’s a move of Scorpions that I forget to use a lot when it comes to MK1, and only against the computer as I use it all the time in PVP lol not sure why.
Darryl i believe one of the only mk s ive yet seen you play is UMK3 on Sega Saturn. I still have mine in its giant case from 1996 and it was a pretty good port from memory..
Against the CPU Sub Zero and Scorpion are strong. Against other players the tier list went as follows. Sonya Blade Cage Liu Kang Kano Raiden Sub Zero Scorpion Sonya and Cage had easy infinite combos. Raiden's Sprite was larger then the rest so some combos would only work against him. Liu and Kano were mid tier and the Ninjas standard attacks were slower then the other characters but that was a result of both of them having setups. All this being said there were really no bad characters.
The only issue with this version is that Palace Gates music are nearly quiet for some reason but its otherwise a really good version of MK 1992 I feel like the game is a little faster than the arcade version
Indeed, compared to the PC version of Midway Arcade Treasures 2 (known as the Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxe Edition... and the PSP/Vita Midway Arcade Treasures Extended Play) the difficulty is set on the hardest settings (minus the no continue if you lose a match thing that Midway Arcade Treasures 2 has as an option)... now I'm curious about this on MK2 in the Midway Arcade Treasures 2 emulator as an unlockable in Shaolin Monks (remember, you must do Smoke's subquests to unlock the Midway Arcade Treasures 2 emulation of the game), on UMK3 in the Midway Arcade Treasures 2 emulator in Armageddon Premium Disc is set on Normal difficulty (if you know about the EJB menu and how to access the normal game configuration options on the arcade version, then you can look the setting, HOWEVER changing pretty much anything crashes the game, so don't mess up the game settings). Edit: The music at the end is the same with MK2 and MK3 in Midway Arcade Treasures 2 (I dunno about MK2 in Shaolin Monks, and I don't remember how it handles the music the PC version of Midway Arcade Treasures 2... I have to take a look into it later), they didn't put the music keep playing on loop or whatever it is called to not have silence while the credits is rolling (it also happens with any song in the game if you let it keep playing, like having a mid-match without music), but for UMK3 despite using the very same Midway Arcade Treasures 2 emulator, they got that music thing fixed.

So Scorpion won the tournament. They need to rewrite the mortal kombat 1 movie plot now, to where Johnny Cage beats Goro but then gets blasted by Scopions flame skull fire. Kano and Sonya somehow kill eachother at the same time. Kitana gets the chair for interfering with the tournament while trying to help Lui Kang.
