The placement of zygomatic implants is an alternative to be able to rehabilitate a mouth in which the bone available for the placement of conventional implants is insufficient and without resorting to bone grafts.
00:24 What is zygomatic implant treatment?
The treatment consists of the placement of 1 or 2 implants of a length greater than the conventional ones, which are anchored in the zygomatic bone or cheekbone. These implants can be complemented with conventional implant placement if the remaining bone is sufficient. Once the implants have been placed, they can be restored with a fixed prosthesis, in the same way as if they were conventional implants.
How is the treatment with zygomatic implants performed?
It is based on a preliminary exhaustive study of the upper jaw, with the latest generation 3D technology. With the maxillary CBCT and the three-dimensional study we can obtain the maximum performance of the patient's bone. It is evident that a complementary study of the aesthetics of the patient is also needed: photographic analysis and study of models. Once the diagnosis is made, the treatment plan is explained to the patient. Normally zygomatic implants are complemented with 2 or more conventional implants in the anterior area. In cases where there is very little bone also in the anterior area, the placement of 4 zygomatic implants can be considered.

I'm glad I had my dental implant a year ago and it was made a big difference compare to my denture.!! So I had a full mouth prosthesis and 3 implants and 2 zygomatic and I'm I made a good decision to come forward because it made a big change in my life that I have no dealt with a lose denture when I ate. And my zygomatic and made me have a beautiful smile and gave me a confident talking to people... all in all I'm happy that I made a decision to have a zygomatic implant and no regret..and then after my surgery also they place in my temporary prosthesis so when I was out to my dentist I have a teeth that was been attach and I don't have to worry of waiting to have a permanent teeth to be place until I reach the 12months of my full recovery or I can say monthly visit.
But what if there is no bone for the middle two implants?
How much time it takes to speak comfortably after it..??

I just had this done exactly a month ago today
My entire top all in four failed and they are talking about doing this. How painful was this? I have already been through so much and I’m really scared to do this.. I’m just wondering what the healing process was like and the pain.
