Tongue analysis is one of the fundamental practices in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Along with pulse diagnosis, the two work hand in hand to help narrow down a list of possible differential diagnoses.
The tongue has different organs associated with other parts of the tongue, which are used to provide information about the health of each organ system. Any area of the tongue that shows discoloration, excessive moisture, swelling, or other conditions can show possible issues in different organs in the body.
