I mastered the 3x3 because of you and now I am about to master 2x2 just because of you AGAIN. I would like to thank you for sharing your knowledge and not just keeping it. You deserve all the subs and support you are getting.
Thanks Cubastic for helping me solve the 2x2, I also found out this is faster: Once you solve the bottom layer, When two solved corners are next to each other, you could also do the right hand algorithm once, turn the cube left and do the left hand algorithm once as well, instead of doing three algorithm each. With these step of moves you could solve all for corners faster
Thanks, I like it very much! Note that actually you don't have to do 3x right hand + 3x left hand to change 2 corners (at about 9:00 in the video). It is enough to do 1 right hand + 1 left hand. The other 2-2 unnecessary moves just orient corners differently but the position of the corners will be the same.
At 11.05 you have the yellow part in the right and that is why you made the right algorithm. If you would have it on the left, you should have done the left algorithm. That's something maybe people would want to know (there are cases where doing the right algorithm in the final stage, if the yellow square is on the left side, will scramble the white part on the top). You made a great tutorial. I just bought one 2x2x2 cube today (never had previous experience with rubiks), on my way home I scramble it thinking that couldn't be that hard to do it. One hour later I was looking at your video on youtube. Nice Job; now I got it !
This was my problem, I get right to the last bit but the yellow corners are on the left and I end up scrambling the whole thing and have to start from scratch, so if the yellow squares are on the left I must apply the left algorithm ? Thank You.
I have done it so many time, every time the same scenario, yellow all on the bottom and complete, white scrambled even trying the left algorithm. I am going to look for an alternative solution to see if it’s me and I am missing a link!!
Bro I watched a ton of 2 by 2 tutorials and when I saw yours I thought it was going to be the same old thing like the other tutorials from other creators. After seeing the video though I mastered a 2x2 in 15 mins. You just earned a like and a new Sub :D
Its been at least 2 1/2 hours trying to solve this cube. The only think i want right now its to throw it with all of my power on the wall in front of me and break it and never use it again. Instead i will take a break and maybe i will try later or tomorrow.
i watched many tutorials, but this one was the best. if one of his steps dont work for you, go to another tutorial and learn that specific step you cant do there, then come back for the rest, thats what i did. anyways, this is honestly the best one i watched.
Seriously, thank you! Finally, someone that helped me "see" the cube and learn how to move pieces how I want to, without trying to memorize a load of patterns.
@@1QuietCoyote LOL. Do your best to spread sadness where you can, I guess. Also, thanks for linking to 'your' tutorials, to show us how it 'should' be done. :-)
I can verify this works well for solving a 2x2x2 mirror cube, too! For those who have tried one of these buggers, there are 4 block sizes, and 2 of them are triplets! It makes it maddening to try to solve it normally. If you get one of the top row on the bottom, you might not be able to tell until you can't solve the top! You have to use trial and error to figure out which ones really belong on the bottom. With this method, solve one the first level, and then searching for matching pairs helps eliminate the guessing. Works every time, so far!
After solving the first layer and finding the 2 matching corners, I put the matching corners on the back (away from me) and do U, R, U', L', U, R' U', L once and I get all the corners matching. You may have to turn the top layer a bit. Just like on a 3x3. I learned how to solve both cubes this week, so I'm sorry if I'm saying something wrong. Thanks for the videos!
This is a great way to learn the 2x2. Just have to understand 1 easy algorithm, which your vid should be titled "No New Algorithms," and an understanding of orientation & position.

I am still missing out on this. The moves are tough as nails. I have watched your video three times like your voice and speed. I wrote down the moves. Which I stress over. But still not fixed this thing.
