    Thanks Cubastic for helping me solve the 2x2, I also found out this is faster:
    Once you solve the bottom layer, When two solved corners are next to each other, you could also do the right hand algorithm once, turn the cube left and do the left hand algorithm once as well, instead of doing three algorithm each. With these step of moves you could solve all for corners faster

    Thanks, I like it very much! Note that actually you don't have to do 3x right hand + 3x left hand to change 2 corners (at about 9:00 in the video). It is enough to do 1 right hand + 1 left hand. The other 2-2 unnecessary moves just orient corners differently but the position of the corners will be the same.

    At 11.05 you have the yellow part in the right and that is why you made the right algorithm. If you would have it on the left, you should have done the left algorithm. That's something maybe people would want to know (there are cases where doing the right algorithm in the final stage, if the yellow square is on the left side, will scramble the white part on the top).
    You made a great tutorial. I just bought one 2x2x2 cube today (never had previous experience with rubiks), on my way home I scramble it thinking that couldn't be that hard to do it. One hour later I was looking at your video on youtube. Nice Job; now I got it !

    • @roytucker9056
      @roytucker9056 2 года назад

      This was my problem, I get right to the last bit but the yellow corners are on the left and I end up scrambling the whole thing and have to start from scratch, so if the yellow squares are on the left I must apply the left algorithm ?

    I can verify this works well for solving a 2x2x2 mirror cube, too! For those who have tried one of these buggers, there are 4 block sizes, and 2 of them are triplets! It makes it maddening to try to solve it normally. If you get one of the top row on the bottom, you might not be able to tell until you can't solve the top! You have to use trial and error to figure out which ones really belong on the bottom. With this method, solve one the first level, and then searching for matching pairs helps eliminate the guessing. Works every time, so far!

    After solving the first layer and finding the 2 matching corners, I put the matching corners on the back (away from me) and do U, R, U', L', U, R' U', L once and I get all the corners matching. You may have to turn the top layer a bit. Just like on a 3x3.
