Love Chris’s new party hat 😂
😅
😂🎉🎉🎉
Beat me to it 😂🎉
Looks like the tin man.
Looks like puddles the singing clown 🤡.
Chris is not losing out by been stuck in the workshop all day long , it’s a big ball ache to drive around in the UK.
Wow that geezer from Birmingham deserves his shout out! What a hero Peter Shaw is! Hope his meeting was a success 🙂
18:53 it's like Chris is having a little party. He deserves it
The balance of styles between Rob and Chris is, perfectly complimentary, and a huge part of the success of this channel.
It’s been good watching Chris evolve from the mysterious shape in the background, to cameraman, comedian, and the other part of a perfect team!
‘You can’t beat a bit of localised damage’ - definite candidate for Quote of the Year from Chris right there. Brilliant video from SRUK.
winced a bit watching Chris drilling out the bolts without eye protection, shards of metal flying everywhere, otherwise another great vid guys.
Chris is a different person from when you first started, much more confident. Rob you've brought him out of himself, well done.
Wear some eye protection Chris when you are drilling out spot welds and such.
Just one small piece in the eye and you’re off to the emergency room.
Great video none the less 👍🏻🤠
19:00 I thought Chris was wearing a party hat 🤣🤣
I know people who have had horrible experiences with repaired cars , pity there are not more people like you. 👍👍👍
8:28 Only got one pair of eyes. It only takes one pair of safety glasses to look after them.
Do you need a tissue?
@@joshevans8110 Chris might while he's on his way to hospital.
I never tire of watching Chris’s attention to detail when he’s working on a vehicle.
Your integrity and attention to detail makes these videos very compelling and is a credit to you both. Your success is absolutely deserved.
Wow, great work , learning a lot from it. One point of criticism which i didn't want to mention because of the good concept of this channel. The editor should focus on the sound levels . Actually it's one of most important tasks when editing video.
Anytime Chris says he's quite pleased with that you know it's beyond top quality work, Takes real skill to make it look so effortless 👍
In a nutshell. It's been beautiful to watch 2 honest car mechanics grow something very informative and totally watchable into something special.. Big up to you guys. And thank you for great content. Haven't missed an episode. Ķeep up the good honest hard work..
Always a pleasure to watch a couple of dedicated professionals make the right calls regardless of cost or time . I've come out of retirement and into my 3rd week restoring a fire damaged Evoque because of your channel guys. You are an inspiration 💓
You guys make a cracking team ❤
Im glad you remembered the bypass cock up 😂 . I know chris knows his onions but tell him to slip a pair of glasses on when drilling.
And chiselling !
You guys just keep proving the fact, that with your professionalism and pride in your work, anyone can buy a vehicle from you with the utmost confidence! 👏👏👏👌
chris get the goggles on,you are only given 1 set of eyes, great progress on the volvo
You pair need a tv so this is better then any car show I've seen
Naughty boy Chris, should be wearing glasses when drilling those welds out!
Hi Rob and Chris, coming together nicely, great guy who bought the bumper from Birmingham for you. The water pump… nice one, what a saving there, just proves how valuable a couple of minutes cross matching numbers can be.
Very intrigued as to what you have on your trailer (sounds heavily damaged).. Alex.
Hello Rob and Chris, great work on the Volvo, that part from eBay was a steal,£400 new is alot of money, Chris did a top job on the welded part.
turning into a volvo specialist :) - lovely to see the detailed repair of that panel!
i love when Chris is talking, he used be so quiet. Love the video
I’ve said it before, but it’s so nice to see such honest repairers…too many monkeys letting the side down. I make a point of avoiding crash damaged vehicles, but I’d have no issues buying one from you pair.
John is correct, volumes vary between school choir and Led Zeppelin !
This video ended really well, I felt the enthusiasm and pleasure in Chris’s voice this video a little bit like Rob often has. That really struck me this time. Excellent stuff boys, nicely done.
Safety specs ,when drilling and chiselling , not worth risking it !
Nice hat Chris. Worthy of a screen shot is that.
Love the video shipmates x sound quality was up and down like a jockeys arsenal on a racehorse
Watching Chris working is incredibly therapeutic. Another great video guys, thanks again for the effort!
I suspect that after Chris, working on that front section....it's better now than when it left the assembly line
Well done Chris 👏
Lovely explanation by Chris on drilling out the spot welds, I knew they were special (expensive) drills, but never realised they are intact a flat cutter. (Personally I would have thought safety glasses should have been worn but only an observation) Very interesting and informative video. 👏👍
I’ve owned Volvo’s for past 20 years and can officially say that their dealer parts prices are ridiculous. INA makes pulleys and bearings for them. I use Gates belts and any suspension parts are made by Lemförder. Less than 1/2 the price if you don’t pay for the fancy blue box that says Volvo on it.
I'm not a volvo fan but loving both your hard work on this car it will be a beautiful when finished
Someone is going to get a dam good car at a decent cost with a repair that imo is better than insurance would do
Hi 👋🏻 guys. Yet again Chris has worked his magic with that chassis repair 😊 And love his new hat lol 😆 This I’ll be an awesome motor for somebody 👍🏻
Having seen salvage cars being rebuilt as a kid and throughout my adult life I feel right at home watching you guys work on your projects. When you finally get working on a salvage car most times than not something new always pops up that needs fixing, part of the game and to be expected in a way.
An understatement from Chris of perfection “quite pleased with that really”…..
There's always something hiding when you start delving in.least you got the master of body work Chris, great video guys.
Chris looks great in a lieutenant's hat.
The difference in volume levels between the real time bits and the voice-overs really need matching-up.
The belt that Volvo supply must be made of gold!
Chris looks like one of Thunderbirds! 🖖
Well have to love when you stumble upon a deal like that water pump, lovely job this one is guys Cheers!
It certainly is high level repair work Chris is carrying out - impressed!
Love Chri's hints and tips :)
Thanks for your guidance Chris. Although most people are not likely to get into the depths that you and Rob do, it encourages best practice when carrying out other less involved jobs. Keep up the good work.
Good video! Lads, when are we going back to mon&wed&fri? I’m struggling with this wed&sat it’s just not enough😢
I keep writing probably the same comment Chris is a master car man excellent would love him to work on my car but will not forget to mention Rob a perfect partner ship keep up the good work and the channel love it
I don’t think any of your videos will ever be able to show how relentless drilling spot welds is…. Fair play Chris..
Chris knows the importance of very correctly repairing and replacing certain parts with structural damage on any car as assures if the vehicle is ever in a future crash, it will properly absorb the crash and keep the occupants safe. Yes, it is more work, and a few quid more, but you guys have to do it right for your own peace of mind. There are far too many out there that wouldn't just to save a few quid and not care about the risk to the customer.
Like the comments about Thunderbirds Chris....... he's not Virgil but Brains and Rob's character is a womble cos he's always foraging!!!!!
Hi rob and Chris, great job on the wee volvo, can't wait till the next video, from marty in Belfast northern Ireland God bless
Hi Guys
At about 16:50 it is nice to see the ESAB welder working on a Volvo... keep it Swedish!!
Cordialement,
Never long enough for 2 videos a week. !! Can't wait for the next one boys. 😎👍
Can’t believe cost of parts for the Volvo you had right result paying £50 for the new part love the hat Chris 👍🏽👍🏽😂😂well done guys all coming together now and on its way to being completed excited for what ever is on the back of truck as you paid high price for it 👍🏽👍🏽
Liked, Chris hat on his head whilst, skilfully carrying out repairs excellent video and team work 😊
Thanks for the film. Especially enjoyed the part where Chris is drilling out the welds and removing the damaged piece. Looking forward to seeing the next installment
great job Rob & Chris, loving the party hat Chris at the end.
Nice to see an expert at work, at least we got to see live how much work goes into it and the skills that are needed to remove a panel👍👍
Two great genuine men
My favourite RUclips channel 🎉
Rob's catchphrase is "It is what it is..." Salvage Rebuilds UK,
Another master class of how to repair cars properly. Handy tips from Chris all the way. Volvos are built to last, but as you say the parts are very expensive. This will be a fantastic motor for someone safe in the knowledge it has been repaired right👍😎
thankyou gentlemen,,great content,
and what a nice gesture the fella dropping off the bumper,,👏👍
It's great that you guy's have invested heavily in decent equipment like a jig etc to measure up and repair vehicles correctly, Also Chris' panel beating skills help a lot! There's a lot of RUclips channels now with guys buying heavily damaged vehicles and just beating them out by eye and a lump hammer!
it's always a pleasure to watch Chris work,the chap's a brilliant fabricator.
Rob and Chris really liked this video Chris shows us he is the master of repairs and you the master of replacement parts can’t wait to see what’s on the back of your truck.😊
to see chris working his magic is always amazing great work
Yve both said before about the salvage game, you win some, you lose some, you lost one the cassis damage but won on the pump price, as ever great explanation from Chris on the spot welding 👍
Chris you are becoming an educational superstar.
Was that classic car weekly you used for masking that frame area?? So spot weld drills you use high speed yes. I thought slowly drilling on metal was the winner? Cheers boys.
Is it Chris’s birthday again love the party hat 😅😅 always a pleasure to watch Chris at work and Rob treasure hunting for parts and bargains a great team that gets the work done. Thanks Rob and Chris Tom
Fantastic work as always gentlemen. Thank you.
I thought I was watching the thunderbirds at 19:29 in this video! 🤣
18:45 Love the party hat Chris. 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Please wear some glasses or goggles Chris, that spot weld removal looked like the start of an episode of casualty 😂😂
Great video as always guys. However a rare criticism...Chris...no eye protection!!!
What is on the truck is intriguing. At £10k bids it has to be something a bit special. The engine is not in the car, it sounds badly damaged. It is either a top of the range late model car or could it be a bit of exotica???? Can hardly wait.
Volvo parts are expensive. I used to get all my bits from Eurospares who always seemed to have Volvo parts at good prices.
Have a good weekend guys. Cheers, Bob
Welkom to salvage rebuilds VOLVO shop.
Brilliant video I like the way you explain everything Rob and Chris
if a bloke is prepared to drink/drive, then flee from the coppers, being economical with the truth is probably second nature...
worried about the oil leak from the g/box, or is it a loose cooler hose
excellent vid chaps, as always
@grimehubtv7708 it was the old boy they bought it off 'son-in-law' that did the drink driving/chase/crash, the owner had nothing to do with that part, he is just the poor soul left to pick up the pieces
18:44 Nice hat Chris! "Just like that" as Tommy Cooper would say 😅
I just love your work ethos of do it properly and thoroughly it's so honest!👍👍👍
13:30 Landrover bottle jack. Always useful to have in the workshop. And block of wood.
@ 19.00 onwards he looks like a extra from "Thunderbirds"
You have done well with the new water pump Rob a stroke of luck there! Shame about the hidden chassis damage but as usual Chris stepped up to the mark. It may be that the body shop just didn't fancy doing the extra work but we will never know. This job is taking a bit longer than you first thought but as you said with the tyres, ' if a job's worth doing it is worth doing right'. I wouldn't expect anything less from you Two. Thanks for another great video and have a good weekend Rob and Chris. 👍👍
Hi. Rob you and Chris are amzing at doing fixing cars
Once had a front UCA go on my Lexus LS400, Lexus wanted £517.00 but like you guys found the same QEM one on eBay brand new for £115.00, couldn’t have hit that “Buy it now” button any quicker 😀 Great video again.
Volvo OEM parts have always been very expensive. Back in the late 70s, I had a 245 Estate and changed the plug leads for OEM from the local dealer. They cost me around £20+ at the time and that was expensive at that time.
I liked Chris's Party Hat at the end! 🥳
Chris a absolute legend
That Poly-Vee belt from Volvo is crazy money guys. Instead I'd recommend that you check out the Gates catalogue which, I'm pretty certain, would give you the specification e.g. 4PKxxxx or 5PKyyy etc. Thereafter a tenner should be all you need to spend.
I think your mad not to wear safety glasses whilst drilling out the spot welds,it's no fun when it goes in your eye and goes rusty and you need to go to a and e for the big magnet
Or fluorescein eye drops, a blue slit lamp and the end of a hypodermic needle to pick the rusty fragment from the surface of your cornea. People describe the feeling of having a brick in your eye, even after removal as the corneal abrasion takes time to heal. So wear eye protection, people!
Chris is sat in that chair like a boss.😎
Great skillful work from you both again & a nice hat but the sound quality on your video could definitely do with a little adjustment guy's.
Take care & stay safe
Chris
Much respect
Pl wear eye protection
Engineering first principles !
Your eyesight is more important than fixing a Volvo
Love you guys you know that !
Well done Chris another master class in body repair
Great video Rob/Chris,
Chris working his magic as usual 👌👍
