It's that Merv sang most of his parts in his natural voice. he has a very strong second tenor. For that fact, so does David .. Makes for very versatile voicings.
I lived in Munich 1990! How did I not know about this?!! Ah well, I may be slow to the party, but grateful for this excellent time machine--thanks for posting ;0)
Claude sings 90% of the song at the top note but Mervyn takes over at the really really high whistle notes. When Mervyn left Claude did all the high notes for a while but then David took over where Mervyn left off and is now doing all the whistle notes
I was given a copy of this tape in 1990. First time ever I heard Christian music could be cool.
Mervyn and Claude transition so seamlessly. Greatest boy band EVER!
This is one of they _illest_ records, especially when they get near the end. Merv was gettin' them octaves.
Überragend und das live gesungen. Absolut phantastisch!
Unbelievably tight! And this is before they had in-ear monitors...God bless 'em!
It’s absolutely fascinating to hear them sing this live, having treasured the studio recording for so many years. Thanks for posting!
Mervyn swooping up to a ridiculously high note at 3:43!!
E6!!!
My mom is the one introduced me to this song.
My favorite 😍 a cappella group of All time!👏🏾👏🏾 them and Manhattan Transfer!
This cassette got me through Army training👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🥰🥰🎶🎶🎶
The most vocal group im the world

JJDPRO MEDIAPRODUCTION yes they do . I love when they sing !
Facts
I think he left the group shortly after this.
@@handsomeXMervyn left after their second album in 1990 (so much to say) .... Mark Kibbles brother, Joey, replaced him that year...
ABSOLUTELY Amazing breath control
Merv is classic!!

excellent arrangement in take 6 voices can make 🎵 go in different ranges of voices.
TJ
you can feel the power of the voice on so many godly levels ❤
Incredible
Truly blessed by the Father!!
😢❤
DAve's part is amazing! Mark Kibble: I don't know where that comes from. Only Our Lord.
Now we talking...32 years later...
One of my favorite...Thanx!
Mr merv warren them highs was the best at this!
Holy flip!❤❤❤
Camera you couldn't zoom in on Mervyn on the high note?
🔥🔥
Goosebumps
Because we can.
Joey kibble caught up a little but merv was a beast on vocals
I can't position the tonality at times but it is still great!
I make no apologies. The original lineup had the tightest sound. Joey and Khristian do their thang, but...
IM SORRY BUT THAT IS A CUT& A 1/2!!! LOOK OUT NOW!!!😉😉😉😎😎😎
Mervin Warren. This song is yours
who the highest note at the end was it Claude or Merv? i know that from time it changes from Claude to Merv and to Dave
kasonde katongo in this video it's Mervyn doing the extra high notes at the end.
Claude sings 90% of the song at the top note but Mervyn takes over at the really really high whistle notes. When Mervyn left Claude did all the high notes for a while but then David took over where Mervyn left off and is now doing all the whistle notes
Merv
In this video it was Merv
Claude is the falsetto of the group. 🎤😸
Why is there such a big gap between Mervyn and Claude?
Is your question based on one of them being off or just in general?
It was their staging assignments. The two Tallest Claude and Dave (Center) . Two smallest ( Mark and Merv) flanked stage left.. Spacing.
I think it's Marks levels not being mixed in properly (if you are talking sound - which I assume you are as I've seen/heard your work Sedrick)
@@Butho_04 Thank you for checking out my work.
@@SJRogers0786 Good to you bro here
This is "Get away Jordan"
Thank you for your comment! We've already changed the mistake
I think Mervyn left the group shortly after this.
