Live performance at the Philharmonie in Munich at the Klaviersommer 1990 with the fabulous vocalists Mark Kibble, Claude V. McKnight, Cedrik Dent, David Thomas, Mervyn Warren, and Alvin Chea.
Mervin and Cedric were like the salt and pepper to get the sound we came to love and recognize. We miss them. Long live TAKE 6
so true
Big mistake that they left
always appreciate an audience that claps on the 2 4
This concert feels like a conversation they're having amongst themselves
The best vocal group of all time across any genre of music.
They were at their best with Mervyn, man. His arrangements had those ridiculously magical chord changes. They still sound great today, but Mervyn added that extra sauce. Songs like "A Quiet Place" in this late 80's/early 90's period still send me somewhere else
Mervyn Warren. All true.
a quiet place is my favorite! you should check out the new recording
I agree wasn't the same without him
Yessss to this
Actually Mark Kibble is the most gifted in musical arrangements and is the One Most responsible for their sound, as well as their Best vocalist. Ask anyone of them including Mervyn. Also, Cedric is the Most advanced in music theory, and also has a PH. D in music theory. He is responsible for a number of there Most popular songs!
It's nice to hear Cedrics part..very clever and intricate .
Bro.. I was just about to comment on that. I've never heard his part that clearly. I was surprised at some of the resolve notes in his part.
Hallelujah I thoroughly enjoyed it
Yeah that’s what I immediately thought of. Prominent Baritone part that I had a harder time discerning on the original album back in the day but respected it nevertheless. Great stuff.
Wowww.... Thank you so much for this.... Damn i miss this lineup with mervyn warren.....
Excellent ❤
Yessssss !!! WE NEED YOU GUYS TO GET IT TOGETHER AND BRING THE SOUND OF THE LORD BACK. RIGHT NOW💞💞💞
WOW!!! So happy to bump into this live performance!!!
That run Merv hit @2:53...bruh
Merv is singing some crazy intervals. ridiculous
That audience clapping is brutal. As usual.
Woooooow! Shout out to whoever mixed this!!!! Absolute perfection!!! Take 6 opened my mind and ear to a whole new world of music! I thank God for them!

Oooh, I've never seen this before. What a treat. Them brothas could sang. And, at the drop of a dime. Never any excuses. It's a shame that they kicked po' Merv up on outta the group. I feel like the group needed his range.
they did?
They didnt kick mervyn out...nor did they kick cedric dent out either....they chose to pursue other musical and professional interests....mervyn focused on songwriting and producing....cedric pursued his doctorate and is a professor.
Wow
Mervywn shoulda stayed
He left to become a producer
There would be no joey if he would've stayed
Mervyn sits with Claude McKnight and told him that's why he left. He wanted to be a producer, something he couldn't accomplish when with Take 6, being a new group, a hot commodity, you had no time to do anything else and it was eating him up.
Just focus on Mervyn it’s crazy
What's the hymn they singing
This german audience seem to be spanish, clapping instead of listening.
Just in case, I'm spanish.
0:20 skrrt
Mervyn and Cedric should have stayed. SMH
