Thanks for this piece of Kiss Gold! It's also great to have the complete songs in the context of this interview. I remember at this time that it wasn't that easy at all to know what Kiss were doing (compared to now)... so we would go down to the local grocery store newsstand to find 16 Magazine, Circus, etc., and these interviews were so exciting at the time and still great today. Just hearing any member of Kiss talk on the radio back then was a major event and quite rare! Thanks and Happy NY!
WOW! Thanx Mike, 'cause it brings me back when I was 12. I remember, I was in my bedroom listening to CHOM FM, as always, when suddenly I heard Beth, and then, Gene was talking with Bobby. I was so excited to hear that interview, though I didn't speak a single world in english, LOL! I didn't have a clue about the show at the Montreal Forum, but 2 years later, it was my first and last one with the original lineup!
Kiss owes Peter a lot for boosting the popularity of the band by creating a song that had such mass appeal & created worldwide media buzz in their early days
Wow, a very cool piece of nostalgia, as this was the time where radio and music magazines were basically the only way to keep track of your favorite bands, along with TV shows like The Midnight Special and Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. Awesome interview and thank you for uploading it !!!
I bet it was, your lucky! Ace details some pretty interesting and awesome after party stories there in his book. Episodes that most men can only dream about.😊
If that bothers you, you need to really evaluate what is important in your life. Ace isn’t in the interview, it is only Gene. Go drink your blue kool aid somewhere else.
Think about it, Andy--if The Tool hadn't done that, Kool-Aid chuggers like you would have nothing to hate on, thus robbing me of the opportunity to hop on here and roll my eyes right back at *you*. This way everybody can have some fun! 😁 Thanks for uploading this, Mike--happy 2024 to you and yours!🤘🏻

The KISS “mission statement” of putting on concerts that they always wanted to see, has never changed. Ace had to have believed in it once. For Peter, he was a huge Dino Danelli fan and if you watch videos of The Rascals, can see Dino’s influence on Peter (the stick twirling and playing Dino did was unbelievable)way more so than Krupa. Hoping more 70s era radio interviews surface - but the “holy grail” is the interview KISS and Wayne County did in the early days, not sure if that was for radio though.
not quite ordinary ...humans ...anymore :) great clip! Compared to recent '79 radio clip from Chicago, Gene sounds like the only sane one in the band, which is a revelation. And to his credit, he sounds exactly the same now! Same vibe, voice. Thanks for sharing!!!
How times have changed....Gene: We have an obligation to the audience to put on a great show, they’re paying just as much for a ticket as they pay for the album.”

Thank you Bob Ezrin.
Thank you for sharing this, KISS ARMY soldier since 1976 , hard to believe The End of the Road has come and gone, everyone have a great 2024
This is awesome. Even though we know Gene is just in typical PR mode, it is still intriguing to hear his responses.
Wow! Looking forward to hearing this; CHOM is our local rock station here in Montreal 😁
DID YOU GO TO THE SHOW
@@pokeysue8988 Unfortunately, I was only 3 years old in 1977 🙃

This is the best Gene interview ive heard in 30 years its before everything got polluted and he started to bend the truth
You just had to post the CHOM logo right over Ace, didn't you.
Ugh.
Eye roll.

Happy New year kiss army, thank you Michael for sharing
As a Canadian, LOVED it when Gene commented on how beautiful he thought the women were in Montreal. It's so true!
Great time capsule back to a memorable and fantastic year!

Correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't this interview on the LOVE GUN DELUXE?
This interview must have been when Cheap Trick opened for KISS thru the Canada and western swing of the United States.

Único com o pé no chão e o Paul Stanley sem ele o KISS não presta com certeza ❤
Anything is possible. We may even become Avatars
