Love is definitely Joe's best love interest to date, and Victoria played her to perfection, showing her vulnerable nature alongside her villainy.
Forty was her mom's fav child while the father didn't give a damn about any of his kids so Love framed Forty since she knew he would have an easier time getting away with it than she would had since she didn't had any of her parents side while forty had his mom's side.
That's not a reason to kill someone, she could have wounded or scared Sophia but not downright kill her, but we are forgetting one thing : Love was herself a child so she was thinking like one
Can You Do Your Honor Season 2 Please Just Subbed 🎉
Neverr , she chose a man over women whom were victimized by him . Typical narc mother.
Yes, and I lost interest in the show after she died.
Victoria Pedretti’s portrayal of Love was nothing short of stellar. She is so incredibly talented
Totally agree! She was fantastic in this role!
One of the most beautiful women in the world!❤
Joe is obsessive and calculated while Love is possessive and impulsive. Joe had not accepted who he is at the time, he hated that part of himself and Love mirrored exactly that. That is why he couldn’t accept her.
So true
Thing is he murdered Beck for not accepting his monstrous side and loving him back. Love exactly did that and it still wasn’t enough for him and in the end he murdered her.
Which he did in the end anyway, accepted himself. If he did it a season earlier, Love might've survived.
What Joe is really seeking is a sense of redemption through getting the acceptance and forgiveness of a woman that reminds him of his mom.
Therefore, the woman has to be innocent herself, unlike Love. Or at least, she has to aim to be good and keep him good, like that British girl in the last season. (Even if it’s just a fantasy they are both tripping on, while actually becoming worse of course)
Love never even understood that Joe wanted to stop killing people (allegedly). She couldn’t offer him the illusion of redemption he sought.
But Love is also obsessive, whereas Joe is also impulsive.
I personally believe that Love killed for the purpose of family, she killed the Au Pair because of her threat to Forty, who was her family. She killed Delilah and Candace because she started to see Joe as her family and they were threatening that, she killed all the others in s4 bcus of their threat to her family, and then in those last moments, Joe wasn’t her family anymore, so she tried to kill him to keep her and Henry (her family) together.
@raquelfrombarbie9002 I agree 100% I think this video is unfair and sort of biased. By season 4 there’s no room for doubt joe is a worse person than Love ever was, especially since he only ever truly feels guilty for Beck and doesn’t even mention Henry(forty) or the mother of his son throughout. Joe’s heart had gone completely cold after killing his wife and subsequently losing his family seeing how he just up and walked away after covering it up. While Loves heart was always warm for her family and ruthless towards anyone she deemed a threat to her family unit. I’m not saying she made the “right” choices. She should’ve just killed joe instead of Delilah and Candace but in her mind her baby needed the “perfect” family to make it in life. And she thought the father was so essential to that family. That a father who threatens the mothers life ( he tried to kill her first at the end of season two and she still wanted to marry him and raise the baby) would somehow be a better childhood than just being a single mother.
I think really her trying to kill Joe was impulsive.
She killed completely innocent people outside of the au pair come on now
Didn’t she murder her husband because he didn’t want to be with her anymore?
yes, but she literally said she didn't mean to. she was trying to paralyze him so they could talk it through but she screwed up the dosage
I don't care how crazy she was, I just love Victoria in all acting she made so far
I always felt so bad for her first husband James. He seemed really gentle :(
Yeah I totally get what you mean!
I would love to see a spinoff of You that had James Kennedy in a main role. I want to know about the kind of person James was before meeting Love and throughout their relationship and eventual marriage.
Despite Love being an insane murderer, it's hard not to agree with her point that her and Forty's au pair was taking advantage of him, since he was a minor at the time, and that their parents were wrong for allowing their "relationship" to continue.
Yeah but she pinned the murder on forty. He was forever broken because of Love, and not because of the au pair
@@jenlindley7780 Thank you for saying this.
@@danitori3452 You're welcome
I am sure she pinned the dead au pair on Forty, because she knew he would hate her forever. For him it was true love and not abuse. He would leave Love If he knew the truth.
I am wondering If she did it, because he was more dependant after that event or because she knew he would leave her or because of their mother. What was the primal motivation?
The mother seemed always like "You protects your brother. That's your only job." Maybe she thought her parents would "forgive" her brother, but not her. Or the "You protects him"-stuff came after the murder and because her mother knew instantly the truth?
Maybe I didn't noticed something.
No I think Dottie knew that Love killed the au pair, she has good intuition and remember Dottie was the one warned Joe that Love killed her first husband
"We're all a little broken. Yet, some pieces manage to fit together."
Love killed because of her deep-seated psychological issues and a desire for control. It becomes clear that Love has a history of trauma and mental illness, and struggles with her identity and self-worth. She also has a strong need for control, which is evident in her obsessive behavior towards Joe and her manipulative tendencies.
Ultimately, Love kills in order to maintain her control over Joe and to protect her family. She sees her actions as necessary and justified, as she believes she is doing what is best for the people she loves. However, her actions are ultimately driven by her own selfish desires and a distorted view of reality, which makes her a dangerous and unpredictable character.
I love this analysis ❤️❤️
ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT! Scary AF how many people think the events turned her into a sociopath, as if her response was in ANY WAY reasonable.
As I've mentioned to others, NORMAL people want to protect loved ones, but they don't go around killing people to do it. Also, IF she did it out of love for her brother, she wouldn't have pinned the murder on him, crippling him with guilt for the rest of her life, making him dependent on her.
Best character. Wouldn't mind a mini series based on her.
So true!
In a better timeline, Joe would have died at the end of Season 3 and Season 4 would have been Love working as a patissier in a Michelin Star restaurant and single mom, while spiraling into unabashed misandry.
This is a brilliant idea
Love didnt deserve to die she just wanted true love like Joe. And what really hurts is that at the end of season 4 Joe became the man Love wanted him to be all along. 100% the best character in You.
I was JUST saying that!!
But the people she killed deserved to die?? This just doesn't matter and love should live her happy life?
Yeah y’all say anything lmaooo
Um no she did deserve to die. So does Joe😂
@@lovanawh3858i stopped liking love when i found out she was the one who killed delilah but i started to love her even more and i started to hate joe
Broken or not, she was the real icon. Such a queen.
She was iconic in this show for sure!
She stole the show in season 2 for sure. Season 3 she was even more chaotic, it was cool to see her clash with Joe
a quinn*
THAT'S what you think a QUEEN is?
Get help.
Unfortunately this actress with her personality that gets out through the role no matter what role plays could never make me have bad feelings for her or wish her harm. She is like the ultimate enfj. She has a lovely personality and even in sick twisted roles she still manages to be endearing and sweet.
Absolutely. I'm not familiar with her other work, but I've seen her in interviews and she has such charisma. I was so happy to see her reprise her role in season 4, even if it was just in Joe's fever dream.
Yeah she’s lovely in real life, very sweet. And she’s very talented and so pretty. Love was an amazing character.
@@c.k.mcknight8921 Sounds like she is really sweet 💖
@@c.k.mcknight8921 I definitely recommend seeing her act in the Haunting of Hill House & Bly Manor series!
I’m an enfj 🙂
I really like how the shows portrayed that money doesn’t solve everything and you can still have a bad childhood I think lives character was amazing
I don't think the show was portraying that as much as it was showing how entitled a lot of rich people are, and that many of them are not good people or deserving of all that wealth. Money can solve a lot of things, but many of the people who end up wealthy are selfish, bratty, entitled, and narcissistic. Many of our rich elites are like this in real life.
As someone with family that has struggled with poverty and family that got lucky and became more well off- poverty is traumatizing in itself. It is a trauma. People who grew up poor are forever scarred by it.
But other things besides poverty can also be traumatizing. It’s just that if you have money, the situation will be better.
One layer that complicates this is who *has the money. If you are the child of rich parents you don’t have any actual wealth, other than what they are willing to extend to you. If the owners of the wealth are abusive, it’s actually more difficult to escape, as their wealth gives them more power.
Life is complex.
I thought that the reason Love didn't kill Marriene was because her kid showed up and she didn't want to orphan her child? Either way, I think you did a great job on the analysis! I would love to see a video dedicated to breaking down specific scenarios and why Love reacted the ways she did. :)
That was one of the main reasons along with convincing her that Joe made out that Love and him were separated! Glad you enjoyed the video :)
Victoria Pedretti is such a good actress!!
Totally agree!
Love is is such a phenomenal character, and Pedretti knocked it out of the park. She deserved at least a nomination for an Emmy.
Yeah she was great in this role!
Sophia- molested Forty
Candace ane Delilah- they were about to send Joe to prison
Gail(if it's his name)- made Henry sick
Natalie- was about to cheat with Joe
In conclusion, she killed only people who were a threat to her family or her loved one's,no matter if any of them were innocent
That doesn't make her a good person
Let's not forget she ruined Theo and Ellie's lives (two teenagers) and killed her ex husband simply because he wanted to leave her
@@naoseimesmon9357 she didn’t kill james on purpose
WTF is wrong with you?
I think what's really interesting about Love's decision to kill Joe, is the implication that if Joe had simply *included* her in his hobby of violating Marianne's privacy, she would have happily supported him, participated even. The betrayal was that Joe wanted to be awful, but he didn't want to be awful with her.
Basically Love is just like Joe, minus the obsessional part and waaaay more impulsive
Very true!
Joe is very obsessive u can tell by how he collects things from people he “love” or idolize
Not really, Joe is a true psychopath like Ted Bundy. Love is a sociopath. She has the ability to feel empathy, but she's very destructive and violent when she gets emotional. Joe doesn't even understand what the word "love" means. He showed no emotional when killing love. once he has a new woman to prey on, he'll kill the one he was supposed to love and feel nothing after doing it. As if she was just a toy that he got bored of. Joe is worse.
Love was right about the Au Pair, but not necessary. James, Delilah, and Candace were innocent. Natalie too, to a certain point. Gil took his life because of a “push” by Love. Love killed more innocent people then Joe has, however, that doesn’t make her crazier because, unlike Joe, those killings were impulsive and rash. While Joe’s were mostly premeditated.
I think the biggest problem with love is that she sets other people up because she thinks they’ll be free but she doesn’t account for the trauma/aftermath and the fact that not everyone is as privileged as her. She made forty believe he killed the au pair (even if he knew it was her as implied, he’d still feel guilty) and whether it was guilt or ‘heartbreak’ he consumed a ton drvgs because it reminded him of Sophie (who’s still a rpists so I don’t feel that bad). Killed Delilah and Candice only confessed when she realized Joe was gonna leave, planned to blame Ellie in exchange for ‘Feminist’ Fame and then slaughtered people who endangered her image of a wholesome family. Don’t get me wrong love was my favorite character but girl was a maternal monster and on her way to become her mom with a killer’s instinct.
Love kills out of nowhere really impulsively while Joe sets up a plan 6 months beforehand with a backup plan and a backup plan for the backup plan lol
They’re both murderers and hence both bad
I hate when she killed Delilah!
Except she wasn't right about the au pair. She didn't REALLY see the au pair ass a threat to her brother, but a threat to HER. She was a co-dependent sociopath. Protecting her brother from emotional damage was the last thing on her mind as evidence by the fact that she framed him for the murder SHE committed, which emotionally crippled him for life.
SEE? Zero fucks given for her brother's wellbeing. Actually, she's GLAD he's emotionally crippled, as now he'll forever be dependent on her.
Obsession and control are all she has. The exact opposites of love.
What I don’t get is why Love had an affair with Theo if she cared so much about her family? I know Joe was neglecting her, so I guess Love just needed validation so strongly that even she herself would threaten her family for it?
Caring about something doesn’t always mean it’s your first priority. Both Love and Joe were selfish people, thus despite caring about their family couldn’t prioratise it over themselves.
Honestly I think that it was just because the writers needed to villainise her more 😭
However, it probably also has something to do with after being ignored and shut out by her husband for so long, someone finally truly loved her, which made her feel appreciated and happy- even if it was just for a moment
Despite this, I still think that she would’ve never slept with him, she’s in my opinion more likely to fool herself into acting like Theo was Forty to deal with his death
She doesn't care about ANYBODY but herself. Look at what she did to her brother, all under the guise of "protecting" him.
Someone commenting on another video made a good point - Love claimed she just wanted to keep James there to talk to him... He's deaf so he signs lol how exactly did she expect him to communicate if he's paralyzed?
Maybe she wanted to talk TO him, but not with him
@@marleyf8230 my immediate response is "how does she expect to mend their relationship if she only talks AT him?" But then I remember it's Love and she's nuts lol
@@marleyf8230 I was gonna say she may have a very one sided view of what "talking to" someone means lmao
He wasn't deaf, he was mute. You can see him reply through hand gestures whenever love talked.
@@maira3681 Well I assumed he read lips. But whether he's deaf or mute, he signs to communicate.
Love was hot but she definitely was a sociopath
Love was batshit crazy at least she knew it and she didn’t hide it to her self but Joe did try to justify everything 🤣 & even went crazy making a villain in his own head to feel better
My fave seasons were the ones with love
Yeah she was great!
Same
I’ve been living for these analyses videos of You
Glad you enjoy them!
She played that part so good if I seen her on real life I'll be afraid to look to hard 😂
Watching this just make you realise how to take care of your child and how childhood is really important for a kid ❤
I was hoping she and Joe would work it out in season three. They were cute in season two.
I hate how he finally met someone who could understand him on a deeper level who he didn’t have to hide stuff from…JUST to immediately move on and resent her for having a similar side for herself. He wants “innocent” women who need protection. He couldn’t handle Love which isn’t her fault. Love genuinely loved him and he just judged and pushed her away. Moved onto the next prissy, beautiful woman with issues. She deserved to live. She would’ve been a beautiful mother and I think and would’ve raised him better and killed less so she could avoid prison and stay with him. It wouldn’t be MUCH better writing. I’m sick of Joe!
@@erynpoulin8151 UR SO RIGHT ITS LIKE HE ONLY WANTS INNOCENT PERFECT WOMEN THAT FIT HIS IMAGINATION OF THEM ENTIRELY. @@erynpoulin8151Specially when he killed Beck for not doing what Love did, loving him back despite everything.
What agitated me even more that in season he finally accepted the person he is,which Love constantly told him to do.
I love Victoria Pedretti performance as Love Quinn. My favorite scene from season 2 is when she revealed herself. I love how unhinged she becomes in season 3! I shit my pants when Love showed up in season 4!
Yeah I think she's a great character in the show!
S3 of YOU was really all about love Victoria was very amazing slaying throughout the season.
Love your analysis videos. I would love to see you do a breakdown on the main character of the show swarm. I think you could break it down very well.
Thanks a lot! Yes, that’s a great show with a great character to breakdown!
I want this show to end with Love's child grown up and searching for his mom's killer, and killing Joe to take revenge for his mom, who he was raised to believe was a kind and loving person that had a bakeryshop. All while his research about his dad more and more confirms that he was a sketchy man that had several people die in his circle, getting a lot of his hints by Delilah's sister.
I LOVED HER
Another excellent analysis. Thank you!
Much appreciated!
Bpd and narcissism, generally expressed by women and men respectively. Love and Joe were perfect for each other
I would love to see an analysis about Joe and his son, in the most recent season, it seemed that he just wanted to forget about his child. He was more focused on women
And Love rightly warned Marianne.
The absolute QUEEN OF LOVE
Joe is obsessive and calculated while Love is possessive and impulsive. Joe had not accepted who he was at the time, he hated that part of himself and Love mirrored exactly that. That is why he couldn’t accept her. Though, I have to say Love's acting was impeccable!!
she gave everything she can give to joe and he ends up cheating, what love did was just the result of Joe's fuck ups 🤷
She killed Candace and Delilah because they wanted to turn Joe in. He didn't cheat with them.
She also killed that guy because he didn't get his children vaccinated, so they passed on their flu or whatever to the baby.
That had nothing to do with Joe.
Did we watch the same show?
She checked out and cheated first! I swear y’all just be defending any woman no matter her actions. If anything Joe tried to give her everything bc he pushed his urges down until he couldn’t ignore them anymore and yet he still respected Love as his wife and mother to his child. Love just tried to blame all her unhappiness onto Joe when she was the cause of the chaos in her marriage and her own unhappiness.
@@biancamcflurry9206 joe literally cheated on their neighbor when they moved there, thats the first he did. what are you saying
@@realeyesrealize099ikr loooool it was LITERALLY the first thing he did 💀
I was just shook when I read the books and it was a completely different story and Love was like the complete opposite to in the show 😅
Yeah I read what happened in the book and it was completely different - sounded more brutal which surprised me after watching the show!
They are very similar...both sociopaths....Love accept that she is sick, Joe live in delusion that is is doing the right thing, this is why he can not love Love, she is the mirror of himself. He only accept who he is in season 4 at the end, when he finally accept that he is murderer and that he enjoys it, sociopath. Dangerous and sick man. Season 5 should be the last one, he gets killed, by revenge or self defense or he ends up in jail or mental hospital... we will see. He can not have happy ending, monsters do not get one.
Hmmm, very interesting character analysis. The only thing I disagree on is why she was going to kill Joe. I don't think, at that moment, she worried about him finding happiness without her. I think she was going to do it because she knew Joe, she would constantly have to spend the rest of her life, looking over her shoulder if she let him live. And, I think she also wanted to protect Marienne in a way from him. It's the same for both of them. They never would have been able to split up peacefully. One of them would have to die to prevent the other one from being haunted. And, even if they did just try to live their lives, that worry and anxiety would still be there.
Just finished watching season 3 and damn. That was tragic at the end. Love Quinn might bet new favorite character.
Definitely was!
GREAT VIDEO
Thanks!
i suggest you focus on her anxious attachment next time if you revist this topic

She is a great character!
Honestly I think that if Joe met Love at the end of season 4, after he accepted himself for the sicko he really is, he’s much more likely to be accepting of Love too.
The thing is, in season 3 Joe still believed that he was doing the right thing, protecting everyone he cared about, no matter what the cost. It was for the greater good right? He thought his actions were justified, which is why he couldn’t deal with Love when he saw a mirror of himself. We can kind of see throughout season 4 that he is disgusted by this darker side of him, how it repulses him. This is why I think he fell out of love with Love in the first place, because she was everything he hated about himself, and he simply couldn’t deal with it.
I am pretty sure that Love Quinn's Broken Mind is not in me.

Love Quinn Supremacy
Victoria was amazing
Yeah hands down one of the best performers in the show!
I think the best case scenario would be Love is still alive and they both choose to ‘stay good’. because they truly are soulmates
That would be a big twist!
I feel like a lot of you are trying to empathize with Love and romanticize her the same way people do Joe simply bc her reason’s for killing. She’s still a bad person. She’s still a murderer. She made her own brother believe he was a murderer instead of herself. She is not any better than Joe. Her character is created that way on purpose. Male serial killers and female serial killers differ from each other in a lot of ways. They’re still serial killers at the end of the day. And I feel like a lot of people refuse to really see that she’s still a dangerous and messed up individual and anyone empathizing with her is concerning
Finally someone said it , these people really believe she deserved a happy ending lol
I feel like it would've been sweeter if they were totally in love and killing people together
People love Love because the actress is so beautiful.
