I am discovering the variety and value in tasty rum after coming from bourbons where prices are going up faster than quality. As a young adult it was Bacardi silver or Goslings and I never tried others until recently. I have really been enjoying sipping Probitas/Veritas since finding it a couple months ago and don't mind using it as a mixer as I can buy a bottle for $33usd. Would Probitas fit as a lightly aged pot still rum, lightly aged blended rum, does it necessarily matter for home use when it tastes as good as it does? I saw your video titled "watch this before stocking your bar at home" going through the Smugglers Cove book and am wondering how many of those categories Probitas can fill in my bar. * I don't have many local bars which carry a large amount of rums to visit so my options are limited if I want to try before buying.
Do you know what... I've just coke some more Coke Zero... but i still have some PM... I'm gonna do a Head to Head taster...cos i haven't done it for years. But in my 20s and 30s when i could handle Fizz, i was ALWAYS Pepsi over Coke!
@@StevetheBarmanUK A Coke Zero vs Pepsi Max head to head would be a great little video to watch. I think flavour wise Pepsi Max wins it. Coke Zero is nice when it’s freezing cold but it seems to leave a steange after taste for me as soon as it starts to lose it’s ice cold chill

Pepsi Max for me is the best sugar free “cola” around. Far far better than Coke zero equivilant

Not a fan of Veritas, no fruit IMO. Not a Jamaican. Tasted by itself and made a 40’s Mai Tai. I really have no use for it.
For some reason, I’ve never revisited it either. Obvs didn’t leave that greater impression on me.
