    Steve, I am equally shocked, but unless someone is willing to make one of those 17-year limited editions available to me, I am also using less Appleton Estate, either in cocktails or for sipping. I got my first Hampden bottle about a month ago and it was a real eye-opener in more ways than one 😆

    Hello Steve. I really like Véritas, which is both fruity and delicious with a good ABV. A blend of WP109 and Worthy Park Estate 50/50 could be interesting but I don't have the WP Estate to test. I tried a Mai Tai with Rum Artesanal blended Burke's Seamaster Jamaica Barbados which was delicious

    $25 dollars here in Cali. K&L and Remedy both have it. It makes the best Daiquiri's and not a bad sipper in a pinch

    Probitas is my first choice for Daquiris. It's not where I chose to go with a Mai Tai. It's a fabulous bottle.= and in the high $20s in my area (Austin, TX).

    I just paid $36USD for my Probitas in Florida. For me, I love Worthy Park 109 if I can only have one rum in my Mai Tai.

    Hi Steve! Just one question-Princess of Admiral or Forgotten Casks? Which one is smoother and softer and has more aroma?

    Steve, not sure if you can get it outside of the US but there is a rum we have called The Funk. Distilled in Jamiaca. bottled in Kentucky. 100 proof so a bit more approachable than the Wray and Nephew. $24 US. Worth a try if you can find it.

    Nice breakdown and recap Steve. Excited for the 2 & 3 blend series (if your doing that haha). In terms of Appleton, I would say I don’t tend to group with Hampden, Worthy Park etc.. due to the Blend Rum vs Pot Still Rum differences. However, I am curious to see which situations you’d incorporate Appleton 12 vs the likes of the Plantation Xaymaca. For example, for a Planters Punch I always tend to go for the App 12 whereas maybe a Kingston Negroni I’d go for the Xaymaca

    Just an idea: it would be nice to have a short sum up video for the great series instead of that bit at the end of this video. What you said is helpful, but I think it deserves its own video

      Yeah. It’s coming if you listened to the newer videos…I’m still waiting for Worthy Park Select which I should actually get hold of tonight! 🤞THEN I can sum up

    Would 0.5 oz of Plantation OFTD still improve the Worthy Park 109 and Hampden like it does with the Xaymaca?

    • @StevetheBarmanRumReviews
      @StevetheBarmanRumReviews  11 месяцев назад

      I actually wouldn’t do OFTD with Worthy 109. I’d do 109 (45ml) with something like Xaymaca (15ml) BUT…I am gonna play a bit more cos that’s just a theory at the moment.

    AUD$80 here in the land downunder. Any reason why the US market has a different name for it?

      Probitas was already a Trademark in the UK/EU for something else.
