lol the fact that Vogel wanted to get a point guard and the front office said no and now they trying make vogel the scapegoat is hilarious

I agree with Jay Will. People put so much emphasis on these athletes winning that they end up bashing the athlete and coming up with their own narratives such as "KD has never found happiness". He a grown man with a family, I'm sure he's found happiness in his life. Quotes like this make the players seem like their whole lives are basketball and even though they're professionals, I promise they have lives outside too.
Does KD legitimately make any team a contender at point in his career? He looks a step slower although can still get you a bucket.

Been trying to tell people that KD isn’t that guy. Like Barkley said, he’s not a bus driver. True, he’s one of the best players to ever play the game but he’s not LeBron, he’s not Steph, he’s not Kobe, nor Jordan. All those guys are the very thing KD isn’t. KD never should’ve left Golden State.
There are some roles in military, team captain and sniper who is deathly on offense. KD was that DEATH on offense. He forgot his role because his skin is thin.
True! Durant is more like Scottie Pippen (who won with Jordan and Jackson, but could not win in Houston or Portland as the main guy). If KD wants to win one more ring before retiring, he just needs to join forces with Lebron and add one more star player to the mix with a solid bench! That will do it.

I have no trouble "ignoring those titles"
The Suns and the Hawks need to make some switches
Pretty much he should've stayed in GSW in 2019. With him they had enough to win two more, in 2022 and 2023. Might even be very competitive in 2021.
yeah but that organization also destroyed his achilles in 2019 by playing him in the finals before he was ready
Nope it was better for the nba when he left only warriors fans enjoyed those kd years. The league is back to competitive unpredictable basketball

Golden State will always appreciate KD for his contribution to their successful run. However KD will be remembered as the guy who when they won the first championship said it didnt feel as exciting as he thought it would. He will be remembered as the guy behind twitter burner accounts liking post that said Curry couldnt carry his team and needed help. KD was reported as believing that GSW fans didnt appreciate him enough - the fans were never gonna put KD above Steph who is a drafted core franchise player while KD was a mercenary.

That's because he keeps listening to all the haters and outside narrative instead of the most important voices -- I.e., in his head and his heart...
Uhm, he did listen to that voice and thats how you got the Brooklyn Nets.
Thanks kds internal voice.
KD's career would be so much better and more respected if he just stayed in OKC. KD in OKC had it absolutely made. Small market homegrown superstar with a title worthy supporting cast (important detail people overlook) and a teammate (Russ) to take all the blame whenever he lost. Threw it all away for 2 worthless rings nobody respects. The Suns trading CP3 for Beal was a mistake. The Suns in the offseason need to get a real PG! Booker ain’t it as a PG. I don't understand why we can't blame the coach and the 2nd 3rd and 4th guy on the roster like we do with someone else? Wasn't the same coach a scapegoat for somebody else? Seems like only one superstar in the league can blame everybody else when he loses...🙄😒
AI won the game in finals against Lakers and that was good if you are good as kd or booker can't you get one win
I would trade Bradley Beal to get depths in their line and from around Brooker and KD. That's what I would do with the Suns. And an OK point guard.
Not sure you can trade that contract
He has a no trade clause
@@coonnfriend that too
It was mentioned somewhere Beal has no trade clause, oh well
Now you just have to find a team dumber than the Suns to take on his garbage contract and no-trade clause. Super easy.
KD has just been unlucky. In OKC he was stuck with a headstrong non-shooter in a 3 point dominated league. In Brooklyn Kyrie and James let him down. In Phoenix Beal has been a massive disappointment. Can’t blame KD for everything but maybe he should have thought harder about who he was aligning himself with. Steph was the best teammate he ever had.
I wouldn't say unlucky he's been choosing horribly since Gsw and I don't think he recognize how reliable Steph was in multiple ways until now
KD is a great example of if you can't beat them join them.

As a person who is born and raised in OK and a legit fan here.
I don’t mind him coming back, I’m a person of second chances..I truly believe he would come back and be happy. Ultimately some fans won’t feel this way and I don’t blame them either. It’s 50/50 for a lot of people.
Even a statement would be good too.
The Spurs is the perfect place for KD. You have a young superstar that will take on the role as his team in Wemby and u have a coach in Pop that will defend u to the media. Perfect for Durant to jus hoop in a small market
What players do in the last quarter of their careers is very important in how their legacies is defined.
For example, Michael Jordan destroyed his legacy by playing for the terrible wizards and then being an awful owner for Charlotte. Now Kevin Durant is destroying his legacy.
The way KD fixes his legacy is bringing a title to the New York Knicks.. If he can join up with them (Randle+Picks+Non-Nova filler?), be there #1 (work a 2-man game with JB), lead them to a title, and be finals MVP again... That's how he rescues his legacy.. A title in NY.. If anything, New Yorkers would love him for life.
If you’re gonna keep that core, Coach Bud
Man I think KD going to Warriors was weak asf, but we can't sit here and blame Durant for the Suns failure. He was the Suns most consistently player all season and playoffs by far. We act like KD isn't 35 coming off a torn achilles and other major surgeries. He's at the end of his career still balling, but we STILL expect him to be the driving force on a championship team. It's crazy
The age and Achilles part is an excuse bc he didn't get it done before his injuries in his prime his resume without the warriors is one of the worst full of 4-1, 4-0, and 3-1 he has never been the driving force of a championship team
He should have stayed on the 73-9 Ultra Super Team he joined. These young bulls in the league now do not care about Steph, KD, Bron whomever its a changing of the guard just like The Jordan Era and the Era after Jordan. Did you know outside of Lebron no one in his entire Draft class is in the entire league
That 73-9 team was flawed, but he should have stayed there.
Playing iso ball between 3 shooting guards will never work in a team game. Someone has to organize the offense and let the game flow.
Teamwork > individual skills
Lakers? He should at least inquire about replacing Randle in New York. Should have probably been KD there instead of Randle anyway.
If he doesn't have happiness it is the media fault criticizing him every move he makes he won in golden state it wasn't enough he hasn't had a healthy consistent team and he hasn't been able to stay healthy since he left golden state that's the truth
Vogel: We need a PG, get one
Front Office: Nah it ain't gonna happen.
Also Front Office: It's your fault Frank
All the NBA peers say Kobe greater than LeBron, but I guess media pick and choose which narrative to use LoL
It’s just different perspectives, Media loves efficiency & Lebron is a more efficient player & better passer than Kobe so they’re going to favor him. Players love that assassin mentality & greatness of rising to the moment & Kobe embodies that. Both incredible players
KD and Bron would have been scary in 2015.
If KD switched places with LeBron he would’ve gotten further than the first round.
You could totally hear the ESPN producer in j wills ear whispering mention him going to LA, Lebron, lakers.
TRASH PN isnt even afraid to have their bias show anymore.
If Kevin Durant demands a trade, what should be his destination?
Devin Booker before the season began:
“Respectfully I don’t know how teams are going to guard us."
This did not age well 😬😬
Three teams like the Heat,Mavs, & Knicks should be interesting in trading for KD in that order......
To think KD, LBJ, and Steph are not getting out of the first round is kind of crazy. Between the Lakers, GSW, and the Suns there’s a championship team…but individually they’re just not enough when everyone else has gotten so good.
Difference is Steph play with 0 all stars or superstars while kd and Bron do and nobody average over 22 pts on Steph team nobody is playing with a worst team than curry can't say the same for LeBron and KD
KD hasn’t been happy anywhere he’s been his entire career
These big 3 teams are nightmares for the coaches. More pressure to win, getting fired 98% of the time if don’t win.
Grass aint always greener on the other side man
Grass ain't always cut on the otherside either so it don't matter the decision just make 1 and kd made the right 1 because they winning next yr
As the years go on people will realize how amazing Lebron has been. Consistently winning and making it to finals and while he doesn’t always win no one in this era will win as much because the talent is too high. Kd isn’t on lebron level and he’s not a leader. Every super team he went to lost except golden state and they were good before he came he just road them and helped make them better scoring
4:05 he doesn’t care what fans think and only that kd should think on what his peers think. Sorry but it’s fans who are most important, they pay the stars bills and if it isn’t about us, then the league will have a crowd like when they were in the bubble.
KD should go back to where he started his career at Seattle/OKC help them win a championship and your legacy wouldn’t be Questioned!!! I know you read the comments KD
KD was on a team with Curry and still won 2 FMVP. That's a pretty good legacy. KD isn't a GM so how is Brooklyn his fault? Or Phoenix? He did his job.
Brooklyn was actually built much better than current Phoenix because Harden can act as a really good PG, they couldn’t stay healthy together though & Kyrie couldn’t play in NYC as he wasn’t vaccinated. Phoenix is a mess right now, Beal trade looks really bad in hindsight as KD, Booker, & Beal have the same role.
KD DESERVES this...every bit of it. His choice in 2016 made him a villain and it absolutely should have. He cannot and will not win a championship as the main fiddle.
K. D. Should have stayed in Brooklyn . Suns took years to build that team. They had good chemistry CB3, Booker, Ayton. Now they have Bradley Beal!
I don’t think anything changed, going to golden state already set his legacy to be this. It’s just showing more and more proof over time. KD is just one of the best scorers ever that’s it.
He had a redemption arc going vs the bucks. But it came up literal inches short
@@thekidfromcleveland3944doesn’t matter he lost and he can’t win anything without a 73 win super team

KD is already the "ultimate mercenary". He can continue to do so and not gonna end up with "3-4 rings" when he retires. Old heads are washed. Done. Move aside and stop taking up air time on ESPN.
As a reminder, the utah jazz once swept the Lakers with kobe and shaq on the team. Does not seem to have hurt their legacy.
how can somebody speak on anybody’s happiness? I don’t even think windy knows what it means to “acquire happiness.” does anybody? KD seems happy when he’s on the court to me. If anything these struggles make for a better story if KD can pull this off and win one.
You dont change job location if you are happy in general. Remember KD DEMANDED to be traded despite having just sign a new extension with the Nets.
Kyrie & James harden were gone. KD preferred to be with a team that was ready to win now, and quite frankly, nets wanted a fresh start as well. Those things do not directly affect his personal happiness. The same way your job or career doesn’t affect your entire personal happiness. If it does, then that speaks volume to your own personal struggles in your relationship with your career. Clearly we commoners are not in the same position but still relatable. Don’t get me wrong, it’s fair to criticize his game, his leadership in the game, his inability to get it done with this team sure, but that take was for clicks.
@@Blockchaindev248 I am not suggesting KD has always been a miserable person. He clearly can still enjoy life outside of the NBA. But in term of his basketball life, KD doesnt seems to know what he wanted. If KD wanted to ALWAYS be with a win-now team, he would have never left GS in the first place. He wanted his own team by joining Kyrie on the Nets, but then he change his mind to join another team because he wanted to be in win-now mode again? the Nets was clearly his team, and he could have recruited people to join like Lebron does in LA, but he doesnt want that burden. It give me the impression that KD was never content with his career no matter what he does or where he does it.
2:03 lol booker drives into 3 defenders including gobert…his center, nurkic, stops at the 3pt line…nurkic is the one who would have gotten that rebound..he doesn’t even shoot 3s so why did he stop at the 3pt line? KD in Washington simple should have went there in 2017
lol it’s still funny that Lebron gets criticized everyday like he ain’t win anything yet kd gets excuses and he won his championships with the most stack team ever
Good! I’m glad he’s unhappy because he stole my happiness for three years when he joined the warriors 😂 I think we all wanted to see the warriors and Cavs run it back as is from 2017-2019. I don’t believe Kyrie or LeBron leaves Cleveland if KD doesn’t join the warriors 😭
Williams: "Who cares what people think; at the end of the day you can have 5 plus rings.." Yea...Robert Horry has how many rings? And how many people bring him up in "top players to ever play" conversation? Exactly. Stop it. Context matters.
Trade Book and KD, and rebuild around Beal. They're stuck with him because of his salary and his no trade clause. Get as much as you can for KD and Book while their value is still high.
Maybe, after trading KD and Book, Beal doesn't want to stay, and waves his no trade clause. This would be a total win for the Suns since they can't compete in the West.
Greeny is right about this
Keep the core but the coaching needs to be changed & add some bench depth I also think they need to let their gm go he doesn’t know how to build a championship contender.
How about we wait until players are done playing to discuss their legacy.....
I’m glad they cut that Last sec question out by Monica!!! Silly question!!
"People are gonna remember him getting swept" - We remember Lebron getting swept Not once, not twice, but 3... thats THREE times. This is seared into my mind forever!
The chemistry is not there. They are like a massively powerful car that can’t put the power down. Immense talent especially KD…all due respect to the wolves.
