Roseanne has also dived into conspiracy territory as well.

@hugo henderson ABOUT MIKE TYSON: He was offered 1 year if he apologized and made a donation. He said he'd NEVER apologize for some shit he didnt do. PEAK of his career, and takes 3 years out of principle. Then? Cops, hotel employees, limo driver AND other contestants wanted to testify on Mike's behalf, and were not allowed by the female judge. He got railroaded by Desiree Washington, who TOLD other contestants, "he is rich, and he seems dumb, and i am going to fuck him". THREE other contestants heard this. Limo driver, who witnessed acts on the way to the hotel? Female. Bellhop who saw them AFTER the alleged rape happened, Said mike was leaned against a wall in the hall, and SHE was leaning in to him, saying "oh ok, you bring me here in a limo, and send me home in a cab? WOW.".. Cops got to the scene. She claimed dress was ripped off. No rips in dress. After the alleged rape, did she leave? No. She had a shower in his room while he ordered a snack. After this was the bellhop incident. NONE of these people were allowed to testify. There is a book that covers this. Know what happens if you print lies about people? It's called "libel", and it is serious business that can see someone sued. No libel claims, no lawsuit. That is what happens when you print facts. Mike Tyson got railroaded for the second time. The first being Robin Givens n her mom Ruth Roper. Yes, I know history. lol \m/
Hey boo! The Kennedy comment Roseanne made was actually a play on a vice presidential debate moment that happened where the Republican candidate had likenwd himself to Jack Kennedy and his opponent responded with "I knew Jack Kennedy. I served with Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine, and you, sir are no Jack Kennedy." But that quote happened during the late 80s so it's a really random kind of Association the only political buff like myself would really know. Love you Henderson!
It's so weird watching someone review a 30 year old award show that I watched live. I like how he has to give context to everything because no one today would understand. It's funny seeing what young people focus on and take away from events and culture which transpired before their time.
Exactly, ppl enjoyed the show back then. The guy is probably not even 30. Rosanne was picked as host for a reason, why mention something she posted on Twitter today and Guliani . He wasn't the crazy Guliani that we see today.
"Funny" isn't even the word for it. I watched a react channel recently that reacted to Dead Poets Society, and at one point a character quotes Robert Frost and the reviewer was like "oh, gee, I wonder if somebody famous said that" 💀 (Also reminds me of the scene in When Harry Met Sally where Harry tells a story about how he went out with a younger woman and when he asked her where she was when Kennedy was shot, she replied "Ted Kennedy was shot??" 🤣)
@@jnc121978 I still can't believe what has happened to Giuliani. I mourn the loss of who he was before. It's nice seeing the awards pre Britney... I never saw any of those because Britney didn't exist within the industry back then so it was interesting watching this.

You didn't have to bring us in here for some reason, here we go again. Just say "the md 90s were cool", and you are literally are on a Gen z RUclipsr's channel talking about the 1994 VMAS. I agree 100%, but OBVIOUSLY some of us wouldn't because we didn't live back then! And "zoomer", that must be from that trash app ""Tikflop". I dislike my generation as much as you, but you need to stop letting nostagia talking about "Gen Z" for the billionth time. There's many good young people out there who were raised right, you just wanna say the most obvious things that people can't control (like being born). I don't like how people are too blinded by social media, but we were gonna have it anyway. It's help for when you're in a lot of trouble, and you should really blame Boomers and Gen Xere for MAKING this stuff in the 1st place for Gen Z's attitude! (Sorry for the long paragraph, but I get a little sick of the "people these days will never understand". We made not, and that's okay! This world is evolving do things are gonna change)
@@quanashiab.9620people who hate on younger generations are just sad, pathetic losers who are just unhappy that their youth has come and gone sooner than they expected it to. It happens to us all, but not everyone ends up resenting the generation coming up behind us, particularly Gen Z who have a LOT of cleaning up to do in the years to come due to all the mess created by their irresponsible, lazy and entitled elders.
@@misanthropexoxo9618And? Of course we are gonna get older and act the same way! This goes for every generation, YOU are the one who raised them! Instead of complaining non stop about them, you should educate them. If they don't listen, then that's on them. And no, I'm not gonna act or say what OP. Because this day FUCKING SUCKS! It's not the same as it was in the 70s to 2000s unfortunately, another reason is because I don't want downgrad people who are younger than me because that's messed up (ageism can happen at any age, and I hate that older and younger people go through it). I love and respect your generation, but I don't being including in the most awful generation (Gen Alpha ia worse). If I had wife and a child, I wouldn't be Gatekeeping them because they didn't grew up in "the good old days". It's ok to look at the past (even I wanna live there), but we can't keep this generational cycle of hating the next generation just because it's not the one they grew up. But It's gonna happen with Gen Z, then Alpha, then Beta, and so forth. We always have gotta find some reason to criticize them for one reason, as much as I hate my gen. I'll stay a 2010s kid no matter what, you can have your childhood and I can have mine. Sure, I may have been the 1st generation to grew up with devices. But as long as I have a good family and had a good childhood, I'm fine. And again, I've literally agreed with the person. I love 90s culture and wish I grew up on it! A good time for mainstream music fans IMO Obviously I'm biased because I'm 40 and was at the age of the demographic MTV in 94 marketed to but i swear its nice to see ever artist have a chip on their shoulders because everyone knew the labels were running the show and mainstream music st that time i feel.
Absolutely they did. And a few years later Prince would go "F*** THIS S**T" and change his name to an unpronounceable symbol (which I always felt stood in for a middle finger to those labels).
It was also when my life started to become chaotic as a young teenager doing all kinds of drugs with my friends 😂listening to artists who did the same. There is of course the feeling of nostalgia, but thinking about it in detail, with today's sobriety, no more toxic psychoses and depression, with also several artists who died too young, I don't miss that era of darkness 🤣
In reference to Denis Leary and Naomi Campbell, he said "are U2 up for an award this year?" cause she was engaged to the bass player at the time. It was shade towards them not towards her.

I'm not understanding the significance of mentioning the red ribbon (1:07) or the ensuing AIDS statistic. Are you implying that wearing the ribbon/memorializing AIDS is further evidence of how (allegedly) "chaotic" the show was?
I was watching that when I was 18. Good times. I was a big Aerosmith and Tom Petty fan, so I went away pretty happy with the results. Man, just seeing my crushes at the time all there: Lisa Loeb, Bjork, and Daisy Fuentes. Such a wonderful time. Thanks for making me remember it.
Some background, the Smashing Pumpkins used to do a lot of acid. Billy Corgan once described their first album Gish as "four kids on acid". Corgan once explained that their performance of Disarmed at the 1994 VMAs was the moment that caused him to afterwards realize that he had a drug problem and needed to quit. According to Corgan, he was so out of his mind on acid during the performance that he actually broke 2 strings and had a mental breakdown on stage, leading to him smashing his guitar and mic stand and storming off stage, almost falling on his face when he tripped on the chord.

"kennedy, you are no martha quinn" is a reference to the vice presidential debate during the 1988 american election between lloyd bentsen & dan quayle (who was the butt of a lot of jokes at the time). quayle made a reference to john f kennedy & bentsen replied with "senator, i served with jack kennedy. i knew jack kennedy. jack kennedy was a friend of mine. senator, you're no jack kennedy."
Omg Soundgarden❤❤❤ miss u Chris😢. This was epic!! Sabotage, En vouge, Aerosmith?? I wanna go back
I think you missed the reference when Rosanne said that about Kennedy, and knowing Martha Quinn, Martha Quinn is a friend of mine etc.... She was quoting an old political line about assassinated president John F Kennedy. "Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy. I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy." She was riffing on this famous line.
Yes, I know history. lol \m/

Madonna🔥👏🏻👏🏻
I vividly remember my 8 year-old brain thinking Snoop Dogg looked exactly like Jack Skellington when he gets up from that wheelchair.

Rosanne was picked as host for a reason, why mention something she posted on Twitter today and Guliani
That man helped NYC clean up its act, and he got our entire tri-state area through 9/11 single handedly, with unwavering determination and strength. I think that's the last time I ever saw a politician be a true "leader."
@dawnieb.7394 I agree who would have thought. Everyone was like she should be running for president in the early 2000s.
Another award show video! Happy New Year, Hugo 🥳
Happy new year!!
It's nice seeing the awards pre Britney... I never saw any of those because Britney didn't exist within the industry back then so it was interesting watching this.
that's the entire 90's, she broke out in like 99, im sure no one gave a shit til 2000
Yea and it was much better pre Brittany and the teen pop that followed.
This whole award show was them picking on Madonna and all the most powerful women. Did anyone else notice?? It was like they are intimidated by them 🤔🤔🤔
Looking back on this now, it's really crazy what they were able to get away with then.
when you've ran out of messy award shows, please review Joe's Apartment.
NOOOO why would you do that to him? 😂😂😂😂
So freaking random. Hahaha
Nothing like people describing things from the 90s who weren't old enough to understand the context
Whoopie Goldberg meme saying "okay"
Roseanne's Kennedy comments were a reference to the 1988 vice presidential debates between Dan Quayle and Lloyd Bentsen.
i was waiting for this soooo bad , im such a nirvana fan so im glad i got to see this
what xD
this was the worst year for Nirvana, i don't really like em but i know that 420 meant something this year to all you that did.
Damn, celebrities where so real back in the 90’s, I miss that
In the 90s AND 80s. Gaga is about the only one these days who is similar (check out her legendary performance on the 2009 VMAs).
Thank you for these memories!
Thanks for the video Hugo 🙏 great as always!

A classic MADONNA RESPONSE.... QUEEN 👑
roseanne and kennedy moment was so the "whats good " miley and nikki moment of the 90s lol
All u need left to do now is the 91,92,and 93 VMAs
FWIW, Michael Stipe was friends with Adam Yauch, so odds are, he either knew ahead of time, or took it as a harmless prank.
1994 was a different time. Zoomers will never understand how awesome the mid 90s was.
@@quanashiab.9620gen z blows. Live with it and move on. You’ll be saying the same bs OP is saying when it’s your time to get off the throne b.
@24kgoldplatedvermeiloh, I apologize lol.
Happy new years and hope you have a great day ❤
Remember when Madonna tried to kiss Drake and he almost puked in her mouth? 😂 2:40

You should do a video on the 1992 VMAs when Nirvana stole the show and flipped the muzik biz upside down by putting an end to the boring glam rock hair bands by writing super powerfully intense tunes 😉

Obviously I'm biased because I'm 40 and was at the age of the demographic MTV in 94 marketed to but i swear its nice to see ever artist have a chip on their shoulders because everyone knew the labels were running the show and mainstream music st that time i feel.

SO MANY awkward moments 🫣
In reference to Denis Leary and Naomi Campbell, he said "are U2 up for an award this year?" cause she was engaged to the bass player at the time. It was shade towards them not towards her.
Bjork was so amazing, I loved her in the 90s! If anybody wants to see just how fun and full of talent she was, unfettered, her 1997 concert at Sheperds Bush Empire is on RUclips and she plays all of her best songs.

Did you watch it live like I did as teenager in 94?The show wasn't that bad as you described it. 94 was an edgy time in pop culture during those alternative years and hip hop. We didn't have any teen pop or boy bands in those days. Rosanne and Guliani were not as controversial as you described in the most recent years.

I'm not understanding the significance of mentioning the red ribbon (1:07) or the ensuing AIDS statistic. Are you implying that wearing the ribbon/memorializing AIDS is further evidence of how (allegedly) "chaotic" the show was?
Of course not, it’s just giving context to the time period. It was a really important topic.
Side note>I saw Kennedy doing an interview on CBS This Morning a few years ago
Denis Leary asked if U2 were nominated and Adam Sandler was totally improvising.
