Gaster is an unknown man the only solid ground we know about him is that he is the previous royal scientist and father of Sans and Papyrus. Maybe this story will clear things up Gaster: the original creator of the power source of the underground, but during a malfunction gaster and sans are forced to stop it from exploding and destroy all the monsters, after stopping it sans and gaster attempt to escape the core but gaster falls into it there for trapping him in the void having him withering away as we speak Sans: we discover the fact that sans did work with gaster after finding a machine in his backyard (possibly used to pull gaster back from the void) and had lied to his brother. ok so creepy story I listen to the old Legend of Zelda music when I go to sleep (don't judge me) And this happened a while ago: One night I plugged in my iPod A random track from I *think* Link's Awakening, and from what I remember, it was Track 64(I don't remember the EXACT number, since the songs didn't have names until I looked up what they were, and the song I'm talking about is "Level 8 - Turtle Rock") started playing. Gaster, the man who is claimed to speak in hands, asters, and wing dings.
Gaster is an unknown man the only solid ground we know about him is that he is the previous royal scientist and father of Sans and Papyrus. Maybe this story will clear things up
Gaster: the original creator of the power source of the underground, but during a malfunction gaster and sans are forced to stop it from exploding and destroy all the monsters, after stopping it sans and gaster attempt to escape the core but gaster falls into it there for trapping him in the void having him withering away as we speak
Sans: we discover the fact that sans did work with gaster after finding a machine in his backyard (possibly used to pull gaster back from the void) and had lied to his brother.
Papyrus: either knows about gaster and is doing the same as sans and lieing to him but doesn't know he's lieing to papyrus. Or has no idea that gaster exists and is bringing parts from alphys' laboratory to sans so he can fix the machine to save gaster, but always forgets to ask why he needs the parts.
But one things certain

I love the fact that while there's a generally excepted story to gaster (which I'm not going into its complicated) no one really knows anything about him and it really adds to the mystery effect that to get certain things to do with him you need to use game files (I think), his music isn't on the soundtrack, and Toby Fox refuses to say he exists

I listen to the old Legend of Zelda music when I go to sleep (don't judge me)
And this happened a while ago:
One night
I plugged in my iPod
A random track from I *think* Link's Awakening, and from what I remember, it was Track 64(I don't remember the EXACT number, since the songs didn't have names until I looked up what they were, and the song I'm talking about is "Level 8 - Turtle Rock") started playing.
But when it started playing
This was one that sounded familiar
Not just because it was in Zelda
I hadn't heard this track from Zelda before since I have a lot of OSTs and they're all in one big playlist of over 400 songs, sooo...
But after listening to that short 8bit song
I was just staring at it
And for a good reason, too:
I heard Gaster's theme.
Gaster's theme was playing.
I'm not saying it WAS Gaster's theme, but it SOUNDED VERY MUCH like it.
