Great review. To the point. 5 weeks ago I picked up my 840i GC and it is identical to the one here including the frozen bluestone metallic paint. I have owned several BMW’s and also have a 2018 X5 M50d and I have to say the 8 GC is the best BMW I have ever owned and this is a real head turner and talking point. The drive is sublime. It’s just a shame I haven’t had a road trip yet but will do so in 2 weeks time.
@@PhatTok It’s a stunning car. I would send you some photos of mine but there doesn’t seem to be any option to do that on here. The great thing I love about it is the fact they are so rare; you just don’t see them on the road which makes them stand out more.
@@jamiesymons4725 I've only seen 1 GC and 3 Coupes, 2 on the motorway! Its my second BMW after my current G30 5 series which I love. I can't wait for wc 14th Dec! 🙏 I feel very lucky to be getting one. You have an impressive collection by the way, good on you.
@@PhatTok There is 1 GC fairly local to me in Plymouth but other than that I don’t see them and I have seen a handful of coupes (which I am not keen on actually). What a fantastic early Christmas present!? Have you waited long for it? The 5 series is a lovely car but I think you will absolutely love the 8; it is an amazing car to drive and so incredibly smooth. Have you ordered the petrol or diesel. I love cars and in particular BMW’s; my wife has a 220d M Sport convertible in mineral grey with red leather and she loves it. Like you I feel very lucky to have such lovely cars on the drive. Perhaps send me some photos when you get it which, isn’t long now. 👍
Huh? if you're very old, what am I? To answer your question though, yes, the 8 series is the best looking BMW right now. Possibly ever. The back upper rear quarter of the 6 series, where the back quarter panel meets the tail lights, is near perfection. This is close though. And the sculpted interior of the 6 was among my all time favorites. But this is also lovely. It perfectly solves the issues I had with my M6. It was too heavy and powerful for just rear wheel drive. And the exhaust had no soul, no pops, bangs, nothing. I'm trying to decide between the mental comfort/peace of mind that comes with a new one, but at an awful price. Or, a barely used CPO one with with not as painful deprish.
@@CompletecarIe My father actually owns an 8n series and have seen it beside a 76 series and can confirm that it is a lot closer to an 7 series than a 5 series
Let’s be honest - the 840i is the pretty cousin of the 640i - they share the same engine and gearbox, and have the same wheelbase and overall length ....comments please....( I’ve owned 5,6 and 7 series in last 3 years).
I traded my F13 in for one. I honestly never thought that I would ever get rid of the 640i but the two doors just became a bit to much of a bind. Miss her though.
That view and drive in that car is beautiful

Glad you're liking it, I pick up mine at the end of Dec, got it in carbon black. Can't wait for it!

Fantastic car , mine arrived in black sapphire 1st of March 👍
Great! Waiting for mine end of August in bluestone metallic. Still very satisfied with yours I'm sure?
Nice spec!

@@CompletecarIe Thanks!
20 months ago, and replaced my 640d GC with a 840i GC, with 10 optional extras. My best car to date.
Congrats!
Immaculate vehicle. Thanks for the info my friend
You’re most welcome.
My next car!❤
Thank you for watching
Thanks for showing the interior
No problem 👍

Beautiful although I prefer the Alpina B5 in silver or blue.
Alpina is very cool
yes it is, no question about it
You're right!
6 series =5 series coupe
8 series =7 series coupe
But this is more of a 5 series Coupe...

@@badgastein2 the way the 8 series is a completely different beast tho
colour name?
It's called Frozen Bluestone - a BMW Individual colour. ^ Shane
I think it's a bit unfair putting an advert featuring Ryan Reynolds right before my mug appears...
We think it's only right that Ryan Reynolds is your support act.
This and x6m are my favs
Good to know. Thanks for watching
