The "long term" is snot what it used to be. When I was an investment adviser in the 80's long term meant 10+ years. It appears to me when people say long term now they mean 10 weeks. Also when fear stalks the land, reason disappears.
19:30 I got 200 Nvidia stocks in 2014 and held Diamond hands until this year. Sold 50 units for a 5000% return, but that’s definitely my luckiest shot ever. I held other equities for 10’years and now they are 93% down.

Giving the bank your cash to loan to Timmys on a high interest rate is pretty awesome. If you give 500K to the bank you get 25K in interest in one year. That's enough to live off of for a year in some parts of the US. Hopefully people are listening to you and not investing in watches.
Not sure which Oceans movie they shake the building. But I can say, if you like those oil paintings, you have to go see the canals yourself. Go see some of the world, life is short and the world is a beautiful place. Well worth the journey.

I used to play 60 cards kitchen table decks, it was so much fun... After a big pause (8ish years), in 2014 I gladly started playing Commander, Modern and Pioneer. I used to be excited about making my own brews and come up with my own stuff! Now the only format where I still get that vibe is my cube. I guess I'll limit myself to that. Feels sad though.

LOTR MTG is a winner. Imo it will be sought after for years and not just hold it's value but go up dramatically. Why? Because most of the cards are pretty rare, the art is spectacular, they captured the LOTR story perfectly in the card art, and the serialized cards. A true first.
simple answer. some collectors (of any hobby) are going broke. when you are going broke and can't do the basic things to pay rent/mortage or feed your family, you are forced to sell at a loss. things like pokemon should be a small part of your investment portfolio. profit great a few thousand bucks, no profit it's fine i will live.

They are really fun decks, 64 bucks is a little high but if you can find a Walmart coupon you might be able to get a discount!! But not sure how often Walmart gives our coups that affect your whole cart.

Wizards is basing that information off of Arena, because the Magic fans I know are almost entirely lifers. Arena, they come and then they go once they realize it's not an authentic Magic experience, and Hasbro is rigging the game.
As someone who has held NVidia stock since mid '08, I can tell you for a fact it was flat for years. Wasn't until like 2015/'16 that it really started actually going up. and then it spiked in the 2020 era and then again the past month or so.
