Hello! I saw another video of yours but can't comment there: ruclips.net/video/NsqASqp3Ias/видео.htmlfeature=shared We have a Chevy Silverado 2500, a 28ft travel trailer, and a Honda Pioneer 700-4 UTV. We want to tow our trailer with the UTV in the bed. At this time we've only hauled the UTV in the bed and have not done a test fit yet with the trailer. We purchased a Curt Long Shank Hitch Extension and DG Tailgate Supports and will tow with weight distribution bars. We are worried we'll ruin our truck with the tailgate down on the power jack when we turn sharp. Do you have any suggestion or a follow up video? Here's what we look like with the Pioneer in the bed (we didnt have tailgate supports at the time but luckily the cables were strong and new!..wont do that again!): ruclips.net/user/shortsGe1JlGA0Gco?si=fFx3hU_IioYSYCKP I've seen some videos of people removing the jack and putting it back on when needed. It'd be a pain but I'm scared! If you have advice I'd love to hear! Thanks man!
Hello, search you tube the jack-e-up and you can remove the power jack each time. I have one I don’t use anymore. We down sized. But, looking back I would just remove the 3 bolts and remove my jack each time. It’s easy and about as quick as the jack-e-up too. Just saying.. 3 bolts out when you hook up and 3 to install when you setup. I hope this helps and good luck!
You don’t even understand how confused I was when I saw the title. I thought you had a fifth wheel hitch and a golf cart all in the bed of the truck. Like did you get a XXL extended bed? Lol Edit: I did not see that it said “extended shank”
1,400lbs payload on my truck. payload= driver 200lbs. hitch weight 350lbs (weight distribution hitch) golf cart 650 lbs. club car is all aluminum and all gear is in trailer. With 200 lbs to spare on my payload. I did install airbags from airlift co., To help with squat of the coils. I would drive it through the Grand Canyon all day long, with one arm out the window and one on the wheel. Like a dream...
@@garyesmar10 either your numbers are false or you're guessing, your tongue weight should be between 587 lbs and 880.5 lbs weight on a trailer of that weight, so for it to be 350lbs would mean you have a lot of weight in the back of the camper which leads to unsafe conditions. Take it to a CAT scale and weigh it properly.
Thanks for your concerns, but my weight distribution hitch cuts the hitch weight in 1/2 and it’s as safe as ever. Cheers! We will be pulling all year nation wide with no problems. Oh yeah, I still have 200 lbs to spare. Yee yee!
Disaster waiting for a place to happen. Just pray you don’t take anyone else on the road out with this mess when it goes down.
He doesn't know just how far out of control he's going to be. RV salesperson must have laughed all the way to the bank

What’s the link to purchase extended shank?
How much does your camper weigh?...trying to do a similar set up for my truck
I'd love to see that CAT scale ticket, betting that truck is way over it's payload rating

Trailer is only 5,870 lbs too. It’s very light.

To be safe and verify my numbers are correct, I think your idea of a cat scale, is a good one.
So does not hit anything with tailgate down?
No even close. I Can back in anywhere I want too.
What's the name of that Jackee product? I can't find it online? Also what tailgate supports do you use? They look like yellow bars. ??
jack-e-up.com
That is a lot of weight behind a half ton.
