The debate camp song comes across as a pretentious Ivy League tradition. Spot on behavior for at least one character.
Peter, ThankYou for Your Excellent work & Posting!
I loved Ron Silver. What a loss!
He brought so much to his roles; this one was no exception.
He was a conservative Republican in real life. In interviews he gave us lots of insight into the “I have to publicly be a vocal liberal” people in Hollywood that didn’t vote that way. God bless the secret ballot.
And Bruno taught us a political strategist supports whoever hires him/her. He worked for Bartlett, 100%.
Then in the final season he worked for Vinick, the Republican.
He may have been slightly conservative... but he voted for Obama in 08 apparently
He wasn't definitively conservative. He was a stalwart liberal, and loathed the military to his core until it was convenient not to do so: e.g. 9/11. He was invited to, and present at, the Clinton inauguration #1, where, during the traditional military fly-over above Lincoln Memorial, he expressed disgust at even the presence of military force before self-realizing "Those are our planes now". He publicly admitted so.Then, after 9/11 he flipped for six years, supporting Junior in 2004, speaking at the Republican Convention, and holding several pro-Israel positions by appointment. Eventually he returned to his roots by 2008 to vote for Obama, stating he wanted to see an Africa-American President before his death (which he knew was coming). He got his wish, barely, passing away two months after inauguration. If you had to put him on a spectrum by the time it was all over he finished as a pro-Israel moderate, but during his appearances on TWW he was supportive of the Republican administration. Prior to 9/11 he was considerably farther left. And yeah, helluva good actor. Hollywood lost a talent there, for sure.
*WTF is a 'Conservative Republican?'* *What does that even mean?*
*"Equal Rights for Black Americans...as long as they don't get 'Uppity' over it"*
_________
*WTF is with all the 'Hollywood' sh!t?* *To me that says "Too many Jews who aren't 'Real Americans' have too big a voice in politics" from ' Republicans' that despise anything 'not them'*
_________
*My 'Politics?'* *PHUCK THE 'REPUBLINAZI PARTY' whose only goals are MONEY AND POWER for themselves and NOTHING ELSE!*
_________
*The same 'Party' that LOATHED AND DESPISED Obama and used any filthy trick they could to either 'push him out' or 'castrate him' for eight-years!*
*BECAUSE HE WAS 'HALF BLACK' and no other reason than that*
"Bite me, that's why."
Yeah, it wouldn't lose points in Jersey.

Presidents should not just only hope.
"My district. My Country.
Welcome to the show that never ends."
Don't worry kids, Georgia comes around
Like all the presidents speeches it seemed in front of party fans. So in essence few meet the needs undecided
What did Ed and Larry do?
Welcome my friend to the show that never ends !!!
What is the dong they sing at 8:40

Bartlett invoked the “glory” of God at the end of his speeches just enough to make me uncomfortable. Sorkin wrote this?
Love when he says "What's next?"
While singing or reading Latin is impressive, I think it's the pinnacle of elitism and dislocation from the 99%. Republicans go to Ivy league but you can bet Latin is sung in a bathroom or elite club dining room
