I had a similar situation at the same park last year. That park is a magnet for shady people. Dude got mad at me cause I didn’t have a lighter screamed loudly and flipped off the dock and swam with the current screaming till out of eyesight.
Sounds like your average Chav you find here in the UK. I had one ask me to let him know when the tide was coming in so he could move his stuff back, I told him the tide was coming in and he thanked me but he didn't move his stuff so his crappy radio got soaked and he started yelling and cussing at me and threatening to kill me because apparently I didnt tell him... then a passing Jetski rider caught his attention so he started cussing at him for scaring all the fish away before leaving.
Content of the year Alex! This is why I hate docking at the public spots. I try my best to drop at a not so obvious spot. I mostly worry about my truck. 🙏🤷♀️👍

I was a Correctional Officer for 28 years and seen some crazy stuff throughout my Career, but that was definitely a 5150 moment. When you deal with this in a nearly weekly basis you just know when someone is not stable. Prayers to you and definitely to that man that if the worst didn't happen and he get's the help he needs.
It’s definitely not fun homie, I found a dead homeless dude at Third Creek on thanksgiving day 2 years ago… it was the first night of the year it was below freezing and he froze to death… I still think about it but nothing you can do… I even called to see if they identified him or contacted his family and they wouldn’t tell me nothing…. Good luck on AOY man..!!! We finally got moved to SC so all my fishing stuff is still packed away. I’m surrounded by ponds though and super close to Keowee, Jocassee, and Hartwell lakes, not to mention all the rivers and creeks…!!! I can’t wait to get out and fish.!!!

I had a guy bring five dogs on a twenty foot leash have them splash around where I was fishing. He started screaming shoot the dogs. I have no idea why he was acting this way. I left and called the Sherriff. Time for me to become conceal and carry.
My cousin & I were fishing on a Narrow river once & there was some people who were in a big surf boat & they were wakeboarding, there were a lot of people who had John boats like us who were fishing also & every time they sped past people they were throwing up big waves almost capsizing the smaller boats people were complaining to them about it & they didn’t stop , they were flipping people off & cursing people out , well my cousin & I were fishing by some big concrete pillars that were sticking out of the water & they were at full speed running towards us with no intention to turn my cousin having a conceal carry permit pulled his weapon & fired up in the air , still they were running full speed toward us so he let one go into there hull of there boat , I guess they got the hint after that because shortly after that they packed up there boat & waited on us to come back to the boat ramp . When we got to the boat ramp there was police waiting on us & they asked use what happen & we told them , the other party denied ever doing what they did but I had it on camera & they didn’t know this . I show the police the camera footage & they ticketed the other party for what they did because they were not allowed to wakeboard on that river because of it being narrow & they arrested the driver for putting other boaters in jeopardy in doing so . My cousin was never arrested because of firing his weapon because are life’s were in danger however they did check to see if everything was legit with his permit for the weapon . A few months down the line the owner of the big boat tried to take my cousin to court for damages done to his boat & lost the case because he was in the wrong .
Hope that dude gets the help he needs. You boys handled that well. On a lighter note , l think I'm going to join my local KBF trail this year. At least when the old lady yells about how much l fish I can say I'm practicing.😂😂

You’ve prob already seen this but since you’ve broken multiple rods in the last couple months- Greg Blanchard turned me onto the CalCoast Rod Mule and that thing is awesome; haven’t broken a rod since I bought it and they permanently live in the bed of my truck.
I don't think there is anybody who hasn't been affected by the drug pandemic. When I get mad at people for being on drugs and doing bad things , I just remember what a good friend told me. "Nobody WANTS to be an addict"......kinda puts it in perspective some.

Had a kid last year pull the same stuff. He actually beat his girlfriend up right before i showed up. He kept saying he was gonna kill me and my buddy and that he was going to drown himself it was crazy. I called the cops and he got taken away. Come to find out he was a minor and they were drunk and smoked crack. Shitty situation. You handled it great
Boy yall got some great response times in TN.... I called about a fella breaking into cars in the alley by my condo and CPD took 3.5 hours to show up.. just some weird people out in the world.
25 years ago, I was catfishing with my stepsons on a small boat just off the boat ramp. I looked over to the ramp and saw guy wading in the water, then one of the kids hooked into a nice catfish, and after we got it in, we heard the people from the ramp yelling. They had been yelling earlier for us to give him some catfish, they saw us catching. After a few moments, I realize they were yelling for the guy. He had walked right off the ramp into the water and committed suicide. There was nothing we could do he was gone. The problem was the fire department had blocked the ramp doing the search and rescue and there were no lights on the ramp and there were like 10 to 15 boats trying to get into the ramp before dark. It was interesting watching the sheriffs officers, arguing with the fire chief to get off the ramp so we could get in. They finally did. We were truly thankful to the sheriffs department that day.

I don't think there is anybody who hasn't been affected by the drug pandemic. When I get mad at people for being on drugs and doing bad things , I just remember what a good friend told me. "Nobody WANTS to be an addict"......kinda puts it in perspective some.

Had a kid last year pull the same stuff. He actually beat his girlfriend up right before i showed up. He kept saying he was gonna kill me and my buddy and that he was going to drown himself it was crazy. I called the cops and he got taken away. Come to find out he was a minor and they were drunk and smoked crack. Shitty situation. You handled it great

Boy yall got some great response times in TN.... I called about a fella breaking into cars in the alley by my condo and CPD took 3.5 hours to show up.. just some weird people out in the world.

25 years ago, I was catfishing with my stepsons on a small boat just off the boat ramp. I looked over to the ramp and saw guy wading in the water, then one of the kids hooked into a nice catfish, and after we got it in, we heard the people from the ramp yelling. They had been yelling earlier for us to give him some catfish, they saw us catching. After a few moments, I realize they were yelling for the guy. He had walked right off the ramp into the water and committed suicide. There was nothing we could do he was gone. The problem was the fire department had blocked the ramp doing the search and rescue and there were no lights on the ramp and there were like 10 to 15 boats trying to get into the ramp before dark. It was interesting watching the sheriffs officers, arguing with the fire chief to get off the ramp so we could get in. They finally did. We were truly thankful to the sheriffs department that day.

Something similar happened to my cousin when he was living with me, and one of my best friends while he was living with me. The brain is a crazy thing
