NOBODY can sing the way Janis Joplin used to sing,because she used to sing straight from her heart and womb!
What a voice, what a singer.

@dnole55 You're welcome.
Muito melhor q a Janis, cm berrava!
What the heck is wrong with you people??? THIS IS A CHARLIE RICH SONG!!!!!
flomurdock Before you come in here, carrying on & having hissy fits, you need to do your research: The song was ORIGINALLY recorded by Janis Joplin and featured on her "Pearl" album. The song was recorded by her in September 1970 & the album released around the first week in Jan. 1971. Charlie Rich didn't release his version until 1971 (and likely recorded it after hearing the great version by Janis Joplin) & it did pretty miserable on the charts when it was released, to boot, going only to #72 on the country charts. Just because he released a single of his version doesn't make it HIS song. All music history books clearly state that Janis did the original recording of the song & there were about 10 cover versions done by others after her version ! And if my comments aren't enough for you, check out any websites about or for Dan Penn & 99% of them will list Janis Joplin next to the title of the song he helped compose, never Charlie Rich.
+W. Walter Watson (Wally1435) Flo will be back any year now when she sobers up; nice rebuttal.
