My 2011 prius was burning oil .every 2k miles no more engine oil on the stick. I spent 2800 $ to swap the engine . My 2010 prius has headgasket problems too 800$ to fix . My brother is VW mechanic
Yep all cars break, but some cars get a bad reputation because poor people buy luxury cars to look cool and can’t afford the maintenance on them, so this cars break down, then you will have lots of haters saying that they are bad, cause maintenance and upkeep is very expensive and not all can afford it, I am not rich so only way I can afford it fixing it myself, but paying someone I would not
Your system is clogged or its compressing air, i have the 2008 Full size Westminster with the 4.2L Supercharged that had the clog issue. it started out over the stretch of 6 months. at first i had no heat to the rear vents until after a consistent 30 min. drive on the highway than after a couple months I'm getting no heat in the back and only warm air from the front. the car sits in the freezing cold for 2 weeks due to a brake job gone wrong. once its complete i suddenly have warm air only coming from 25% of the car for about 1 hour... than suddenly no heat at all and the engine is overheating (it wont overheat into the red line, but just before it). i stop the car and let it idle for about 2 mins. and it comes back down to normal temp. tried to drive it again... overheat within 1 min. and maintained that pattern. Your reservoir seems normal, unless you view it with a gopro while driving like i did (Either a sudden shift in the fluid (air in the system) or its moving slower than it should (clog) if its air - check for leaks. If none are present, a thorough bleed should solve the issue. if its a clog (usually in the heater core)- a thorough flush should solve the issue, parts might need to be replaced though.
Not sure, but my wife wants to use it if I am not, but most likely I will use Range Rover for Airport rides business outside of Uber and lyft and bmw for normal Uber lyft driving
BRO you totally bought someone else’s nightmare… I wouldn’t have touched that thing with a ten foot pole. What you see and what I see was 100% difference. When I seen the new thermostat bolts and belt that tells me they already replaced stuff and it’s still not fixed and they know it’s a blown motor or HG and that’s why they gave it up. In my honest opinion you’re being WAYYY to optimistic on this thing. This is a nightmare of a project sell it now before you sink 500 hours and thousands of dollars into a sinking ship. All the dash lights alone would have had me walking away. Throw this in the yard with the 33 other cars you’ve got or sell it to some other sucker. This literally might be one of the last vehicles on earth that I would ever buy and keep.
@@rydevip3678 if I had to guess I’d say it overheated on them so they obviously started with the thermostat as most people do. Then that didn’t work so they tried the head gasket sealer trick, and even that didn’t work. I’m willing to bet that it’s a cracked block or head, or most likely a blown head gasket and the heads are warped. They gave up on it for a reason brother. And now there is all that nasty crap inside the engine from the head gasket “fix”. If you’ve found that many problems on the very first day imagine how what the future will be like with it. To much work brother just being honest. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. I can tell that you’re hoping it’s going to be some simple little fix but I’m not seeing that if I’m being honest. It’s really rare that someone catches an overheating vehicle fast enough to save it from blowing the HG IMO. I hope I’m wrong for your sake, you’re a good dude. I’m mind blown that you as a mechanic would buy this specific vehicle sight unseen on an auction site. Heck I never even dared to buy a 2 year old Toyota at auction without seeing and driving it first.
Think about how fast that thing overheated. You didn’t even go half of a mile and it was pegged. Are you comfortable pulling the heads on something like this? Time for a compression and leak down test.

Is this range rover for off roading bro ? Camping and end of the world stuff
Yes it’s 4x4 all the time and can go over 2 feet of water
if you wanna off-road buy the L322, higher ground clearance designed better for off-roading, L320 is more sporty designed to be a pavement princess.
If u start ubering lyfting with this car..how much money would u rent your bmw ??

Nothing a few thousand dallars cant fix.
Lol I bet I can fix it for less under 1k
Literally fix it with a couple hours of bleeding the nightmare of a v8 and the price of a can of WD-40 for the handbrake fault.

Their head gasket fix was their Hail Mary and even that didn’t fix the issue. Eject eject!!
Lol 😂 this is why it’s cheep, many people are afraid of dealing with it, but I am not and watch I will get it fixed way less then you think 🤔
What do you mean, do you think head gasket was replaced
