Highams Park Level Crossing

Saturday May 23 2015 at 9.08. The 8.48 London (Liverpool Street) to Chingford (9.14) train heading north. This crossing was filmed at the end of 2011 from the other side. Its the only crossing in north-east London. 8 trains an hour use the crossing off peak but they aren't timed to arrive together as they could be so it closes twice as often as it might. The station here has been left off the National Rail Timetable. The train operator changes in days.

If you are going to do any long trips this year, I would suggest crossings on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway, The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway and the South-West. But do whatever you have planned
