2017 Pacifica. On starting, I see these error messages: parking brake failure, anti skid failure, stop/ Start failure. The MIL is on. The car won’t shift into any gear. The PRNDL indicator stays in Park. Engine runs fine, transmission worked fine until this started. All other functions work fine. I charged the main battery, but I did NOT touch the Aux battery. Car will be in the shop and I’ll keep everyone updated.
It was rodent related. A mouse chewed through the wiring loom. About 7 wires were damaged, 5 were completely cut through. There were teeth marks all over the broken wires. I could tell by the twin oval shaped marks right next to each other - rodent fangs. Insurance covered a complete new loom and installation. Two weeks to get the entire part. Cost: $1800 for the wiring loom, $500 for installation. @@mr.shyryhud1659
Yes, I was going to put up a video. My issue was a wiring harness break. 4 broken wires, and four that looked partially chewed through. New harness-$600, labor $1,200. Working with insurance to see if I can get rodent damage covered .
@@rockydesign3303 if you could do that, that would be awesome. This behavior seemed to be tied to the cold weather and would usually correct itself after the van warmed up and was restarted after letting the electrical system fully shut down. However, since after work this past Wednesday it's been stubbornly consistent. Thanks!
Having this same issue anyone ever get to solve this prob? My problem is the vehicle is dead until i disconnect the TCM module.. everything comes back to life .. plug back in tcm everything dead
@TinaGarcia-Newton had a shifting problem on my highlander a while back it turned out to be the neutral safety switch. It’s a control right by the transmission that moves the transmission when you switch gears. There’s a few videos on RUclips about it

I bet it's the auxiliary battery, it's bad. 2 new batteries.
@@rodfoulds8352Nope, mouse chewed through the wiring loom.
Where is the wiring located that was damaged?
J Michael Drake, have you been able to fix this issue? I'm not sure if it a rodent issue for me or if it is a CAN bus issue.
I just started experiencing the exact issue on my 2017...any luck with a fix?
