  • I interviewed Alice Cooper on November 23rd, 2020 and Bob Ezrin on December 10th, 2020. This is a couple of excerpts about them writing My God (Lace And Whiskey, 1977) and Steven (Welcome To My Nightmare, 1975).

Steven is the more popular song, but I think my God is just as powerful and dramatic. And it comes from a criminally underated Alice album lace and whiskey which is one of Alice best albums imho

Agree. There are good songs on all of his albums.

@@TheIndependentLens personally I would say his first 3 solo albums are absolutely brilliant. But once Bob ezrin stopped producing his albums Alice lost his direction, though I love special forces

@@laurencelevene4333 I know Bob Ezrin didn't produce all of his albums, but he still produces albums and works with Alice to this day. All the new ones are Ezrin. "Trash" & "The Last Temptation" are great and they are not produced by Ezrin. Anyway, I guess I'm in long form saying I'm an Alice Cooper fan. LOL!

@@TheIndependentLens I will have to take a listen to last temptation. Never got round to hearing it. I was a huge fan of Alice from 1971 to 1978. Some of his albums after were great but others were disappointing. But like you I will always be a huge fan of Alice. And no one can match his incredible stage shows

@@laurencelevene4333 I liked it a lot. I even bought the 3 comic books that went with it. It continues more with the character of Steven. I agree that his stage shows are fantastic!
Oh, and I did get to meet Alice in 2015. He actually signed the first comic book of the 3.

I find that atheist talk more about God than some Christians do.

“It is an insult to God to believe in God. For on the one hand it is to suppose that he has perpetrated acts of incalculable cruelty. On the other hand, it is to suppose that he has perversely given his human creatures an instrument-their intellect-which must inevitably lead them, if they are dispassionate and honest, to deny his existence. It is tempting to conclude that if he exists, it is the atheists and agnostics that he loves best, among those with any pretensions to education. For they are the ones who have taken him most seriously.”
