This my favourite muppets episode. It's my children's favourite episode. When Alice tries to make kermit sign a contract exchanging his soul..... Absolutely brilliant.
Hello Alice, I may have been non existent when the muppet show was around, but as a toddler my dad had VHS tapes of the muppet show, and my favorite episode was this one, and you became a heavy influence on my love for shock rock, and rock n roll in general. I’ve become a bass guitarist, and have gotten into songwriting. I just want to say thank you, you’re awesome 😎
Definitely one of the better Muppet Show episodes, all the way down to the fact Kermit is anxious in the logo introduction - that makes it unique. And the music and gags were great.
This episode of The Muppet Show was what introduced me to Alice Cooper and turned me into an instant fan when I was about 7 or 8 years old. I've been a fan ever since.
Little known fact: Comedian Freddy Lewis became a HUGE Alice after watching this episode! A few years later, he lost his mind trying to imitate “Special Forces” era Alice! xoxo The Clarences
This was my favorite show when I was little. I remember it came on right after dinner. I never wanted to finish dinner back then but wasn't allowed to watch the Muppets unless I did. So I'd sit at the table, all stubborn & refusing to eat. Hoping to win a battle of wills with my parents. They had an ace in the hole tho & they knew it. I'd hear the Muppet's theme song coming from the living room & I'd immediately scarf down whatever was left on my plate & run in to sit down in front of the TV. My parents were fans of Alice so this was a popular episode in my house. This was my first introduction to Alice Cooper & he's since become one of my all-time favorites. I have many of his albums & I've seen him live twice. So this was a smart way to appeal to a whole new generation of fans.
You Are The Ultimate! The 1st time I was blessed to be able to see you in concert, I bought '4' tickets to ensure I had a ride! {from Longmont, Co to Denver & back!} When I was 14 my Mom found that you were going to be on a talk show and she surprised me by letting me stay home the next morning from school to see you! We were living in Houston at the time. I got to see you in Concert '3' times! {not enough but I am still Grateful!} I'm Thankful for Your Music, whenever I felt certain ways, instead of going to jail I'd crank up your music and visualize & feel it. Kept everyone safe....LOL
Love this! Great to hear him talk about this. I read Dennis Dunaway’s book and he was really shocked he did this because back with Alice Cooper the band this wouldn’t have happened.
I'm 15. And in the future I will make cartoons about beginnings of the rock groups (cartoon how they met and, you know, how it all started) and then there will be a whole station playing things like that for children to watch. And that Muppets show will be there! And I WILL DO IT! Even if it would end just on publishing that cartoons on you tube I MUST do it! :D But I would be nice if there will be a real voice of all this rock stars...

I'd really like to hear about the making of "from the inside". How was the writing with Bernie Taupin. Were you frightened to make this album after the rehab period ? For me, it's a masterpiece ! Also, as I am a singer also, I would like to understand why in concert at this period, you were singing so differently, almost as if you were breathless. Every single word was thrown like a viper from your mouth. Was it something you discussed before ? Like, you know, " well, how the new character of Alice should sing now ? He is an inmate, he is sicker than ever, his brain is worn ans insane...Should he sing or spit the words ? " or was it just a technical ruse because, maybe, your voice was not at its top for any reason... You know, me, the seventeen years old french exchange student, I was at the Cobo Arena for the "mad house tour". Such a wonderful souvenir ! I am so curious about the Alice's mind of this redemption period !
