Richard Gill No one is ever "wrong" if they like or dislike something. I liked it, too. Maybe others don't, but that's o.k. It's good to have not everyone be just like everyone else
From the Inside was an AMAZING album!!! One of my favorites of his. Just knowing he wrote it about his stay in a mental institution is enough to give it massive credibility.
I love that Alice got Vincent Price to do the intro for this. Speaking of which, he actually opened quite a few of Alice's shows. Vincent Price, man. I wish that man had never died.
I know every song on this album by heart. As a child, I worried about Veronica and hoped he got out and saved her in time. I saw my first Alice Cooper concert when I was 7 years old, sitting on my dad's shoulders at Compton Terrace in Arizona, I think this was in '79 or '80. I have since, taken my kids to see Cooper in concert and last Summer, I took my 7 year old grandson to see him too. He is a family tradition. After all, We're All Crazy!!!
This is such a classic album...love the songs and the themes and characters...but this song kicks some serious ass and wish he played it more often live!!!
@@johnthomas8606 Saw this tour in Portland OR, 1979. Great show-the thing i recall most was that jumping in & out of the movie at exactly the right time(s). I was front row, and that just blew my mind.

As an Alice fan, I must say, I have never seen him sing this live!!! Thanks, ShoutFactoryMusic ( I am 56, saw him first time when I was 13!! AND, saw him MANY times after!) Keep up the GOOD WORK!!! :-)
+81shvlhead I was there as well. It was my first concert. I feel like I've been lucky as I thought his show in Mpls was great...perhaps before the alcohol and drugs were talking a hold again...I also thought that Eddie Money was very good as well
He was severely amped during this show! Notice he can't stay still for half a second and very thin and really not even actually singing the lyrics anymore........... I'm glad he got through this period........... he was very much headed for a quick death!
I like the video. Feel sorry for him for back then when he was so addicted to alcohol. See how thin he was? He wasn't eating. If you're going to drink a lot, u have to eat. He went for treatment at least twice. I watched an interview today of him.
Not alcohol. He's geeked out. Cocaine. Not that it should be a big deal but why do so many people get it wrong? Are people in denial? From late 78 to 83 he was strung out on coke.
@@damonwillis3672 Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the first time people officially found out he was using cocaine (during this time) was in the "Super Duper Alice Cooper" documentary? I believe that came out around 6 years ago.
It was shortly after this that he fell off the wagon and got even deeper into drink and also drugs. As he put it, he's now healed. Been clean and sober since 1983.
saw him do this show when I was in high school - we smoked up - and the show actually scared the hell out of us when he did the ballad of dwight fry - we thought he WAS insane and slashing his wrists right there.!
@@lmfs4032 Sorry, it's true. Alice was a huge coke head from 1979 to 1983. He lied through his teeth about it in interview after interview for decades. But he finally admitted it (after others had been telling the truth for years) in that "Super Duper Alice Cooper" documentary a little bit ago.

&0s Cooper's was the best, IMHO...he sucked during the 80s; but he put out some good stuff leading up to now IMHO....I post this for all my preretties...;)
Well this sound a lot more raw than the record. From The Inside is one of Coopers finest but it is way to polished. I dont know if the the musicians from Toto are partly to blame for this.
André .T the slick production was pretty much all Bob Ezrin. He and AC and Dick Wagner wrote most of the album. It was definitely a departure in sound for AC.

This album never got great reviews, but it is one of my favourites. Am I wrong?
yes u are I am a coop fan from way back, tho its not as great as his earlier stuff, but far better then his later stuff

The lyrics a great but just like 'Alice Cooper goes to hell' the raw rock'n roll was polished of.
Alice loves it

Vincent Price was also on Michael Jackson's thriller, also Orithani played for both bands
@@batmanz62 That's right, he was on MJ's Thriller. Mr. Price was infinitely talented.

Im so glad this man conquered his daemons.
We need Alice Cooper now more than ever!
Creepy Logan - couldn't agree more. Very well said!
SO UNFORTUNATELY TRUE!! He'll still B Performing in 10yrs though - It's His Last Addiction!!
Love the drums on this one. Also, 32 days sober today 🥃 ☠️ 💪

Alice Cooper is amazing at anything he does!
He was pretty messed up back then! Glad he beat his problems!
He looked pretty coked up by then
One of the greatest of all time. Such a unique sound
This is the first concert I ever went to. I still love the album.

I think he played it on the No More Mister Nice Guy tour. This concert, Mad House Rock tour, blew my 16yr old mind in 1979.....Awesome!!!
He preformed it during the Theatre Of Death tour (not every night, but most nights)
Love the bass playing on this track

Pretty sad that this album was written about his "rehab" and the guy he writes it with Bernie Taupin, starts him on cocaine.

It would appear Alice had relapsed already by this time. Sad...the show suffered for it.
It's hard to watch due to him being under the influence, but I still want to see the full show.
