Adding 100 horsepower for Fast Friday and for qualifying weekend and then going back to the normal horsepower for the month of May is about the dumbest thing Indy Car does.

Have not seen such Chevy domination like this on Friday....its going to be a real challenge for the Hondas unless the Chevys cannot run 500 miles.

I still find it a bit hard to believe IMS does not have safer barriers along the straight walls. I understand the narrowness of the track but the facility has the resources to make the necessary adjustments. I figured with NASCAR returning to the oval this year it would have happened.

It’s just sad that team Penske was caught cheating in his own series at the beginning of the year and here they are taking up the front roll much faster than any other team. Makes you wonder 🤔

8th was a good result - however the larger story is one Dale Coyne car in the wall and the other a mess set up wise showing the highs and lows of indy500. PENSKE are dominating with the better engine and every time they hit the track speeds no one can touch, they could have easily had 45 minutes alone seeing their cars fly. 0.7 mph is huge advantage NEWGARDEN has.

I remember 1 year, someone ran over a rabbit. Can't remember who though. Thinking Bobby Rahal or Arie Luyendyke, but honestly don't remember Proly completely wrong about who it was. Only remember that the rabbit vaporized.

As far as Indianapolis is concerned? I have only read about 250 mph trap speeds, but cannot find any video...
Check out the early to mid 90's Indycar archives.
250 mph straight away speeds weren't necessarily common, but attained by numerous drivers.
Tracy, Riberro, Cheever, etc.

I like oval racing. Seems competition is more personal, head to head and easier to pass and keep up with positions and watch progress. Most ovals you can see the whole track were road courses you typically see just what is in front of you.
Then you know nothing about the sport. Try learning more before you make silly comments.
