Eddie looking at Chris at the start of this song looks like he is thinking "damn how could I possibly have more respect for this guy"...Eddie and Chris have known each other for years and Eddie still looks like he is in awe of Chris.
Especially given the history of this particular song. If memory serves, Eddie had pretty much just arrived in town to start playing with Mookie Blaylock and sat in on the Temple of the Dog rehearsal before Mookie Blaylock/Pearl Jam did their rehearsal. He just sat and watched Cornell struggle with the two vocal parts alone and eventually just jumped in on a mic and began singing the low part. "Hunger Strike" I believe is the earliest studio recording of Vedder singing that was actually commercially released.
You have never been more correct in your entire life and anyone who disagrees is just hating. Both of these men move the soul.like non other and I'm a 60s and 70s rock baby so I know
Even though this song didn't chart until '92 (a year after I was born) I think Temple of the Dog is one of the most important albums of the 90's because not only does it give tribute to Andy Wood but in my opinion this song literally defines the struggle of every person in a band during the grunge era.
Years and years later, the way Chris end Ed stare at each other for the first half gives me chills. Reminds me of big brother Chris telling Eddie “I’m bringing it, you better bring it”. The stories they’ve shared and had. RIP Chris
Love this song 🥰 R.I.P. Beautiful Keeper 🙏🏽🕊 Happy Birthday 🎊 always will be in our hearts ♥️ your beautiful voice will never die. You are so loved and missed. Can’t help but cry 😢
Dude you're dumb as rocks lmfao. Chris sounds nothing like the actual studio recording live lmao and eddie nails it likenthey are playing the record. It's scary how ppl think with emotion over reality and make themselves look retarded. Eddie is the most sought after vocalist in history because of his accuracy and overwhelming projection. The doors would not perform without him at their hall of fame Induction. Thats the biggest mic drop of all time. They weren't looking for cornell lmao. Eddie's unplugged has the most views by far and vocal coach youtubers react to pjs unplugged just to get a million views. Done schooling your stupidity
@riptorn311 "Eddie still looks like he is in awe of Chris." Who wouldn't be?! lol. Eddie said Chris inviting him to sing on this track was huge for his confidence because before this album, or Soundgarden broke, Ed said "Chris was so far ahead of us all" in terms of writing/arranging...
@riptorn311 in pj interviews all band members say that chris took eddie under hes wing when he just started and was all shy he really help him i think eddie will always feel like he owe him
card junki and in utero think your the twits here with mean things to say these guys are awesome and tallented kurt was awesone and chris and ed are part of one of the most coolest time in music

#justiceforchris!
They definitely shared a true and real brotherly and professional love and admiration for eachother.
No egos here ..just 2 buddies singing and doing a fantastic job..too bad other voices in the rock music industry couldn't follow suit...

I don't think it's awe. It's more like appreciation. They inspired each other. Went o. Hikes together etc.
Stay with someone who looks at you the way Eddie looks at Chris during the first verse.
Yes!
SD-Bassist Yes... Loved It😍😍😍😍
SD-Bassist I'm cryin... emotional
SD-Bassist omg my thought exactly. Such a deep feeling.
so much love and adoration ❤ he's been looking at chris like that since the early 90's
Ed loved Chris like for real. You can't fake that.
in my opinion two of the most striking voices of rock ever
You have never been more correct in your entire life and anyone who disagrees is just hating. Both of these men move the soul.like non other and I'm a 60s and 70s rock baby so I know
Never saw one friend looking to another with sooo much admiration...
Rest in peace Chris
May you find freedom and solace.
you will be missed greatly

Perfect with Eddie! 🎸🎙🎶 I miss Chris's performance and his vocal! :( RIP
Chris is in a leauge of his own when singing with Eddie. You can clearly see it and hear it in this video.
Yes. He was like that with Chester, too. That’s what soulmates look like.

They should cooperate more often.

@riptorn311 I've been a fan of Soundgarden since 1989 and I am still in awe of Chris Cornell's talents.

Excellent!!!!!
these guys are awesome not only as a band but also as people hope they come rock out Seattle Washington again soon
There's a bit of enviousness on Vedder's face, like damn his beautiful angelic voice!

Audioslave was nothing in comparison to Soundgarden.
I need to find out what water Chris is drinking these days. He doesn't look a day older than 30.
Chris is looking more and more like Jesus
Wish I was there.
I could hardly choose! ;-)
Eddie is so hot in this.. damn =/
Shit..I would be on my knees blowing chris' mic if i was on stage with him trying to match them vocals...No Homo.

I always thought, Eddie was taller than Chris, guess not.
Eddie is 5'7 and Chris is 6'2
Chris was 6'3.
Ok, this makes me a little less disappointed in Cornell for breaking up Audioslave. Not completely, but a little less.
muito foda xD
not to sound rude but how do you know what jesus looked like ?
Peace Sign*
Stereotypical Jesus looks exactly like Cornell.
FROOB202 but will never sound like Cornell
alexx esquivel 🤣
I think that Eddie is thinking, how this guy with so much talent could have broken one of the greatest band os all times... ed, tell me Im right....
is it just me or does cornell look like the most awkward musician ever onstage?
watching this knowing how badly my dad wanted to be here, but his friend switched up on him last minute and went with someone else🥲
is it just me or does cornell look like the most awkward musician ever onstage?
+Gavin Nicholls I've never seen or met a genius who wasn't awkward.
+mizereeman Nice words
