      That is true, yet also there is an element of giving an inch and taking a mile, giving predators who previously would not have considered this an option. My main reason for considering this is the rise in sexual offenders self-identifying to gain access to female prison systems. I once knew a trans kid in school who wrote an essay on the problems with gendered bathrooms, and the opening paragraph was always one that stuck with me.
    It talked about the perspective of a trans man, born a girl, standing between two gendered bathrooms. He just so happens to be wearing a pink top and painted nails that day. He realizes that if he were to walk into the men’s bathroom, he would be at risk of being assaulted by the men in there for being effeminate, or even assumed as trans. But, if he were to walk into the women’s bathroom, it’s very likely that all the other women in there would be uncomfortable or worried about a man being in their bathroom.
    People complain about trans people in bathrooms all the time. On how uncomfortable it makes them feel, when very little understand what it’s actually like in our shoes. It’s a lose-lose scenario, we either make others uncomfortable or risk being uncomfortable/assaulted.

      I have no clue why any male would ever want to be a woman…. If you just have a fetish you really need to kill that thing quickly. It shouldn’t live very long or serve you any good in the long run. If you get the down below removed remember it doesn’t ever grow back you only have the one. That’s just wild to me that any male would want to deal with some of the crap that I’ve dealt with. You sir have lost your marbles, I pray the best for you that you find them once again. I assume you weren’t born insane. 😅 I don’t think anyone really is born to be nuts 🤔

    Worked at a public theater for ten years. Had two incidents where the bathrooms were not a safe place.
    1.) A married couple who was pissed off at two women for telling them to shut up in the movie & even got staff to tell the couple they needed to be quiet or would be asked to leave, the husband went into the women’s room & punched one of the women. The other one was able to get out of there & we were able to intervene before he could do more damage.
    2.) This preteen/teen girl with special needs always came to see movies & her helper was a nun. There was one time we caught them in a sexual encounter in the women’s room.
    Fact is…danger comes in a variety of forms & unfortunately we live in very unsafe times. It’s not Trans People who are the threat. It’s just People.

      There's reasons why the bathrooms were originally separated, and that was to protect people, especially women and children. Allowing everyone the option to use whichever they feel like using isn't protecting anyone in fact, it's making it even more dangerous. There's a difference between someone being completely transitioned using the women's bathroom because they don't have that something that can be used as a weapon against women and children. In a perfect world, we wouldn't have to worry about all the fakes and perverted ones taking advantage of the community, but that just isn't the case. Because this is the real world, the safety of women and children needs to come before the .5%. Like Dylan is an attention whore and what happened after he started doing trans stuff? He became very famous before he tried and failed multiple times. Also you can get away with assaulting people easier because if you assault a woman and you are a woman also(even though you are not) you will get less of a sentence and unlike before you can do it way easier. If a biological guy beats you up , he beat up a woman(even though he didn't) so you can act like a victim. Like recently there was a trans weight lifter who mocked biological women because "they are weak". So a biological man identified as a woman just to beat him and he lifted 100kg more than the transwoman and then the complaining started of how disrespectful the guy is and transwoman turned himself into a victim. A lot of these people just happened to be weak men so when they become women they suddenly are at the top. Again will use Lia Thomas as an example. As a guy he was 400 something ranked swimmer. As a woman number 1.

No not trans women, not crossdressers, not people who looked like they were trying to pass but weren’t, men. If a person (because men get assaulted too) wanted to walk into a specific gendered bathroom and assault someone they wouldn't go so far out of their way to pretend being trans to do so. They'll just do it. I've seen women and men just full-on go into opposite-gender bathrooms and no one bats an eye. But as soon as my trans ass just goes into women's or men's to take a quick pee everyone freaks tf out. Even when I've gone to gender-neutral bathrooms I've been assaulted by cis people. ME going into the gender-neutral bathroom to avoid problems because im trans gets assaulted by cis people in a gender-neutral bathroom. SAlters are just going to do what they want. They aren't gonna put on a dress, a wig, makeup, and raise the pitch of their voice just to go into a bathroom and assault someone they will just do it. This argument about trans people wanting to prey on people in bathrooms is so dumb to me cause every trans person I've ever met/talked to has some of the worst bladder problems known to man because we just hold ourselves and won't use a public restroom because of dysphoria and scrutiny from others. I've been told so many times by guys that they'll SA me since “I wanna be a man” just because I went into the men's room to piss. Girls have shit-talked me when they see me or hear me in the restroom and since sophomore year of high school I've just learned to hold myself. I promise you if you see or think you see a trans person using the restroom they are just in there to go and dip as quickly as possible. As a cis woman, I hardly find trans people are the problem. Granted, I've never had an encounter with a trans woman in a bathroom, but I did have an encounter with a transphobic cis woman who threatened to attack me in the women's bathroom because she mistook me for being trans. She based her assumption on the fact that my hair was short and my bust was small. I couldn't even be bothered to try to explain to her that we're all born with different body shapes and I just ended up leaving and waiting until I was sure she left the bathroom so I could go use it in peace. So much about "we can always tell", huh.

But because I was making her uncomfortable (despite being alone in the bathroom till she entered with security) I needed to prove to her I wasn't a man. How was I supposed to do this? Oh yeah, by showing her I didn't have a penis. When I refused (obviously) I was called a pedophile and screamed at to leave (which I had been about to do when she walked in). So an adult demanded a child exposure their genitals and then called them a pedophile when they rightly refused. Oh, and she was blocking the door and telling me to stay away from her while screaming at me to get out. I can't leave if you won't let me.

    So done with this comment section. Men have been assaulting women in bathrooms for years. In my teen girls self defense class, we were literally taught not to go into the bathroom when we felt unsafe because it was so common. And the whole "trans panic" wasn't a thing. Men did not dress up, they just walked in and did it.
    Trans women are not men looking to attack women, and even if one out of every 100 are, they are the VAST minority. I've been assaulted and threatened in bathrooms by men more than once, and not once did they need to dress up. And twice they got away with it still.
    Trans people are not the problem. It's cis men who feel that they have a right to women's bodies. If women banded together with trans women to call out the real problem, we could make some changes. You know, instead of demonizing someone who is often just as much a victim as we are.

      @DrivingMissLazy Год назад +2

      If cameras and/or witnesses see a non-trans man entering a women's restroom then it will be assumed by all that he may be committing a sex crime and his crime can be quickly impeded.
      A man who cross-dresses, because of the societal climate, can freely enter the female restroom as a man and could commit a sex crime unimpeded. No security or witnesses will challenge his reasons for entering the female restroom.
      Or, what if a woman alone sees female shoes on the floor from her stall. She can vaguely make out a dress through the crack in the door. She feels safe, believing it's another woman. She leaves her stall and is sexually assaulted. Had the man been wearing men's attire (shoes, pants, shirt, etc.) she would have been able to call 911 or scream for help before the crime could be committed and from the locked stall.
      Then, if caught, the man who dressed like a woman faces less steep punishment and can be placed in a woman's prison.
      This is why a man might choose to cross-dress to commit his crime-- it unfortunately becomes a crime with less impediment. Common sense tells you that most criminals prefer the easiest, least likely to be caught and prosecuted, crime.

    trans man here. female to male. (AFAB)
    now, even though I identify as a male, I go to the female bathroom. why?
    1. the bathrooms are divided by sex, not gender orientation.
    2. most of the time, male bathrooms have urinals. I can't use urinals. no, literally - I don't know how to pee standing up.
    3. I'm aware it could make some uncomfortable to have the opposite sex possibly see his private parts. I may still be a guy, but it's a little different. maybe my very good homies would let me.

    we just need safer bathrooms. people don’t get assaulted in bathrooms because of trans people, they’re assaulted because of predators who can easily enter stalls. as women we should be looking out for each other and looking out for signs of people showing predatory behavior, not turning against trans women. trans women can be attacked just as much as we can, and they face as many problems as we do. turning against them is not the answer. instead, what you can do is listen and watch for warning signs of predatory behavior. for example. someone lingering in the bathroom for a long period of time who is watching people come in or looking under stalls. or if you hear someone make a strange and uncomfortable comment toward a woman exiting or entering the bathroom. maybe someone being followed into the bathroom who looks afraid. we need to be watching out for each other, not letting prejudice blind us from things that are actually happening. these comments break my heart because so many women have come forward about being assaulted in bathrooms by just average looking random people. trans people are not the monsters, and we need to stop stereotyping them as such.

    • @ashbash635
      @ashbash635 Год назад

      Trans is the bridge these predators are using to gain access to places they couldn’t walk into as openly as they can now. You know women can only use the girls bathroom and not the men’s. Dylan used male bathrooms all his life until he suddenly became a girl at 26. He has a penis he can use the men’s bathroom something I cannot. Dylan wants to use our bathroom to validate himself. If he had empathy and caring for women he would understand that and wouldn’t demand to be in our space. You may be comfortable with a man dressed as a girl. I’m not and his preference shouldn’t put my safety on the line. Why can’t these men just grow up and use the men’s bathroom for heavens sake. We shouldn’t make many uncomfortable for the sake of the few. Why don’t people understand this. It’s not about trans at all it’s what it’s allowing because of it. Single sex spaces exist for a reason. They don’t just want the bathrooms. They want to be in female wards. Rape crisis centres. DV shelters. It’s opening the door wide to men coming into all those spaces. If you let one you have to let them all. If you’re truly trans and have transitioned and have a female physique and appearance that I don’t mind because I can’t tell they aren’t women. Dylan is a pretender whose doing this for fame and money I’ve been following him for a while. He tried gay. He tried non binary. He tried ten different ways to become famous. This is the one that worked. So why don’t you support women and girls instead of male pretenders who are doing damage to women’s rights and spaces.

    • @emmadrinksbleach3246
      @emmadrinksbleach3246 Год назад +17

      @Trøüt and my point is that it’s ALWAYS been easy. there’s no security outside a bathroom telling a man that he can’t enter the restroom. someone can wander in at any time and prey on someone. my point is also that people tend to pay attention to the fact that someone is trans rather than paying attention to genuine potential danger. I’ve seen people in this comment section sharing their stories of how fully masc presenting men walked right into the women’s room and assaulted people. it happens at bars a lot because people are intoxicated and less likely to notice something is going on. there IS something that can and will be done if an assault in a bathroom is reported, so the narrative that someone cannot be held accountable for an assault due to them being trans is just false. if ANYONE walks into a bathroom and assaults someone they can be arrested for that. trans people also have a chance of being assaulted in the restroom as well, most likely ist for being trans and nothing else. I personally think that individual private bathrooms are something that should be put in place, because you can currently walk into a restroom with flimsy stalls and get into that stall fairly easily. the issue is not trans women being able to use the restroom, it’s how safe the restrooms themselves are. there is no statistic of trans people assaulting people in large numbers, and has never been. there are more priests that molest kids every year than trans people. the idea that a trans person using the restroom is any more dangerous than anyone else is just prejudice and hate.

He’s in the girls locker room watching teenage girls shower as he exposes himself. The girl tells the ymca that a man exposed his penis. The staff say he’s a woman so a man who would be arrested says the magic words. “I’m a woman.” Now it’s not a lewd act and indecent exposure to a teenager whose a minor. Now it’s a woman showering. These are two things that actually happened. There are many more. There has been women raped in prison by a man who said who was a woman. Don’t you see the problem now that the threshold is “self identity.” Men have exploited this. They will continue to exploit this. So women who should never have been victims if their boundaries had been respected and men weren’t given access they never would have been victimized. So it’s not about trans women at all. It’s what inclusion has done at the expensive of women and girls.

      @@ashbash635 since when is this an issue? when a person is incarcerated and attempts to call themself a woman as a last ditch effort when they do not present as the opposite sex at all, that isn’t going to cut it. it also goes without saying that any person who exposes themself in front of someone else without the other person’s consent will still face consequences. I personally do not think that there should be public showers, as most people do not feel comfortable being around other naked people, but those people are just there to shower. unless someone is being actively sexual toward another person and harassing them, I can’t see how they don’t have the right to shower. by being in a public shower you consent to being around other nude people. if I’m in a public shower the last thing I’m going to do is stare at someone’s genitals, and most if not all trans women will not shower in public because they are afraid of other people seeing their genitals. moving on from that ignorance, my issue is that people make trans people out to be a HUGE issue in society that needs to be urgently addressed, and the situations that you are describing are either very few in total or imaginary. people like to ignore the fact that there are so many cases of cisgender men spying on women in restrooms, locker rooms, showers, etc. and those cases far outnumber the few, if any, cases involving trans people. it’s a classic case of people picking on a minority and acting as if allowing people to have rights will lead to horrible things. it’s just like how people have claimed that allowing LGBTQ people to exist will allow pedophilia to become legal. it’s propaganda that perpetuates hate against a minority, and distracts us from real world issues. our right to use social media privately is being threatened, womens’ right to choice is being slowly taken, trans and LGBTQ people are being murdered for simply existing, our earth is dying and a new project that has been approved will speed it up, and our schools aren’t even safe anymore because they are turning into war zones. trans people are 1% of our population and yet people still choose them to target and blame for everything.

      @@emmadrinksbleach3246 in Canada it does cut it, actually. There’s no test to assume if someone is true trans vs. a male predator, so we either compromise the safety and comfort of all “cis” women or we have sex-segregated bathrooms.
