Hey Ash. I've kinda went on to other hobbies (gold panning, magnet fishing, building guns [I'm in the U S.], etc...) You are still one of my favorite content creators. Keep on doing what your doing, you're an amazing creator. Happy holidays and I wish the best for you and yours.
Ahh, nostalgia! Like you, Hampton's book was one of the first I ever read (along with books by Eddie the Wire). And, like you, despite thinking the Dragon looked pretty cool, I never got around to making one either. Clearance with all the little nubs was always a concern I had, so I'm not surprised to see that can be an issue. Might be worth having for the versatility, even if it's a bit fiddly.
I'd suggest two design changes: - locate the hole for the key ring on the opposite side, where it is wider already... that would also gain some more air on the thinner tensioning end - place the little TOK tensioning nib in an angle so it won't bind however, interesting combo design
Cool little tool, glad they made it, but for me I pick mainly in hand. That tool needs to be used (mostly) with a vice, at least that is my impression. Thanks for the review, it's unique and definitely on my list.
This is just another flat cut metal thingy that kinda fits into a lock. What I really need is an HPC-1000 pick set because more wavey and random shaped picks mean I can open anything.
Pardon but I have a question. When you say you are not paid to review an item does that mean they send it to you for free for your review but do not pay you additional monies? Or does it mean that you purchased the lock your self and are giving a review of it? i have always been curious of this as I have heard it multiple times.
Hello. I have just gotten a lock to learn how to pick it. One of the pins have jumped out and i cant get it back in plays. I dont know how to fix it and mabye you can give me some advise. :/
Please excuse my ignorance, but I have to ask how a tool that doesn't seem to have a handedness is problematic to lefties? Is it just due to the direction the lock needs to turn? Does it interfere somehow?
I tried to make one out of an old spatula Didn't work out very well Material was too soft Im still trying to source a good peice of Material to use Guess I could just use my old credit card 😂
Interestingly, I recently read in someone's comments..... somewhere(🤷), that they had developed several tools and I'm sure "Dragon Wrench", or tensioner was mentioned in that comment. Also, this person expressed a desire, to see his tools produced by a larger concern. If this is the very same, then I'm thrilled to see this dream come to fruition. Good stuff! It'll not be for everyone, but I enjoyed this and would happily add one or two to my kit. Thanks for sharing. 😁🔓🤘
I love how you always state it's not a paid review, but you got the tool free for review. So basically you're saying the tool has zero value, so we can all get it for free. Let's goooooo! No the tool does have value so it is a form a payment, therefore this is a sponsored review. That aside I really do enjoy your videos and have for over 5 year, keep up the great videos, cheers !
Difference between getting an item for free for review and sponsored review is a contract. Having a sponsor contract you can't actually say what you want. Big legal difference.
@@samuraidriver4x4 Well you are right in part. Most sponsored videos are reviewed by the sponsor first before the video is posted. But when you have a long standing relationship and collaborate with the company regularly over a decade, they are much more lenient and open to constructive criticism. When you get a $200 kit from Multi-Pick for review they know they will make a lot more sales just from the review so the little bit of constructive criticism he gives will have been worth the transaction. The reviewer saying ""I would have preferred to see this in the kit instead of this'', isn't damming enough to hurt the companies image. But yes legally he should be good.
So U.K. laws have difference between advertising and sponsorship, sponsorship basically includes things like being given say, makeup for review or access to a car, cinema tickets etc. many, many creators do not even disclose this. I do and I always make sure I check the ‘I received an item of value’ thing to make sure there is no ambiguity. Advertising under U.K. law requires an element of control - a contract, a demand to say certain things for a length of time, specific requirements to make a video for a certain length on a certain date etc etc. I’m under no obligations at all and if I don’t want to do a review I don’t have to. Now, that being said, I think disclosure IS very important. Would you be as critical of something if you bought it yourself? I would like to think yes, but you need to be able to make your own decisions as to whether I’m influenced, subconsciously or otherwise. Oh, and you MUST do as much independent research as you can. No one should just take one influencer’s view on anything. Happy picking and I hope you all have a prosperous new year
Interesting little tool! Look forward to having in my kit and trying out for funsies for sure 🔓

I seem to recall that the "wings" of the dragon were to be angled at 15 degrees; to allow better access to the keyway.

Thank you so so much for being the first to make a video on this. So intresting

Dónde lo puedo comprar y cuánto vale, estoy en Venezuela.

Now that Sparrows started producing it, I give it two weeks before Ken starts claiming he invented it.
😂😂
i was sent the pattern for this a few months ago, i made one and found it more obstructive than useful

I have gotten it back in to plays and the lock works again. like your videos and will keep watching. :)
Very cool, but agree, a little bulky...
looks clunky and not for left handed pickers
Please excuse my ignorance, but I have to ask how a tool that doesn't seem to have a handedness is problematic to lefties? Is it just due to the direction the lock needs to turn? Does it interfere somehow?
Another great review! We've added to the page. - Have a good christmas from the team :)
I tried to make one out of an old spatula
Didn't work out very well
Material was too soft
Im still trying to source a good peice of Material to use
Guess I could just use my old credit card 😂
Really needs to be made from spring-steel of a suitable thickness, but I'm not sure whether we were told how thick this tool is!
Thanks for the great info mate! Cheers🍻🫶🏼🙏🏼🫶🏼
Very cool 😎 🐾🐈⬛👏👏👏👍🍻
I don’t seem to know how to handle my dragon wrench very well
I guess one man's dragon is another man's hummingbird 😂. I can see getting one for the unique design but I can't see getting rid of my kit as is 👍🏼🍻
Inca Hummingbird 😂
that also came into my mind after a while
cool video Ash mate 👊👍😎🇬🇧😊
So inexpensive I'll buy one just to play around with. Looks like it might make a nice part of a minimal EDC set.

Don't remember whether it was mentioned, but how thick is this Dragon-Wrench?

@samuraidriver4x4, close. It depends on the country and state etc. advertising and sponsorship are different things on the U.K.
