    Excellent presentation. Like Charles Hall work on Biophysical economics, and updated with the latest insights from the climate crisis.
    I wonder how this landed at INSEAD?!
    We can just hope that some of the people in the audience learn and keep learning, and develop their moral sensitivity to make wise, long term choices in their professional lives.

    Degrowth is the way INSEAD friends... Less finance, less bonuses, less stock options. Respect other people whoever they are, share with everyone and enjoy ! Life is short and balance sheets is only a piece of paper regardless ;-)

    In other presentations by JMJ he says there is no way renewables are going to replace high density fossil fuels anytime remotely soon..

      He said the same thing as others. Renewables do provide energy. But they can never replace fossil fuels and provide enough energy for our current civilization. And there is the question of if we could rebuild renewables after their lifespan with only renewables.

    Question to ask Jancovici: what is his position on climate engineering?

    • @Rnankn
      @Rnankn Год назад

      You don’t have to ask him, it is untenable. We already are engineering the climate, and can stop but are choosing not to. Any attempt to change it more would have so many variables and unknowns it would be reckless beyond reason, and could only serve to delay the inevitable for the people who want to deny reality for longer still.

      @@Rnankn Look into the issue with an open mind using reason and you might change your opinion.
